They had a pop up at Machine house brewery and my friend said the tacos were delicious so I wanted to tag along to try! Lamb curry was delicious and so were the tacos! The guys working the booth were amazing! Food had great flavor! Definitely worth the try!

Tolu Modern Fijian Cuisine is an absolute must try! My favorite is their take on the taco with their chicken curry! I tried them down at Point Ruston Market. Each week they have different menu items, all are delicious. If you like flavor you have to try Tolu, and if they have their island punch... get it. A great tropical refreshment, perfect for a hot day! You simply cannot go wrong with anything from Tolu! I cannot wait for this family owned business to get a permanent restaurant space! Check them out today and every day after, because you will be hooked on flavor!

Customer service is always so wonderful and friendly here. I ordered tolu chicken tacos. They kindly gave us some daal to try with them too. It was all so tasty and everything we were looking for in lunch today.

I've never had Fijian cuisine before this, so I don't have anything to base this off off, but I am fully convinced that these guys can't be beat. Their poori tacos are to die for! And the brothers that run this place are very nice guys. They make their fry bread on the spot and then fill it to the brim with chicken or chickpeas and top it with salsa and a tamarind chutney that adds just the right amount of sweetness to this dish. I only wish that I had had one more taco last time I visited, cause now I have to wait a couple weeks til they're back!

Tried the chicken poori tacos. Really delicious! Other reviewers are spot-on that it shares a lot of similar flavors as a samosa (the outer fry bread even has similar seasoning as some samosa doughs--I think these are ajwain seeds?). Everything is cooked really well and is super fresh (fry bread is even freshly fried on the spot!). I think that because the stand is rather new and still working out the kinks (and is limited w a small frier for the breads), I did have to wait quite a while to get the food (~20+ min). The wait was worth it, though! The guys working behind the table were also all really nice and thanked us for our patience.

Tolu is a great spot for tacos! It's a really great flavor in tacos! The potato's and the chicken (the content in the tacos) reminds me of some Indian curry! The sauce they have with the tacos is also really flavorful and hits the spot. Lastly, the tortilla they made is soooooooo good! I really don't know how to describe it to give it justice but it's kinda like naan bread but better! Worth trying if you are in Seattle on Saturday!

Finally got to try the food. It was amazing!!! We tried everything available:) Chicken curry, chicken tacos, chickpea tacos, passion fruit cheesecake and the island punch. Loved it all and will definitely be back!

a bowl of soup and a plate of fried fish

Deliciousness in Georgetown. The chicken tolu tacos burst with spices. Definitely recommend. The lamb curry with Poori great flavors, nice spice at the end also very much recommended. Pop up event at Machine house Brewery makes this a winning combination

Amazing tacos! So flavorful with a perfect amount of spice and savory taste. Very nice staff. We will definitely be going back!

Like a samosa in the shape of a taco. Totally delicious. With special Indo-Fijian spices, that we hope they start packaging and selling too.

All street parking was full for blocks so we parked a few blocks away and walked. Only when we entered did we notice they validate parking for restaurant guests at the nearby parking garage. We were there in time for evening happy hour and they had a lot of choices for food and drink but to be honest, I thought the prices for happy hour were not that cheap and compared to other restaurants. Our server did a great job answering our questions and bringing out our food and drinks. We ordered zucchini fries and nachos. The zucchini fries were delicious and perfectly crunchy with the batter on top. We really enjoyed those. The nachos were flavorful too but the cheese wasn't what we were expecting. It was a green chili queso but it seemed very runny vs a thicker cheese. It was still delicious but just something different than we expected.

Parking is easy…read moresince you're able to validate it in the restaurant using a QR code or something similar (I forget) on the table which was super convenient. We got seated right away. Food came out quickly. Our server was very friendly as well. Checked up on us often and was very warm. We ordered a couple drinks. They were solid and got me a bit tipsy lol. We ordered queso fries as our appetizer. It was my favorite thing we ate there. Fries were warm, crunchy, and soft in the inside. The sauce and meat tasted great too. We also ordered corn dogs off the happy hour menu - the cornbread around the dog itself was thinner than I'm used to in a normal corn dog, which I liked! It was a good bread to meat ratio and the sauce was excellent. For our main, we got the bang bang burrito and the birria tacos. The burrito was delicious. Super flavorful and the side salad was good too. Loved the dressing. The birria tacos were not the best I've ever had. The tacos themselves were good, and the side of beans was solid. Just the consommé was very oily. Very enjoyable experience overall. Definitely would return.
