My date and I shared the cheese breadsticks and an individual size Greek pizza. The Greek pizza was absolutely delicious and the toppings were very fresh. I asked for a side of ranch to dip my crust in and was pleasantly surprised when I realized that it was homemade. Took my wife's nieces here since they live in Ponchatoula and love this place. Usually I can not stand Buffalo sauce but, the sauce for this Buffalo Breadsticks dish is awesome. The Breadsticks have cheese and chicken, the sauce is a bit thicker sauce and tastes like it has Horseradish in it. Not too overpowering but, is a bit spicy in a good way. The Mexican pizza is ground beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, black olives and jalapeños topped with salsa and comes with a side of sour cream. This was sooo good. Nice little pizza place. It's an older building a little tight for space dimly light dining area and the host was welcoming. Bathroom very very small and only one stall was working today! We ordered two types of breadsticks, a muffaleta sandwich and a few pizzas. The breadsticks are a meal in themselves. Basically pizza dough with toppings but cut into sticks instead of wedges. And with dipping sauce! Fantastic. Got the muffaleta because my travel partner had never had one. Everyone that wanted a piece got one. It's huge! They offer traditional or 'sweet' sauce on the pizzas and all the kids wanted the sweet variety. I was not a fan but perhaps it takes a while to get used to. My husband and I have been here twice and we're not a huge fan of their pizza. They have their own "sweet" sauce that I am not a fan of. I enjoy traditional tasting pizza flavors. They do have a regular sauce, but to be honest I wasn't a huge fan of that either. For the price, I wouldn't recommend unless you're looking for a completely different pizza experience. Stopped by for lunch. Wasn't too busy. Parked by the front door. If they don't put the stopper at the front door, it slams really loud. We were seated quickly. We had spinach artichoke breadsticks, spaghetti with meat sauce and Luna Rosa pizza. Breadsticks was served with spicy ranch and that paired very well. Glad we tried it. We decided to share the mountain of spaghetti then nibble on the Luna Rosa pizza after. Spaghetti was on the sweet side, which is what I prefer. Meatballs were not offered and I think I would like spaghetti with meatballs more. Just a preference thing. Sauce was hearty. Pizza was floppy but flavor was good. Next time we will ask if they can cut the pizza like the cheese sticks. Not sure how I felt about the pizza crust. Didn't quite leave a lasting impression. Server was very attentive. Be prepared to stay awhile. My husband and I recently visited on a Friday afternoon. We like to seek out a local small restaurant whenever we visit a town. Upon arrival, there were 6-8 couples or families already there. We had to wait several minutes while the hostess/server hurried past us three or four times to bring forgotten silverware and drinks to other patrons. We finally got seated at a very tiny table, even though there were other, larger ones around and they weren't busy. It took her several more minutes to come take our order of two small pizzas. We noticed others having to remind the server about a high chair, "to go" boxes, drinks and silverware. We ended up having to flag her down a few times, ourselves to bring refills, plates, napkins and silverware. I had taken a photo right after we placed our order and after a long wait, I took note of the time that photo was taken. Our meal finally arrived a full HOUR after the order was placed and about an hour and twenty minutes after our arrival. We had somewhere to go afterwards and we're concerned we couldn't make it to our next destination in time. As far as the quality of the meal, the iced tea was some of the worst I've had. The pizza crust was very dry, coated with messy flour, and really bland. I usually eat it all but ended up having to leave a good bit of the edge crust on the pan. A lot of the toppings were charred into an unrecognizable black state. There should be more time spent training servers here about making sure silverware, plates, and napkins are brought without a patron having to ask. Also, our empty glasses were left for us to find a place for them on that tiny table even though the server brought more and should've noticed them. We were seated next to a railing, so we placed our dirty dishes and extra table items up there to make room for our two small pizza pans and dishes on our table. We had a couple bad experiences in the months after they came back from the shutdown, but we decided to try them again several months ago. Then when i get my food the pasta was cold, the sauce was so strong i could barely eat it the shrimp were fried not grilled, the bread was like ice. The pizza was decent, but what really got to me is what I witnessed in the restaurant. I don't know the entire story but I witnessed the owner rip into a young waitress to the point of her breaking down. When I went to management about it the awful manager had told me the owner has Asperger's and can't always control himself. I saw the owner then chain smoking outside. The Mexican pizza was really good as well. We started with spinach and artichoke bread sticks. It was my first time having that. We got the half order, and it was big enough to share between 4 people. The inside was a little cold and on the dark side. More light and a more comfortable temperature would have been a plus. Back in Hammond for a few days on business. Met up with my buddy Jake and his wife and they decided to take me to one of their local favorite places. We arrived to find a busy restaurant and were seated quickly. It was a God thing as the place seemed to fill up quickly. Jake ordered a pizza with alagator alligator sausage, fried ravioli and cheesey bread. With out a doubt the BEST pizza I've ever had this far south. I'd never had a pie with a sweet sauce such as this, and it was simply amazing. We also has a full order of their wings with their voodoo BBQ sauce. Being the wing lover I am, this was a must. SOOO here's the scoop. If you like a unique, good quality, fresh and hot pizza and other items (loaded breadsticks, pastas, sandwiches, etc.) then this is the place for that in Hammond, for sure. However, every single time we go to this place, the service is slow. Not "bad service" in my opinion, but they just don't have any sort of focus on "keep an eye on your table". I think this definitely affects the turnover of tables, which maybe it's due to a delay in the back of the house/kitchen? But it's not just the server... Even our hostess the last time we went was almost lethargic-like in her work. No one has a sense of urgency about their work. The other factor that, honestly, even made me do this review, was the smell of the restaurant. Honestly, when we were sitting at our table (the last time we went), you didn't notice it- at first. But on one of the trips to find our waitress (yes, I had to go find her to get utensils to eat the food they delivered), I had to go near the servers station area. The smell from the back of the house was PUTRID. Like the smell "on a steamy hot summer afternoon outside of a trash bin in the French Quarter" smell. This was so disheartening-- this place has such a reputation that it's a great place to go, casual, low key, yummy food, etc... But the smell is just horrible!! I can't help but hope their owners read these reviews. Something has got to be done about that smell issue. I don't know why it's like that (city water or sewage issues maybe? I don't know) but, I know I will think twice before eating there. Hence why I rated it a 3 stars, in my opinion.... Lackluster service and smelly restaurant isn't a 4 or 5 star to me.
