No matter when you show up to pick up your order, it will NOT be ready; and, whenever they finally prepare it, it is likely not to be what you ordered. I was working down at the school in Wicksburg and I didn't bring a lunch. I was thinking about…read moremaking a 10 minute drive on my lunch break for fast food. Instead, a teacher I worked with that day told me there was a deli with a cafeteria hot meal bar in the gas station at Hwy 84. I chose country cooking over fast food and it was a terrific choice. There is a menu with sandwiches but I went with the meat and 2 choice. Today, the choices were BBQ Chicken, pork chops, or chicken tenders. I went with the BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, and blackeye peas. All of it made for a solid, homestyle, country cooking lunch. My lunch also included a massive piece of fried cornbread, apple cobbler, and sweet tea. Quite a meal with some tasty fixings that cost $9...a little more than fast food, but soooo much better in every aspect. Next time I work at the school in Wicksburg, I will be contemplating ways on how to make it up to Robert's Cafe.
