He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was outstanding. The Maui burger was packed with flavor and cooked just right, and the wings were delicious with the perfect balance of sauce and crispiness. We visit this Tommy's at least one a month but for some reason this is the first review I'm writing. Tommy's food is always good regardless of what we order - but the wings, focaccia, pizza and salads are by far our favorites. They also have 1/2 price sangria every Wednesday for "Wine Wednesdays" and it's absolutely delicious and packs a punch. We literally make it our business to dine there on Wednesdays specifically for the sangria lol. Service is also always consistent - they do a great job with the staff they hire. There typically is a wait and they don't do reservations or "join the waitlist" but the wait is never that long ... We will be back in May, and of course on a Wednesday. read more

We stopped in recently on a very crowded Wednesday night. Waited approx 5 mins for a table. They have a bar at the center of the restaurant & lots of booths / tables around the perimeter. We didn't see an outdoor patio. We ordered a pizza, chicken sandwich, and a few drinks. Wednesday's are 1/2 price sangrias, so right up my alley :) Our server was extremely pleasant & attentive. Quite the wait on a Friday night for two people, but once we were seated, service was fast. We started with the firecracker 50/50 appetizer, which was hot and had great flavor, but had a little too much sauce and breading for my liking. After a few minutes, the breading became soggy and was falling off of the calamari and shrimp. I really enjoyed my cubano sandwich- it was huge! Fries were hot and crispy. My boyfriend liked his fish and chips, although his tartar sauce was missing until our server came around and noticed it hadn't come out with his meal. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Tommy's Tavern and Tap in Mt. Laurel. We came specifically to watch the Patriots divisional playoff game, only to be told they would not play the sound because it "wasn't a local team." During the playoffs, no less. This rationale makes little sense considering New Jersey technically does not even have its own NFL team. Many fans here follow teams from New England, New York, Philadelphia, and beyond. Refusing to accommodate a nationally televised playoff game -- especially when customers are actively asking for it -- is a poor customer experience. The game was on, but watching a playoff matchup in silence completely kills the atmosphere and defeats the purpose of coming to a sports bar. If you're going to market yourself as a place for sports fans, you should be prepared to cater to all fans, not just a narrow definition of "local." Won't be returning for big games if this is how they choose to handle them. read more

Snowed in but pleasantly surprised! I was traveling to Philly for work and got snowed in on a Sunday evening during the first snow of the year. With horrible driving conditions and very limited dining options, I ended up at Tommy's Tavern + Tap--and I'm really glad I did. From the moment I arrived, I was immediately greeted by the host and thoughtfully seated away from the cold draft near the entrance, which was much appreciated given the weather. My server, Nicole, was absolutely wonderful--sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She arrived moments after I was seated, offered great drink suggestions, and walked me through the menu with ease. I ordered an Italian wine and debated between the onion soup and potato soup for my starter. I went with the onion soup, and it did not disappoint. Based on my order, Nicole adjusted her recommendations and suggested wings that paired well with the onion flavors--such a thoughtful touch. When she returned with my soup, I mentioned I was torn between the pizza or sushi on the menu but was leaning more towards something lite, which led me to order the Christmas sushi roll. The sushi was fresh, perfectly textured, and served at the right temperature. Nicole remained very attentive throughout the meal without being overbearing. To finish, I ordered the chicken thigh bites--crispy, slightly sweet, and with just the right kick of spice. A perfect way to end the meal on a cold, snowy night. This place is a diamond in the rough. I stopped in to watch a couple of games, have a sandwich or a burger, and have a beverage. What a pleasant surprise. Honestly, this place runs like a well oiled machine. From the second I walked in until the second I left (three hours later). It was around 7:00pm on a Saturday and the wait to be seated was approximately 30- 45 minutes but there was still a bunch of folks waiting. Seating at the bar was open and I was able to grab a seat at the corner of the bar and within one (yep one) minute I had a drink in front of me (and I'm telling you this place was hopping). The bar tenders were awesome. The head bar tender was incredible... it was like watching magic happen the way she never stopped mixing and multitasking. And the slightly younger ones (her under studies) were all super workers as well. Within three minutes I had a menu and and I ordered the French dip and woah... the flavor was banging. It was named something like Tommy's Dip but when you see it on the menu you'll recognize it... I asked the waitress whether to try this or a burger and she said while the burgers are great, this was top notch... and she was correct- Flavor Town! Portion wise ... well... it was almost too large for me to finish, but it was that good that I couldn't leave any behind. Here is the coolest thing: I honestly couldn't tell you who my waiter was, who my "assigned" bar tender was... because they all were in sync and everyone who stopped by asked if I needed anything, or brought water, or food, or drink. As I sat and watched this place it was apparent that they had their act together. I saw what appeared to be a kitchen manager, and a front manager, and the head bartender (who should be the bar manager because she made that place some big money with her work rate). But all of them interacted so well with the staff that you could tell there was a very "positive vibe" amongst the staff and managers. It really appeared that the employees were enjoying themselves and worked hard for each other. It created an atmosphere that really