It's 8:10 and thy are letting people in and then turning them away. There's about 6 cars all stuck because the catching closed for repair but they just let people drive in and get stuck in the line behind the gates. The man working said it was due to them wanting to do some maintenance. Is this necessary!? I hope this was something that had to be done. Really bad timing of not. Extremely inconvenient. You replied to my review and that's great, maintenance is good, but if not necessary during business hours, do it before or after operating hours. Sounds like from your response it was not necessary and should have done it at another time and not inconvenience the customers. After being away for over 4 months, I breathed a sigh of relief when my car started up. Next. I needed to get it clean so I headed to Tommy's. I always get a quick clean dependable wash at Tommy's. I just went to Tommy's Express Car Wash on south Tami . The young lady at the cash/check in ( sorry, I didn't see your name), was very nice to me and helpful, answered all my questions. Another young lady helped me position my car to go thro the wash, which I appreciated. I'm so glad not to have to deal with tracks or other guides that I used to worry about hurting my tires. Tommys has a conveyor type of thing where you don't have to worry about those things. My car was dirty from pollen, and just dirt and I choose the cheapest wash #4 and it got my car clean, even the windows, and the side mirrors. I'm happy with it. I think next I will try the Works as it could using a good waxing. I'm glad that I found a person on the premises that was willing to be on the job ( not with her head in her phone ) and the car wash worked properly. read more

I drove a GV80 through this car wash. When I got home, I walked around the vehicle and it looked like the back of the vehicle hadn't been touched by the brushes. I had to hand wash the back myself. Given the price for this service, you'd think it would do a better job. read more

First of all this is expensive for what you actually get. But my real issue is that the upsell is very sneaky. I specifically told the cashier that I don't live locally and wanted a one-time service. Absolutely Disgusted by this establishment! Beware! (6/7/22) I had my rear bumper completely ripped off by this car wash. Even with all the video evidence they continue to blame the suns reflection saying it's prior damage as seen in the last photo. I spoke with Bryan Edwards "Manager" he told me a regional manager would contact me but after emailing corporate I found out there's no such thing as a regional manager and they re independently owned and operated. He wouldn't even discuss the so called regional managers name or number! Thank god I took video recordings of their cameras capturing this incident or I could have been seriously taken advantage off! Be careful when signing up for what you think is a one month unlimited monthly washes--they will automatically enroll you if you don't cancel. Scammed me for months before I realized they were charging me $46 a month for a subscription I did not sign up for. Would only refund me for 3 months. Trickery! read more

I've been using Tommy's express car wash for almost a year and a half. Everything's been fine. However, today I just took my car through and could taste fragrance on my tongue. I left and went furniture shopping, and when I came out of the store, I could smell my car from 15 feet away in the parking lot. The fragrance is blowing through my air conditioning system now as I type this. I went back and asked them if they changed the formula and they did. The staff was polite and the manager was very kind and professional, but it did not change the fact that his hands were tied. He has no say on what kind of products they use. I canceled my subscription and I am essentially paying for three weeks of car washes that I will never use. If you have any allergy to fragrance, do not go here. I'm going to have to get my air conditioning system cleaned out; it's really that bad. read more

I have a monthly membership here and went through the wash and found scratches on the outside of my driver door afterwards. The manager kept insisting it wasn't from the wash because it was not consistent on the rest of my car. My car is brand new and I know it was not there prior to the wash. Then i went to their other location and the employee let the lady through the wash while her car was not in neutral so while I was behind her in the wash she reversed into my car. Then the worker had the audacity to say we treat this as a "roadway". It was the employees responsibility to make sure the vehicle is properly on the belt and not in reverse! On a side note, that was the only time an employee directed people into the wash. Half of the time the employees aren't even paying attention to how people go onto the belt. read more

I entered Tommy's car wash on Tuesday, March 8th , 2022 with an intact Mercedes & came out the other side missing my emblem & a cracked grill where the brushes snatched it out. I spoke to the GM, Brian Edwards & told he that this must of been loose or pre-existing. The footage even showed the emblem & my grill were fine, until I exited the car wash. Beware of Tommy's car wash in Sarasota. I give them a D- at best. The first time I used Tommy's in Sarasota my car looked beautiful, so I purchased the membership. Then after multiple uses I began to see scratches upon scratches on my car. I went to another Tommy's cuz I was driving by and that manager said those scratches look consistent with our wash. Told me to go back to Sarasota Tommy's to file a claim. The employees were so rude and aggressive at Tommy's in Sarasota that I was shocked by their behavior. I showed my car to 3 so called managers at Sarasota location and it was an extremely painful process of their rudeness and excuses. I now take my car to a similar car wash setup on Clark Rd. I paid for my wash via cashier, and none of the teenage employees inside were wearing masks, even when the cashier came to the window to take my card, not even a "hold on just a moment while I put on my mask" (I was wearing one). Know before you go if you're immunocompromised, elderly, or you (like me) live with vulnerable elderly loved ones. We're in the middle of a dangerous pandemic; there is no excuse for public-facing employees to be disregarding public health guidelines. This puts the employees and customers at risk. Edited to add: I checked out their website, where they have a page dedicated to their response to COVID-19, which has not a single mention of wearing masks or other preventative steps endorsed by medical professionals and instead only pushes their interior car detailing service as a "safety measure," even though the virus is spread through the air by face-to-face, person-to-person contact and not surface contact with your own personal vehicle. They offer the works car was which was $14.99 then you buy a monthly unlimited wash package.. we use that much due to raining every day so we canceled it. I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to write this after Tommy's behavior recently with regards to the North Port High School Baseball promotion. As one of the sponsored businesses supporting the team Tommy's pledged that cardholders would receive 1 "Works" car wash a week for the one year period of the cards life. The card is valid through 2/28/23. I went recently for a wash and was denied. The excuse from the manager was supposedly people were violating the once a week rule. Tommy's had no system in place to verify card usage and has now decided to stop honoring a deal that they committed to, knowing full well there wasn't a verification/counting system in place when pledging their support to the team. I will not support a business that can't keep their commitments to a local community charity like Tommy's has done here. read more

Just took my car to get a wash to try the wash out, as I had a free car wash coupon with the works, 35 dollar value, it took about 3 minutes and the wheels are not even clean, I think I could have just hosed it off in my driveway and got the same result, I'd say the wash is worth about 3 bucks, 35 dollars what a joke, ill just wash the car myself or take it to a real car wash (johnnys) I have another free ticket for "the works" I just threw it in the garbage, also from the other reviews I've read I guess I better check my car for damage too, many of them complained of damage to their cars and were basically told to buzz off, im pretty sure they will be gone soon read more

The one in Stevens Point bent a piece of window trim on my '21 Ram...out at a 90 degree angle from the window. They refused to do anything about it, claiming their video showed it was damaged before went through the wash. I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed a piece of chrome sticking 8" straight out to the side. Now I get to pay $250 to have it replaced. My truck tailgate was still so dirty after the wash that I could write my name on it. Avoid. read more
