Was looking for a new place to get a car wash, this one caught my attention cause they offered free mat cleaners. Went to the website and they gave me a free month of whatever wash for a trial. I got the works of course which is normally 39.99 a month. Most times I visited, they didnt have an attendant when you pull in which was a little different than what I'm used to, but they had a little screen to tell you when to pull in and when to put your car in neutral. One thing I thought was super helpful was when you pull in, the screen also tells you what car wash you purchased, so I knew exactly what I was getting. A few times during the month, it gave me the wrong wash but since I had unlimited, I just drove through again. After the wash, pull around to the vacuums and they also had the self serve mat cleaners. This was my first time using them, you can have them clean with or without water. You press a button, stick the mat in and it comes out the bottom. Only once did I have a mat get stuck, otherwise, great experience. Only complaint about the car wash, which is the same for every one I've tried is that it never completely dries the car off. had a membership for about two years until my last wash there. usually no real issues but the last wash I'll ever do there cracked my windshield and scratched the S**t outta my hood. read more

I'm digging this new gas station and car wash. I call it new, but maybe it's just new to me. LOL I had ordered food at RCK Soul Food, up the road, and since they didn't have a restroom, I had to backtrack to the gas station. I needed gas, so it was a winwin situation. Can we just focus on the restroom though? I looked like a hotel restroom in dtwn Mpls. Sliding door to enter the restroom area; men and women directly across from one another - similar to the bathroom setup at Chino Latino's; big mirrors, fancy lighting and sink... this is hotel. LOL They actually had really good snacks and Krunch Chxn (you know located on Broadway and Fremont?) The Car wash is adjacent to the gas station and looks fabulous. I hate car washes in general. The vacuums are always broken, I have to go out of my way to find quarters, and the line is long whenever the weather is nice. Tommy's was an exception on every account! For $10, I got a beautiful wash with no wait, the vacuums were free, functional, AND they have at least a dozen vacuums to use. I also really like how the layout of the place is designed. The open and roomy setup allowed me to feel safe to focus on vacuuming under the seats. The cashier was incredibly friendly and told me I could even come for the vacuum when they are not open! My only reservation is that the vacuum was not the strongest one that I've ever used. It did the job 90% but I spilled some powdered laundry detergent in my car that is still slightly visible. I tried Tommy's out for the first time today. I usually go to Mister Car Wash and they closed early for a holiday party. Overall I was not impressed. NO staff hand touched up my car after the wash like at MCW. The hatchback door was untouched by their automatic washing machine. The car was dirty from salted roads this time of year. The car looks unwashed due to the way that their mechanism left ehe rear of the car untouched. I will stick with MCW as the car is cleaned thoroughly AND attendants hand dry areas that need a human touch. Edited as a result of the response I got... I will reconsider. The car is a compact SUV. Mazda CX-5 so still not sure the system will get the back bumper but it's worth another chance. I do like the touch less wash which is easier on the paint job. read more

They've got a great car wash. It's not touchless, but it seems to me that translates to a better clean. There's even a separate entry lane for subscribers that automatically lets you through, so that's cool. I just wish they had a few more convenient locations. read more

We just went to Tommy's in Fargo ND- as we're on a road trip from Colorado and had 1400 mi. Of bug guts and dirt road on the car. It is truly amazing how clean our car is!!!!! (And we didn't even pop for the most expensive wash). I will be looking for Tommy's when I get home. read more

I purchased the works unlimited wash yesterday, and this wash did not get my car clean (2016 Ford Escape). I usually go to MCW. And my car is always cleaning coming out. I did cancel my subscription this morning after looking at my car again. Disappointed. read more

Had the monthly subscription for several months, until the day their machines scratched the heck out of my car, and now they are trying to say the scratches don't match others and aren't consistent...BS I say!! They have wasted several hours of my time trying to deal with this - not to mention when it happened, I got home and immediately noticed the damage - when back within the hour and talked to 2 guys who were nice and took pictures and documented everything but said a mgr. wouldn't been in for a few days - well, of course nobody called me, I had to go back and track down the manager Cody, who is the one trying to get out of covering the damage on my car! Do NOT go to this place if you care about your car. I use mine for business - and this is ridiculous! Have photos but doesn't look like yelp lets you add that. :-( read more

I used your service in Crystal, MN on 7/27. For $18 plus tax, I could not believe there was no personal attention given to my vehicle. Perhaps I didn't understand what I was getting for my money, but I had been on the road and my car needed a thorough cleaning. After the wash I took a look at my car -- and the remaining dirt and bird droppings -- I immediately went around the corner to the Octopus Carwash and AGAIN paid $18 + tax where they washed, waxed my car, cleaned and vacummed the entire interior and spent at least 15-20 minutes getting my vehicle spic and span. I went through your carwash in about 2 minutes and it was nothing like the Octopus experience. I was very disappointed and felt like I threw my money down your carwash drain. Ref: I paid for monthly car-wash services but keep getting denied! Greetings Manager: I am a resident of New Hope and have found Tommy's Express Car Wash more convenient because of its proximity. It's the only place I wash my car since its opening last year. I later switched from pay-and-wash on demand to the monthly wash which helps me cut down cost. However, I am fed up with the way I have been treated by staff/employees working in the car-wash booth lately. Despite being a "member" (meaning, paid per month for wash), I have been denied service several times and had to leave and go to church or a meeting without my car being washed. Just moments ago, (Today, Jan. 18/20), I was again denied having my car washed-this is after I have driven under the current inclement and got there: one of the staff who had seen me there arguing in recent week about my membership had to talk to the man at the desk and that's how I was allowed to wash today. But why denied me when after all, you have records to show that I have paid for January, just as I did, Dec., Nov., Oct., or Sept.? It is very unfortunate that I would have to encounter delay and have to argue with a group of high school grads working at this site before receiving a simple service that I have already paid for, and entitled to. After all, what will be my compensation for those services denied me and also my time, driving there and leaving without receiving the service that I had already paid for? I'm therefore demanding an immediate answer from Tommy's Express; depending on its response, I may decide whether or not to pursue this matter with agencies such as BBB, and other Consumers agency groups responsible for investigating this type of bad business practices. I got the free one month unlimited pass as part of their grand opening special. It was a little farther away than I thought, so I only got there a few times. Regardless, staff were friendly and helpful, and the wash did a pretty good job for being a little shorter tunnel than I was expecting. I do like the drying brushes at the end to help get those last water spots off. Also nice is the free vacuums. I don't pay for any monthly pass to any wash, but if they opened one closer to my house, I might consider it. read more

Went for the first time on Sunday 10/6. They did not accept Amex and have no sign saying so. The cashier didn't say anything either. She just tried to run it and then told me "this doesn't work". How about telling my you don't accept Amex? Car was was quick and easy. Parked to vacuum and clean floor mats. The floor mat cleaner is great! That is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. Then vacuumed my car, I like the choice of 2 nozzle shapes. The only problem, the hoses are kind of short to get to the tailgate. I did pull up as far as I could. Then I looked at my tailgate and the car wash totally missed the middle of my mid-size black SUV. I went to ask an attendant to borrow a rag to wipe it down. They said they didn't have any (but I could see 2 sitting on spray bottles) and they could sell me a kit for $5. So you're telling me, I have to buy a kit to fix what your carwash missed and what I paid $19 for? He said I could go through the wash again, so I did. Same results. That car wash sucks. There is no way any car is getting the back cleaned. Such a bummer. I was excited to try this place out. read more
