They have old-fashioned favorites like Grape-Nut custard and rum raisin (I'm still sad they don't have frozen pudding anymore), classics like butter crunch and maple walnut, and fun flavors like Crunch-a-Saurus, Maine Black Bear, Phantom Berry, Cranberry Harvest, and Death by Chocolate, just to name a few. They also have sherbet, frozen yogurt, non-dairy sorbet, and no-sugar-added options, so there's really something for everyone. On this visit, we ordered an orange float--orange soda poured over creamy vanilla ice cream, making just the right amount of foam and topped with a maraschino cherry. We also got a dish of Totally Turtle, a vanilla ice cream with caramel swirl, cashews, and what I think were brownie pieces. It was a delicious surprise. The employees are always friendly, patient, and efficient, even when it's busy. Before you head home, don't forget to stop at the Hanson Farm Stand for fresh-picked corn, eggs, and other local goodies. It makes a great visit even better.
