Accidentally went here thinking it was Tommy's but realized too late. For 4 extra dollars, they really provide value added- in addition to vacuuming your car, they thoroughly wipe down your car and clean both interior and exterior instead of doing it yourself. I have been coming here for years, but lately I noticed a decline in the quality in how my vehicle was completed. First of all, the dry the vehicles out in the Florida sun. Now, this is November, and it's hot and in the 80's. As such, the drying process needs to be quick, thorough, and complete before turning the vehicle over to the owner. I had question one of the employees working on my vehicle about the water spots on the right side of my windshield. No big deal, could have been an oversight. He went to get the manager. My guess the employees are required to or English was likely their second language. The woman walked over, and before I could finish saying that it's just water spots on the windshield. She cut me off, and started justifying the spots as being the result of my irrigation system spraying and causing hard water spots and they don't come out. Well, not great customer service. She was curt, sounded annoyed, and wanted to simply dismiss me without any help. I got annoyed, let her know that I've always found her disengaged and hard to deal with. Her customers are not her concern or focus....its production. She should not be interacting with customers, very unqualified to communicate with people. I did go home and did research and found a way to get the water spots out. Though if it were from a sprinkler system, the spots would be all over the hood, door, etc. This was only in the very corner of the windshield above where the wiper runs. The staff here is great, friendly and work hard. This woman is just a hard ass with no class. Also, I don't park near my irrigation system. You know why? I live in one of the condo buildings downtown and park in a garage. Dismissive woman. So, if she sees this, which I doubt, she should have known there are products that remove hard water stains. Chemical Guys at Advance Auto Parts is great because it works on glass, paintwork and polished metal (just my experience, not a product promotion) or just plain auto wax. Anyway, I found another two car washes with better reviews than Johnny's. Johnny's is an assembly line, bad location, and over-worked employees. Oh, and I paid to get my front and back floor mats done, but only the front were washed. read more

I paid for the works. When they called me to the car my wife and I looked at the inside Console was still dirty by gear shifter and cup holders were filthy. So the guy s out front cleaned that up. Then we looked and between the seats by console had not been swept. So this guy comes out and he's take back through. Well I have a Traverse and after I got home, I checked further and realized they never swept the back part of vehicle by the hatch Dr. The rubber mats has dirt on them still. Then floor mats were dirty and dirty under Matt's. I pd 33.16 for a full everything. They need to fire the people sweeping cars out . Because this vehicle went sweeping and Matt cleaning twice. I would like to thank David, the Asst Manager for taking the time to buff out my rims that I thought were ruined due to the incompetency of Eager Beaver Car Wash. I told those clowns no dressing on tires or rims. They put a dressing on and completely bled some brown substance all over my tires and rims. I have been a customer of Johnny's for about 5 years. All my experiences were good until yesterday. When I went to my local grocery, I reached in the cupholder for a quarter for the shopping cart. To my surprise all the silver coins were gone, only pennies left behind. I know there were at least $2.00 in silver when I exited the car for the wash. Someone helped themselves with my change. I brought my car to Johnny's because I am selling it in a couple of days and wanted it to look good for the sale. There was some oxidation on the hood and top so I asked them to see if they could buff it out. They brought the detailer to see the car and he said he could remove 60-70% for $130.00. Two hours later when I returned the hood and top the car looked worse. The detailer told me it was impossible to improve the oxidized areas (which was the job). When I asked what happened to his 60-70% estimate he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. It cost me $130.00 for a crappy job. . When I arrived home in Sarasota My neighbor looked at it and said Johnny's did a lousy job on his truck and he would never go there again. Then he tried Meguire's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax and it made a huge improvement. At least 80-85% better. A new bottle only cost me $25.00 from Amazon. I guess Johnny's has inexperienced detailers. Very sad and no commitment to customer service. They were not at all concerned that I wasn't satisfied. I will never be returning to Johnny's and will definitely not recommend them. read more

