The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The store has some unique and worthwhile items on the store shelves - including 12 packs of Tab (which preceded Diet Coke) and frozen Gino's East pizzas from Chicago! The only room for improvement I know of would be a self service check-out, new grocery carts to replace the ones that are bent up and perhaps a little more care and tending to the lawns in the summer - unless you love clover.

Some of our favorites are -- * Angus roast beef - for cold and hot roast beef sandwiches -- far better than packaged deli meat from the other sections of other stores * best fried chicken we have had in the state of Wisconsin * my spouse is diabetic, so we go to the lower carb/calorie end of the deli salads --and our favorites are broccoli bacon salad, cowboy caviar (corn, green peppers, red peppers and some black beans in a light vinaigrette, They have an excellent selection of groceries and a very nice produce and in store bakery. Of the stores in Menomonie, we think their beef is of the highest quality. We really like them-- I have been trying to get them to do a local food fair and a ad spread to support it . Wisconsin has wonderful artisan cheese makers and several are very near Menomonie -- Eau Galle Cheese-- but the store doesn't carry them. Area apples and produce are incredible -- So to get my fifth star -- Marketplace needs to host a local food fair--in the store -- and show off and stock our wonderful local food producers -- I don't have a dog in this fight --- just want the local producers and store to bond -- i.e.just trying to get up the date -- but I hope they eventually marry.

The hash browns were good. The egged were good. The gravy was good . The biscuits could have been good but they were overcooked, dark brown and crusty on the outside. The coffee is self served and they were out of decaf. The people were friendly and helpful otherwise they might have gotten one less star. This is our first time here but I'm impressed. It is a step below Byerlys bit several steps above all the other grocery shopping options.

Staff that ignores you or won't move out of the way to let you pass, too few cashiers, etc. One day this summer, I was overcharged for an item (it was priced incorrectly in their system, different than the in-store advertised price) so went to the Customer service desk to let them know and the woman there huffed like I was being a real inconvenience! I wasn't asking for a refund, just wanted to kindly let them know, but she seemed genuinely annoyed by me. My husband and I laugh about it and draw straws to see who has to go when we find ourselves needing something. We joke about wearing our GoPro camera just because of the odd and rude things that seem to happen every visit.

They are normally $5.99 a dozen but it was BOGO so you know I had to jump on that. Then they had organic eggs for $2.99 a dozen. Now I'm staying at a hotel with a kitchen and just bought 4 dozen of eggs. Guess I'll be making every kind of egg meal I can think of. I most certainly will return here because I love the selections and amount of products they offer aside from groceries. There's a large vitamin section with protein powders and shakes. Sadly, when I got to the check out part, there were two young guys who said hello which it was great, but right after that there was full silence and no smiling and the guy who did the transaction had a face like the ones that they give when they feel annoyed or when they don't like their job. This made me feel unwanted.. just truly unwanted. I'm Latino and probably this is not the issue but, I really felt uncomfortable at my check out. I will be giving it a try a couple more times to see if I still getting the same vibe or maybe I came by at the wrong time. Otherwise I liked the store. You all have a wonderful day.
