That's exactly what this office has been for me. When someone ran a stop sign and blindsided me, State Farm was incredibly helpful. I'll start by saying that I'm a happy State Farm client since 1984 or 85. Yes, a long time. All of my cars are insured by State Farm. We have property insurance with them too. I'm in the auto industry and my clients give me feedback on their insurance issues (of course when they need to make a claim). I know that we consumers can get easily lost in the process. We don't do this very often (at least I hope not), so making a claim can be stressful. So, I feel the best thing is to have a top notch agent to help you through the process. This is why I'm not a fan of places like Geico or Wawanesa. You don't have an agent. So, who is there to help you? At Tom Logan's office, we of course have Tom. I was transferred to him when Dennis Watson retired. Tom has been absolutely wonderful! His team is fantastic. I've spoken to Dawn and Bonnie on numerous occasions. They've been a tremendous help and they've given me their expert opinion and advice. We recently had some very bad luck. Four accidents that weren't our fault, including two vehicles called a total loss. Dawn was my contact on these and helped me with the filing process with the claims department. She held my hand through the entire process - that's what I call true customer service. I highly recommend giving them a call and using them as your insurance agent! read more

We live in Silicon Valley but my husband has had State Farm for everything for 3 generations (Grandma Bertylsmeyer worked there in St. Louis) and has been tied to Tom Logan's office in Camarillo when he lived there in high school and first got his license. I was skeptical when I moved my stuff over once we got married, but State Farm has offered the lowest rates for auto insurance (comparing apples to apples with liability insurance limits) and Tom Logan's office is outstanding! Service is great and efficient and they really provide value as an insurance broker. They even process payments over the phone! The customer service and personal attention are excellent. Bonnie in particular has been super helpful with explaining in a practical way about the limits of liability and deductible that is best for our home. She spent an hour with me as I was evaluating our renewal on our homeowner's insurance in light of seeing my close friends have their claims denied (one for cleanup post mortem and another for water damage). She's also super responsive with quotes, emailing the policy over and making sure the insurance plan is what makes the most sense for our family's needs. Tom (not Logan but the other one) was also super helpful for many years. Some tips I've learned from their office: 1) You don't need coverage for car rental if you have another vehicle you can use. 2) Same for medical claims if you have health insurance, which is now required. It could cover copays, which are usually small amounts so it's not worth it. 3) There's no open peril homeowner's insurance in CA - earthquake insurance is separate and very expensive. Homeowner's insurance only really kicks in when there's a fire, theft, tree falling, or sudden water damage. 4) Damage due to maintenance items related to water damage is not covered (eg toilet wax ring). It's advisable to get a plumber to check the house for maintenance items and leaks. 5) If you've been with State Farm for at least 9 years, they are more lenient with claims not being counted against you. One annoyance worth an honorable mention is being tied to the MIL's account so she gets called or notified when we have a claim. Last time someone rear ended me, she was called first. Also, the cat converter was stolen off husband's truck that has been a point of contention since it's acquisition. I had to tell State Farm several times to stop calling me and only contact my husband about it, but they continue to leave voicemails and send emails. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing. We had a water leak claim for a condo in SF and they did a good job with helping pay for and coordinate repairs. Auto repairs are also easy, although you have to go through the other party's insurance for a medical claim - they are kind of hands off with that. Also, I appreciate the insurance refunds during covid times because no one was driving around and filing claims - those savings were passed back to us, which is kind of unheard of. read more
