I had such a memorable experience at Muse Paintbar in Palm Beach Gardens doing their "Paint Your…read morePet" event. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately and felt welcomed. The staff was incredibly patient, helpful, and supportive throughout the entire night, which made the experience even more enjoyable. When we arrived, our canvases were already outlined with our pets, which made it feel so personal and special right away. This was a really meaningful night out for me and my friend. They provided smocks so our clothes stayed clean, and there was both an instructor and additional staff members walking around constantly assisting everyone. Even though the event lasts about three hours, the time went by quickly because everyone is focused and engaged. The instructors guide you step by step, and they even dim the lights at certain points so you can use the small light on your canvas to better see reflections and details while painting. That part was really unique and helpful. One small suggestion I would make is that instead of having to constantly use our phones as a reference photo, it would be helpful to have a printed picture of our pet at the table for easier viewing. It felt a bit repetitive unlocking my phone throughout the process. As for food we tried the sampler platter ($18.50) which included mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, and boneless wings. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing and not enjoyable for us--the pretzels were hard and tasted burnt, and overall the quality wasn't great for the price. However, I really enjoyed my cocktail, the yuzu pineapple spritz, which was refreshing and well made. Despite the food experience, I would absolutely return for another painting event. The actual paint experience was creative, meaningful, and so well guided by the staff. It truly made for a special night out. I would just recommend coming for the art and maybe skipping the food. This small eco museum is dedicated to educating the public about the Loxahatchee River which is home to many endangered and threatened animals like woodstorks and manatees. Along the banks of the river it is common to see alligators, turtles, river otters, deer, raccoon, turkey, bald eagles, owls, heron, ibis, egrets, gopher tortoise, osprey, storks, scrub jay and many other species. Some of the more common types of fish in the river include bass, panfish, mullet, snook, tarpon, redfish and jacks. The Loxahatchee River flows through a 260 square mile ecosystem that includes the communities of Jupiter, Tequesta, Juno Beach, Jupiter Island, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Jupiter Farms, Hobe Sound and Palm Beach Gardens. After gently flowing through freshwater creeks and down into a brackish estuary, the river enters the Jupiter Inlet before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. In 1985 the Loxahatchee River was federally designated a wild and scenic river, one of only two such designated rivers in Florida. if you are interested in exploring the river more closely, kayaks and canoes can be rented at Riverbend Park. This small free museum is set up in a circle. On the outside of the building is a timeline of Jupiter history starting with 6000-5000 BC when the Loxahatchee River watershed was formed. Inside you will see interpretative signs about Jupiter shark explorations, where the drinking water comes from and goes, and how to balance water use. While the museum is geared toward children I enjoyed all of the aquariums containing the fish and turtles you would find in the river along with some saltwater tanks. They also have a touch tank that you can explore with a staff member. In addition to the museum the Loxahatchee River Center offers various classes and programs throughout the year. A full list of events can be found on their website. If you have a few minutes to spare in Jupiter it is well worth stopping here to learn about the river that is so important to the ecosystem health of this area.

My daughter was with this school for a little over a year. While it wasn't our first choice, it was…read moreone of the only schools that didn't have a long waitlist.She started in Miss Christine's class which we loved. She loved her teachers and her classmates. We always got photos and updates at the end of the day, and were very happy with how things were going. When she transitioned to the next class, things went downhill. Off the bat we didn't have the same good feeling about the teachers compared to her last class. It was an overall colder vibe, not as caring. My daughter has ALOT of emotions (terrible two era) so I understand this can take a toll on the teachers. But I didn't appreciate how every day when I picked my daughter up, she seemed like she had been crying for long durations. One day, she came home with marks on her hand. I know one of the teachers has long nails but didn't say anything because it could have come from a child. However, none of the teachers commented on the marks which to me was a red flag (usually we would get an incident report or at least the teacher would tell us what happened). Another time, after picking my daughter up, she kept repeating in the car "stop crying, stop crying." When I asked her who said that, she said teacher. I showed her photos of her teachers and there was clearly one aid who she seemed scared of. After this, I immediately pulled her out (also after seeing a similar review from a student in the same class). When the head of the school met with me after I pulled my daughter, she seemed very protective of her staff and I almost felt like she was trying to tell me I was wrong for pulling my daughter out. However, I am SO thankful I did. We transitioned her to Bluffs School and things have improved significantly. The teachers are all warm and have great energy, I love the director, and the tuition is only slightly more than The Learning Experience! Overall, we're happy we made the move. I also was to mention that you should read the positive reviews on Yelp. At least one is from an individual who thought they were posting a review for a toy store. Mistakes happen, but what I think is gross is The Learning Experience commented on that review thanking them for the positive review (see photo- in case they try to get this deleted).
