I called and made an appointment because I was having some trouble with my ears. The office was easy to find and the receptionist greeted me right away. Very friendly and upbeat staff. Got me signed in and I was seen promptly. Dr. Coffey gave me an initial exam and then sent me to the in-house audiologist, where she tested my hearing and tympanic membranes (?) - which came back normal. Then I saw Dr. Coffey again and he gave me some recommendations for my concerns, explained the products he was recommending, showed me examples of how they worked and took into consideration my preference for using less medication rather than more when possible. Overall everyone at the office just had super nice attitudes and was pleasant to work with. I think this was their first day of being officially open so they had a few technological glitches, but nothing that impacted me in any meaningful way. I will definitely return if I have any more issues in the future with my ears, nose or throat! read more

This man is terrific. I can't say enough good about him, his staff, and his practice. He is attentive, truly listens. He's articulate and explains without condescension. I've had some issues with narrowing eustachian tubes and he has walked me step-by-step through the treatment options. He clearly loves what he does and cares about his patients. You know when somebody's found his calling. Dr. Coffey certainly has. I am so thrilled that he recently moved to Ojai. But you know what? He's worth the drive from anywhere in southern California. Today changed my life! With dread, I took my 78 year old father in to have a full hearing test & review of his Starkey hearing aids that were causing him problems. Not only was the drive from SB to Ojai beautiful but the ENT office was so welcoming; from the impressive fish tank to the kind, attentive, welcoming & friendly staff. The test went ultra smooth- using the latest technology with such a clear and calm explanation of the process on behalf of Dr. Navarro. Next, was the visit with Dr. Coffey who had both my dad & myself smiling in minutes. He's a pro with senior interaction skills like no other! He explained some tough subjects with clarity & detail. My 90 year old mother had been having problems with a sore throat for too long, and was referred by her GP to an ENT. We were SO PLEASED to find that Ojai now has one, and we would not have to go to Ventura! We were able to get in to see Dr. Coffey quickly, and he was very thorough, and very kind and compassionate. I chose Dr Coffey because of his top notch credentials and experience (Columbia, Yale, 30 yrs of his own CT private practice). He more than lives up to his reputation. He is thorough, knowledgable, clear in his explanations and judicious in his recommendations. He advised against a costly procedure recommended by another ENT that was not necessary.
