So I come in on a Sunday to get a large cone of course the girl has an attitude behind the counter the one with the dog hair. She looks like she's Spanish who knows what she is, but that's not important. Serious attitude gives me my ice cream one that's made like she's feeding a toddler. Next time you go to daddy's dairy ask to speak to the girl with the braids in the hair she has a polite attitude. She's very patient. Great location! First time here and we were quite impressed with the amount of hard serve and soft serve ice cream they have to offer! The prices were pretty fair but the ice cream itself wasn't so great. Only 3 employees working and lines were out the door. There should be more guidance to limit the amount of people inside the shop at once. There were 15-20 people packed in the shop all at one point... maybe a sign at the door would help? This place can be a bit more sanitary and clean... the employees were not wearing gloves nor did they have their masks all the way up to cover their nose. I got the caramel brownie and my boyfriend got their pistachio and coconut almond joy. We also picked up a cookie sandwich as well and all together for the three was roughly $13 which was a great price! The caramel brownie had 3 or 4 small brownie bites in it. It could've used some more. Although they had a ton of flavors to choose from, the ice cream itself wasn't the best. We thought ice cream from the grocery store in the freezer section is better. What just happened is crazy. I called the Randolph location before heading there to pick up one of their "doggie" ice cream cakes to ask if they were readily available to which the person who answered the phone said that all locations carry them, i reconfirmed with them that we were talking about a dog cake and they repeated I could just go and pick one up whenever. So i drove there to get one. After waiting my turn in line, i got to the counter and asked about them and the girl said they don't have any and they are specialty order items. I mentioned that I had called in advance and was told they were in stock all the time and she just reiterated that they don't have any. She did say that the braintree or stoughton location would have them for sure. Tried calling Braintree over and over but apparently their phone is broken because it constantly said "user busy" as I was calling while driving there. I arrived in Braintree and asked for one of the doggies cakes that i was assured they would have and, I can't say that I was surprised, but they said they didn't have any. They told me to go to the Norwood location because the cake maker over there might be able to make one. There is a zero percent chance that i will be going to Norwood and a zero percent chance that I will be giving them any business in the future. Horrible communication and i just drove around for over an hour for a doggie ice cream cake which i ridiculous enough if I actually got one but seeing as how I didn't, it's gone beyond crazy. read more

Hands down, FAVORITE ice cream place of all time. Being in Randolph most of the time, this place is a MUST during the summer time. They have a vast selection of hard ice cream/soft serve, all that I have tried are super yummy. They even make ice cream cakes!! I was glad that they were open since the hours on the door said 9pm & it was about quarter after 9. The service is great & friendly too. So many things available it's hard to choose. I didn't understand how they could possibly have so many more soft serve flavors & then saw it's actually all flavored syrups that they have which doesn't really appeal to me. I went w/ regular ice cream since they were out of the vegan ice cream unfortunately, places always underestimate how many people actually eat vegan ice cream. Great ice cream! I have yet to try a flavor that I have not enjoyed, both soft serve and hard scooped. The hard scooped Red Velvet Cupcake is out of this world. The best by far. I have yet to nail down a favorite soft serve flavor, there's just too many! (recommendations: creme brulee, girl scout cookie, peanut butter and banana, strawberry cheesecake) They also make incredible ice cream cakes for special occasions and offer ice cream novelties like ice cream sandwiches and my favorite, frozen bananas dipped in peanut butter, then dipped in chocolate. The only drawback about Daddy's is the lack of frozen yogurt. There are lactose free options, but the frozen yogurt variety is lacking. (I fully understand that Daddy's is an ICE CREAM shop, but healthier options would be nice) The owner John is very helpful and friendly. And I never would have known about it if we hadn't been passing through Randolf on the way home from the Cape, when my boyfriend spotted the soft-serve sign and suggested we stop. I randomly picked Peppermint Patty (but I could have spent hours deciding until I went crazy), and my boyfriend got Peanut Butter. Both were delicious, and the "regular" size was very, very generous.
