We had lunch today at Olive Garden and were lucky enough to have Will as our waiter. I honestly have to say he was one of the best servers we've ever had. We eat out fairly often, so we encounter a lot of different waitstaff, and it's rare for someone to stand out the way he did. Will has mastered the very fine line between being attentive and being intrusive. He seemed to appear at the table at exactly the right moment every single time--never hovering, but never leaving us needing anything either. In fact, my teenage daughter even commented that he always came by at the exact right time. We wanted for absolutely nothing. He anticipated our needs before we had to ask, kept the meal flowing perfectly, and made the entire experience feel smooth and relaxed. This was especially impressive considering it was a busy Sunday lunch rush. Great service like that makes a big difference in the dining experience, and Will truly made ours exceptional. Me & my family have been living in this area for 6 years and we have never got to experience this Olive Garden location. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here tonight. The food was fast and hot. The service was great. Our waiter got a big table during our stay and while he attended to them the manager and several other service members checked on us to see if they could help us out or get us anything. Every one has such a positive attitude and you can tell it's a lot of team work that happens at this location. We will be back. read more

Came here for dinner right before the rush. Was immediately greeted and brought to the table. A short time after, the waiter came over and took our order and our food was brought out an even shorter time later. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce with water and got the chicken gnocchi soup. Food was very good, was never brought breadsticks though. Never went a long time without the waiter checking on us and he was very, very friendly. First of all, I don't like Olive Garden, I never have with it's soggy pasta and it's fake Italian food, but my roommate likes it so I give in once in a while. I picked up two to go orders recently. I got their over priced sirloin, which I'm sure was cooked in a microwave, however, it was not too tough. There laid a pile of dry pasta with nothing on it. I called and complained they had forgot to add the paste that usually accompanies it. The manager apologized and said she would give me a $25 store credit. We stopped on the way home from a weekend get away. We were greeted by a sweet hostess and we were seated quickly. Our server was super helpful and responsive. The salad and breadsticks arrived quickly followed by our meal.. I had chicken Alfredo over steamed broccoli and it was fantastic. I just don't know about this location. We don't eat here often at all. However each time we do, we find the taste and preparing of the food to be inconsistent. Last visit was an easy 3.5. This visit 3 or 4 months later, an easy 2.0. Not great to start with, and going in the wrong direction. A year ago o would have at least given them a 4.0. Something is seriously off. This visit we found that the pasta on all of our meals was not even Al dente, just plain undercooked and way too firm. So little Alfredo sauce on my dish that our Server noticed it on her way to the table and stated as she sat it down that it was too little and she was going to get more sauce for us. Not to mention that all of the Alfredo sauce, (we ordered the all you can eat dip for bread) was cold. Which made it thicker and lumpy. The Server was the best part of the meal. I don't think we'll be going back. This location clearly has some issues to work out. 2.0 stars was mainly for our kind and helpful Server. read more

The Olive Garden in Hammond Square Mall is always our go-to place as we are always treated with excellent service. The food is on point and we always get great servers. Drinks are always done to our liking. You can never go wrong with the chicken gnocchi soup. This time I went with the classic lasagna and my wife had the chicken marsala. Perfecto, is all I can say. With the all you can eat soup and salad and breadsticks, we didn't leave any room for dessert this time. Again, another great experience. read more

Very impressive service here. The General Manager Derek, as well as the assistant manager Dennis came over to ensure I was satisfied with my service after a mix up at the hostess station. This particular Olive Garden location is a regular visit for us when we go out of town. On my most recent outing, I ordered the Smoked Mozzarella Shrimp Rigatoni from the oven baked pasta menu. I was so stoked because I had a mad shrimp craving. While the dish was very good, it was a tad underwhelming compared to the lavish pile of shrimp pictured on the menu (I know nothing ever looks like the photo) considering how much you pay for it. The salad was scrumptious as always, as well as receiving hot, buttery bread sticks. The service at this restaurant is always great! No complaints there. I do enjoy the promotional emails from Olive Garden so we can save some change, and it's a good incentive to get us in there! read more

Chose this place because I was picking up my husbands cousin. Chain restaurants are my usually my fist pick but she works at the OG in Slidell and really wanted their breadsticks. Overall, I was not thoroughly impressed. The salad and breadsticks were absolutely fantastic! Our waitress was not exceptionally attentive. At one point we waited for over 16 minutes for her to come back and take our order. My ravioli was just okay. Way too cheesy for my taste but the sauce was good.
