Appearances are deceptive and it is absolutely true in the case of Appearance Plus car wash. It is a car wash where you pay money and never even get to enter the car wash because the entrance door does not open. You look around to see if there is an employee working and there is nobody around. You try to cancel the car wash on the automated machine and it's too late. The transaction is comepleted and you go home without a car wash. Oh, there is a contact number when you search for the business online, but don't get too happy about it, nobody answers the phone. Like any avid Yelper, you look up the business on Yelp and voila there is a different contact number listed on Yelp for the business. Again, you can try to reach a live person but you end up leaving a voice message which never gets a response. Yelp does offer some solace by letting you send a message to the business. The first time the business owner, replies within a few hours with an apology and "free car wash codes" which will be promised for 2 washes, 1 for what you paid and the other as compensation for the inconvenience. You feel happy about the response and drive to the car wash and finally end up getting your precious car washed. A week later, you realize that there is a need for another wash and why wouldn't you when you have a free car wash code. You drive to the car wash, enter the code and realize that the code gets declined. You will think "what the hell? But I'm already at the car wash, I might as well pay for it. There is no free meal". Dumbest thing ever. You pay for a car wash and start driving further towards the entrance door and as fate would have it, the door does not open up. Now this time, you know the routine. So you don't look around for an employee that works at the car wash, neither do you try to call the google search number for the business. Yelp to the rescue. You send a message explaining the situation to the business owner and ask him for a refund. This time you are not going to be very lucky in getting a response right away. You will finally get a message from the business a week later apologizing again and promising to send new free wash codes in a few days. You wait for a few days. Then you wait for a week. You send 4 messages. No response from the business. You call the number listed on Yelp, no response from the business. You send another message asking for a refund and making it clear that you don't need a free code for a wash that will never happen. No response. Do you give up hope? Do you contact the business again? Do you forget about the $10 that you paid for the car wash? To be continued.... read more

This car wash is terrible. I bought the$9.75 car wash and when it was done the car was still filthy. The dryer was useless. I tried to find someone who worked there for a refund but no one around! Never use again.... read more

Easy to use web site and nice pleasant place to wash your vehicle, friendly staff on site to help with customers needs, I go there all the time to wash my company vans and cars as well as my own truck, sometimes use the touch-less but mostly the hand wands to get a clean vehicle. read more

I used to come here periodically to wash my car at the self service stalls. It's usually not too crowded and I like washing my car myself for around $4. I've also met some interesting people here and enjoyed the random conversations. They usually start like this: "Excuse me, sir, do you happen to have like 20 extra quarters? The change machine is empty." How nice, and that's just the first exciting challenge you encounter on a trip to Appearance Plus car wash. Don't bother asking the shop next door, they told me they didn't make change for car wash customers anymore. Apparently I wasn't the first. If I ever saw the owner of Appearance Plus I would advise him that he need only go to the bank, get some of his own money in quarters, put the quarters in the change machine, and people will come pay him money to get his money, then give that money right back to him! I wonder if he thought of that. If I had such a device, I'd be sure to keep it brimming with quarters but honestly I'm no businessman so maybe he knows something I don't. Once you've acquired a stack of quarters your next challenge is to pick a stall. Choose wisely, since only 3 of the available 4 stalls have soap brushes, and of the remaining 3, precisely 0 have soap coming from them. That must have something to do with the missing 4th brush and it's sad, flaccid tube dangling from the ceiling, forever missing its brush, the stagnant puddle of it's discharged soap tanks pooled on the floor below. This image put me into a deep contemplative and serious mood. After a moment I began blasting my car with high-pressure water. What bliss! This is why I come here instead of washing my car at home. My gleeful mood was cut short when I reached for the brush and found it to be in a sad state of affairs. The connector between the brush head and long handle was made of floppy, flexible rubber. As I mashed the back of the limp brush onto my wet car and flopped around the heavy brush head ineffectually, the head bent and twisted as it smeared dried soap residue and dirt across my hood. I attempted to feel anger, but was only able to stand staring at the miserable device wondering how we could tolerate such a tragedy in our civilized society. A tear rolled down my cheek. It is possible that was actually water leaking from above, since those pipes look rickety enough to fall apart at any second. I will return when the management has brought its operation to at least the bare minimum standard of service. Change, a soap brush, pressurized water. It can't be that hard. Owner, I challenge you to stand in that stall, staring at your dangling tube, and ask yourself if this is how you had imagined your business, Appearance Plus, was supposed to appear to the world. read more