Wow! This is quite an operation! Many choices of service here. We got the full service wash for $15.99. Leave your vehicle in line with the key, go in and pay, and they do the rest. Car goes through auto wash with a soft brush and is hand dried, vacuumed,, side windows cleaned and dash and console dusted. They eve dry around all the open doors and the wheels! Amazing! We don't have these in Indiana folks! Our car was the dirtiest one around because these Floridians are serious about keeping their cars clean! I counted 10 workers with cloths on a Thurs afternoon. The whole process took 20 minutes and we were on our way! I am moving my car and the transportation people were very detail orient and specific on how the interior needed to be cleaned. I called many places in town some people were already booked and a few people had recommended Johnny's. I called told him the specific requirements that I had to follow and they said they could do it. When I arrived from my appointment I explained to the person again what exactly was required for my car to be shipped not by me but by the company shipping it. The man said no problem we got it. I even pointed certain things out. And mind you my car was mostly sand and some dog hair. I first I was told it would take 4 hours. Then I was told only about two since it wasn't that bad. In less than 90 minutes I'll received a phone call that my car was done. I said. Are you sure about that? How did you do it so quickly with the amount of interior detail that I explained how to be done and the woman got to huge attitude with me and I said okay I'm just double checking. I'll be there in a little bit. I got there. They wanted me to pay for the car. I said no. I went to see the car first. I'm very specific interior detail that I need. I go to look at the car and on there 159 special it says they shampoo the carpets. Well they definitely didn't do that. Then they said if I wanted the trunk done I had to ask specifically. Well if you look on there website at the 159 special trunk is listed on there and I told them numerous times but apparently that's still not enough. I'll spoke with a woman named Mary Ann and she was very short tempered with me. She said ma'am you've obviously been to the beach. You're never going to get all the sand out. The car looks fine. Then she went. As far as the saying when they wash the car the sand will kick up into the wheel well in the back of the truck. Plus there was bird poop on my hood. They wouldn't give me my car keys until I paid my bill so I was forced to pay 159 for the worst detail I've ever seen. So I leave in tears and my friend takes me to eager Beaver on Beneva. As soon as I have told him where I took the car they rolled their eyes, offered me a huge discount because they could see the tears mine, and a couple hours later they gave me a car that looked like it was fresh out of the factory perfectly detailed. It was amazing. I hug the man gave him a tip and thank him. The way my car is right now is the way that Johnny's should have handed it to me. Shame on them for doing mediocre work. They shouldn't advertise that they do interior detail if they aren't going to even fulfill what is offered on their web page and only do a half ass job. When I finally did go nobody wants me to my car. Nobody looked at it again. I went to the back of the place and got my car and left bird poop and all. I don't ever want anyone to have the same experience I had. My car is being shipped overseas through the department of defense and they have meticulous requirements for sending cars overseas. Just because Marianne at Johnny's car wash. Thought that it was good enough. Doesn't mean the military agrees with her. If they weren't capable of following their own website and doing a good job they should have just said so and I wouldn't have wasted my time or money I would have gone somewhere else. Johnny's car wash is a ideal location, it is incredibly well staffed and very busy. They do a great job. I scheduled a hand wax for 1130 on a Saturday. They said it would take about an hour and a half. I walked around the mall and got some exercise did a little shopping and returned it in an hour and 15 minutes. Apparently my car had not been Waxed yet. They were literally working on eight other cars. As I said, it's a very busy shop and I think my car got lost in the shuffle. I called and spoke to the manager because I don't like to stand in front of people and complain, but I did ask if it was gonna be another hour and a half. she responded quickly went and investigated and called me back within five minutes. My car was done in 30 minutes and she deeply apologized, and every inch of the car look perfectly beautiful. I definitely recommend this business, but would probably schedule a hand wax on a weekday. read more

NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE!! I don't recommend it anymore. Johnny's Car Wash used to be my favorite car wash in Sarasota, FL -- not anymore. I used to recommend this car wash to everyone. I went there today and when I got home, I realized that they did something to my car, so that the automatic liftgate would not work with my smart key or the interior button. It worked fine before I went there, as I went to the grocery store and loaded a case of water in the back of my Toyota Venza. I am unable to get to the water now. I'll have to take the car to the dealer so they can fix it - $$$. In addition, I came home with no radio antenna. $$ The items I kept on the floor of the back seat were thrown on the back seat of the car. Very disappointing -- guess I won't be back again. I also noticed that most of the employees are younger and don't speak English very well or at all, and you cannot understand them when they call for you to come to your car when it's finished. I used to drive my Honda out of there feeling like a boss cuz it was so fresh and so clean, that was 10 yrs ago. I haven't switched car wash yet but feeling like it's time. I leave there feeling very disappointed in my new Cadillac, basically they miss about 5 areas completely. The paint on my car was dull and I wanted to have it restored, so I went to Jonny's on 11/16/23 to make and appointment. A manager waked to my car with me to see the condition and gave me an estimate of $300 to $320, for the two-step was process that starts at $199. I said OK. My appointment was set for 10am the next day. When I brought my car in the guys looked at it an gave me a ticket with the price. I made my way to the lobby and sat down. When the register line was clear, I went to the counter to pay. The guy who had come to the car with me the day before, was at the counter. He took my ticket and said he didn't think my car could be done. I said I made an appointment. I got a look at the ticket and the price on it was $220. He kept saying my car may not be able to be done. I said "you looked at it yesterday and gave me a price of $300+. I made the appointment saying that I wanted it done." He told me to go outside and stand with my car so a detailer could look at it. My car was already in the wash, so I wasn't able to find it. I went back inside to talk to the manager who then came outside with me. After waiting a while, the manager came back with a new ticket of $300 and that it would be ready in a few hours. I said I would be waiting inside. At 12:20 my car was done. If the price was wrong, all the manager had to do was let me know that they made an error on the price and get me an accurate ticket. This could have been avoided if my reservation was noted so that the detailers outside would be able to charge what the manager had discussed. When all was done, one of the workers came out with me and said the car looked nice. It seemed he expected a tip. You would think that for that service fee the employees working on the car would get a good wage, leaving plenty of profit for the company. My experience was bazaar. read more

Took my Ford Escape there for a good cleaning before going to the dealership to trade it in on a new vehicle and paid for the The Works, the highest level they have. As they open the door and kind of usher you in when it's finished, I didn't have a chance to inspect it before giving them a tip and driving away. Got home and realized they did an AWFUL job. Barely vacuumed the interior passenger area so the mats were still dirty, didn't touch the cargo compartment at all (vacuum or wipe down), nothing was wiped down on the interior or the door jambs, forgot to put the antenna back on, no tire shine (supposed to be part of "The Works"). Basically they just drove it through the wash, wiped the outside dry and called it done. It's obvious the people doing the cleaning don't care about doing a good job, they just want to move on to the next one as quick as possible so they can maximize their tips. read more

BUT if I you want a really great job $45.00 and it will look amazing inside and out. Get my car and the photos is what I get. He out the gate says to me, THATS NOT HAPPENING YOU WONT BE GETTING A REFUND!! Hasn't even seen my car yet?? I ask to speak to his boss and he tells me he's the ONLY boss. He calls the owner and she refuses my refund without so much as speaking to me or viewing my photos of the crappy ass job her guys did. UNACCEPTABLE!! This is my first review and very sad it's a bad one. I went on google and read how great they are and very excited to give them a try. The guys are all great and very nice but the manager not so much, like she's forcing herself to be kind. I'm in customer service and have been for years so I know the ways a client should be treated and she was just very unkind and phony. I got the $40 wash (huge waste) so I had expectations reading the reviews but not too high because that's never good. There was a couple easy fixes like smudges, poor vacuuming, and dirty rims that needed to be gone over again because the job seemed rushed and when I communicated it, they were very understanding but when I got it back the most important (rims & vaccum) weren't fixed and I communicated that with the manager and basically her choice of words were "you didn't say that to him" like if she were there when I talked to him and saying I'm lying, talking down on me because I do look very much younger than my age. I told her I did and once more told me I didn't communicate that with him, still calling me a liar. So I got very frustrated and walked away from her and she just had this big ole grin on her face like it was funny to her. At the end my car still looked the same after I brought it back to get it fixed. It's just very sad that I'm thinking I should've just done it myself and a huge waste of time and money... Absolutely the best!!! Doug (the manager) was so helpful. I wasn't happy with my service and without question, he fixed the problem exceeding above expectation!! I had my van's interior and exterior cleaned and shined inside. I have 3 very messy kids so my van was a wreck. I've had it detailed her in the past but that isn't in the budget right now. Their detailing is pristine I drove my van away as if I bought out from the lot all over again. They have many people working in the vehicles so it doesn't even take all that long!!
