Fire Service, dude was quick and to the point. The food is always good and they are solid on the portions.

This is a place I have come for the past 3 years and has not failed me till this day. The fish is always so fresh, well seasoned and the best choices of toppings. The place stays clean so you can definitely eat there, nothing fancy the food is the star. The service is very quick and the set up on how you order is very efficient. I love the choice of toppings and choice is sauces. They also let you sample the fish first if you'd like before choosing! Highly recommend if you're in the area for great fresh poke for a great price definitely worth every penny, my total came out to $18.

The best poké spot in the IE hands down. They have amazing and fresh tasting ingredients and they are very accommodating. I've been coming here for years now and will continue to!

Too much sauce

We had a very disappointing lunch at this location. They were out of a number of things (salmon, furikake, garlic chips, edamame, ice), and it was only partially notated by the cash register, which is after you've completed ordering. They did not mix any of the ingredients, and the amount of sauce they put on top rendered our food almost inedible. The jalapeño chunks were massive and thickly sliced. Each table had a bottle of hot sauce on it, which was clearly labeled "refrigerate after opening." We also noted while we were eating the the next people came in and waited for several minutes, and no one came to help them. By the time we left, they still had not been helped. We will not be revisiting this location.

Piece of plastic wrapping inside my plate

This is my fav poke spot and it's unfortunate that it's not consistent. Sometimes it's super good and fresh and other times it just arrives questionable. One time I found a piece of plastic rapping in the middle of my plate. This time the rice is raw. Like why is sushi rice crunchy???

We came by over the weekend for a quick lunch. We bought the 2 proteins bowl and the 3 proteins bowl. Same sized bowl. They don't have chips here and while they have hot cheetos crumbs for the pokerito, they don't have it for the bowls. The proteins and the other ingredients were fresh. I was surprised that the staff just added the base, proteins, toppings and then poured sauces all over the bowl. Usually they'll ask for the proteins and mix them with sauces first before putting them on the base. Different technique? I also didn't see octopus for the protein. They do have a more extensive selections on the salmon and shrimp though. Overall the bowls will satisfy your hunger and it's decently priced. We ate at the establishment and they kept the tables and floors clean.

Fish quality was alright. The portions were a little small. But the worker and timely preparation was nice.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent and occasional Uber Eats driver found himself in the northeast corner of Ontario after ferrying a Mediterranean meal from my hometown of Diamond Bar to Ontario when my attention was riveted by the "Kra Z Kai's Laotian BBQ" signage alight on the building. Upon entering into the communal dining hall, I discovered that Kra Z Kai's apparently shuttered a month ago. I immediately noticed the long queue snaking its way to the register at Shootz. Though I was crestfallen about Kra Z Kai's closure, I decided to roll the dice -shootz my luck, if you'll pardon my brutal pun- and try out Shootz. I tabbed the best looking item on their pictorial menu- Their much balkyhooed Kimchi Buttered Katsu Chicken Combo, which comes with spicy Mac Salad and steamed rice tossed with green onions and furikake, a popular Nipponese seasoning comprised of minced dried seaweed (nori), sesame seeds and salt/pepper. The moneymaker dish is excellent. The katsu chicken has a nice but not overly crunchy exterior, drenched in a flavorful, Umani-rich sauce made of kimchi butter. Shootz has locations in Ontario, Whittier and Stanton, so I don't know when I'll have it again...but if I I find myself in Ontario again, then I'll definitely take -you guessed it- another shot.

I ordered the spicy shrimp plate, a spicy mixed plate, and the two chicken sando combo, which came with a spam brûlée musubi shot. Everything was pretty solid and flavorful. You can tell they do what they do well. That said, the menu is pretty limited. Most items are just variations of the same thing--chicken sandwich, chicken plate, or shrimp plate--so there's not a ton of variety. Because of that, it all kind of blends together. It's located inside a food court, which makes it super casual and easy to stop by, and parking is plentiful, which is always a plus. Overall, it was good and I'd come back, just not something I'm craving all the time. Solid 4 stars.

No biggie, I will just make it clear next time that I want a runny egg but I thought that was standard and any other way has to be stated. The rice was also good. Definitely nothing to complain about. The one thing that I think need to be addressed is the patty. It was very thin... Still not a deal breaker but it the texture was dry and not hamburger like if that makes since at all. It's only because the patty might be a hard item for them to change that I was left let down.

The portions here were a little smaller, but the quality was amazing. The white rice with furikake was great, and the mac salad was fresh with a slightly sweeter taste, which I loved. I got the teriyaki plate with chicken and beef teriyaki, and both were tender, juicy, flavorful, and well marinated. The short ribs had an amazing glaze, and the chicken katsu, my girlfriend's favorite, was crispy, juicy, and not overfried at all. Their customer service was amazing too. My girlfriend ran in to grab our food and realized after coming back that she forgot the katsu and teriyaki sauces. When she went back in, the girl working was kind enough to grab them and even asked if she wanted to try any other sauces. Great customer service and amazing food, perfect pair! The dishes I ordered were much sweeter than I expected, and the sweetness tended to overpower the savory flavors. If you enjoy sweeter Hawaiian-style food, you may really like it, but I was hoping for a better balance of sweet and savory. Ambiance typical of a Hawaiian food joint. Overall, a decent experience thanks to the great customer service, but I'm not sure I'd return for the food.

Like so many places though, they took advantage of the Covid-era inflation and have raised their prices much more than warranted. My favorite was the Garlic Shrimp plate, but the price has DOUBLED in the last couple of years, and I refuse to be gouged. The cost of the other plates is now higher than the shrimp used to be too. The Hawaiian rice was tasty but always overpriced considering the little portion of meat in it. This is not chain restaurant, so I seriously doubt they are paying their staff the fast-food wage that CA mandates for fast-food workers, so I chalk it up to price gouging. Chicken, rice and macaroni prices have not doubled, and I can buy over 2 lbs of shrimp for $18 (total cost of Garlic Shrimp plate) vs the 14 shrimp on the Garlic Shrimp plate. So, they've lost a steady customer because of their greed. I'd go back if their prices were more reasonable because I used to enjoy most of the dishes I tried. After reading a few other reviews, it sounds like the owners have changed and the nice guy that used to work the front is now gone since I've been there over a yr ago. If they bothered to post a menu online, I could see if the prices are now more reasonable and I'd try it again. That's why I checked out their website today, but no luck.

I ordered the Chicken Combo (Chicken Katsu & BBQ Chicken - $13.19) and Spam Musubi ($5.89). The Chicken Combo is a lot of food. The Chicken Katsu is crisp, large, and crunchy. The BBQ Chicken is thick, peppery, and moist. The rice and cabbage are fresh. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the macaroni salad; it tasted like water mixed with leftover mayonnaise. Thankfully, the macaroni salad's lingering aftertaste can easily be ignored. Also, I enjoyed the Spam Musubi. Its appearance is underwhelming; however, the flavors and textures are fantastic. Too many other places sell rubbery, chewy seaweed; squishy, spongey rice; and overly-sweet, mushy spam. Wok & Grill avoids these errors. I arrived at Wok & Grill on a Friday (around 12:16PM). The food arrived in 13 minutes. I noticed many customers entering and exiting. Wok & Grill's ambiance is mixed. The counter looks like a gasoline station window; it's surrounded by transparent plastic windows. The staff speaks into a mini microphone to communicate; sometimes the words are muffled. The location is also warm and slightly humid. The location has a restroom and several tables to dine-in. The music is barely audible; the hum from the soda vending machine is the loudest sound. The location is also relatively clean; I had to wipe off some tiny crumbs from my seat before sitting down. However, staff appears very dedicated. The chefs are cooking nonstop, and its cashier appears passionate when welcoming new customers. I noticed how staff flamboyantly juggled a plastic to-go bag between hands before handing the item. "I can read your mind," he'd playfully explain, before quickly saying "Hola!" to a new customer. Overall, Wok & Grill is easy to recommend if you're nearby. The food is great value; the staff is passionate; and the portions are large and tasty. Wok & Grill is not a unique experience, but it's a solid choice.

The foam visibly softened and melted wherever it touched the food. They didn't even bother to put a layer of aluminum foil between the food and the container. EPS is not designed for food at this temperature. Once it starts softening and melting, chemicals from the plastic can migrate into the food. This isn't acceptable food handling. Heat resistant containers cost very little, so the only explanation is they're too cheap to use the right packaging. I won't be back until they stop cutting corners.