spread over to the patrons. A really "upbeat" and "happy to be here" experience... not too often seen. This is honestly the best experience in an establishment I have witnessed since prior to March 2020. So that was really positive. The atmosphere is a little "loud" because of the industrial look so it's definitely family friendly as well. Another family had gone there and recommended it to me. Every time we come here, the staff, service, and food are top notch. There was a problem with our order that our server took care of getting us a corrected salad , which we ended up taking home. Both Craig & Carmine ( managers ) were great & made us feel like we had been friends for years. Everything we've tried here has been amazing, however, our favorites are the beet salad & apple salad. The summer dessert of ice cream sandwiches was fantastic! I know the menu changes based on the season, but please make both salads a permanent menu item. Brussel sprouts with Honey mustard and bacon and roasted shallots were very good. Our only comment was that some of the brussel sprouts were undercooked. I also really liked the sushi nachos. The diced avocado wete super fresh and had that perfect texture where it's not too mushy. They forgot the ginger in mine. Thy tuna wasn't spread out evenly throughout the nachos. While it was a generous amount, it's a bunch of small pieces balled up together throughout, so I added to pick them apart. This portion is large enough to be a meal with plenty to spare. Mac and cheese pulled pork - consistency was a bit watery but still good. I'm not a pulled pork gal, but this would be a good go-to if you like BBQ and mac and cheese like my husband. We were looking for a place to stop on our way home to MD from CT. Chose this spot for variety of options and good GF choices. Couldn't have been better! Our server was knowledgeable and confirmed with the kitchen the GF/DF options and ingredients. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Service was great and manager stopped by to check on us. Looked very busy when we arrived. Told would be 15 min and then my phone buzzed in about 3 min! Atmosphere is lively with many TV screens. But it wasn't overly loud where we were. We looked the upbeat atmosphere. Beyond the dining experience, I am very thankful to the staff and manager - Bonnibel Burgos. I left my purse - with $, credit cards, ID, etc at my table when we left. I didn't realize until we arrived home 3 hrs later - in Maryland. I called and was immediately told that it was found and placed in the office safe. I called the next day and Bonnie assured me she would send it to me with expedited delivery. I offered to pay for the shipping and was told not to worry about it. I later called and obtained the tracking info from a different manager. I received my purse and everything that was in it!! I hope to return and will not leave my purse next time. Ordered Sticky Asian Ribs, meat was tender, fell off the bone, yet still had a wonderful crisp on the outside. Firecracker 50/50 is absolutely delicious (get the sauce on the side if you like a good sauce ratio with your bite). Waitress was pleasant and happily took our order! Really outstanding restaurant with a great selection of dishes, all of which seem to be expertly prepared. I was last here with a dozen co-workers shortly after it opened and everyone there was really impressed with the food, which is really saying something because it's a very diverse group. This time I had the Ahi Tuna wrap with fries. The tuna was perfectly seared on the outside and served with avocado and wasabi. Delicious. And the fries that came with it were just insanely good, similar to those you get in France. My wife loved the salmon she ordered. For a drink I had a regular Margarita, having forgotten how amazing their Patron Reposado Margarita is. That alone is worth a trip there! This place is huge with a variety of seating options. Plenty of comfortable and spacious booths. They also have high tables next to an oversized bar with lots of seating and multiple TVs. Excellent ventilation system. The lighting is on the dim side, so it's nice and soft on the eyes. But if it's a bright sunny day outside your eyes might have a little trouble adjusting initially to the transition from a bright to dim ambiance. I think this place it's great if your looking for a spot to meet up with friends and not sure what everyone wants to eat as there's a variety of food options. Fried Calamari - Fan fave and instant winner! The breading was perfect, not heavy. The calamari didn't rely on the dipping sauces since it was well seasoned. You didn't necessarily need the sauces, but both were really good. I loved that there were tubes and tentacles. Some prefer one over the other but I feel like when both coexist that's the sign of a great calamari dish. Spinach & Artichoke Dip - delicious, great texture to the dip, flavorful, fresh ingredients. Tap House Meatballs - all beef meatballs with ricotta, pecorino and house made marinara. These meatballs are HUGE and get the job done. I was expecting a little more when it came to the cook on the meatballs. It would have been nice if they were seared on the outside. The transition from sear to tender on the inside, along with lightly seasoning the ricotta would have elevated this dish. Sticky Asian Ribs - these are a winner! I bet you'll want to order another round of them, especially if your sharing! Sweet & Spicy sauce with fresh ginger, scallions and sesame seeds. Bulgogi Tacos - you get three flour tacos with Korean bbq short rib, topped with kimchi, pickled onion, cilantro & sriracha crema with kimchi fried rice. Everything about these tacos are a winner! It's a delicious marriage of ingredients that come together to make these tacos spectacular. Although, I cannot say the same thing about the kimchi fried rice. The fried rice just was not good. I don't think the proper rice was used, it was not the right cook you'd expect on fried rice. You can't say it was "fried" just because you tossed it around in a pan. There's a technique to getting it right. The rice did not taste fried. Other than that, the tacos can stand alone as a winner. Did I mention that the drinks are legit here! They are generous with the alcohol. You don't end up feeling like you paid for sugar water :) The blueberry lemon drop was sooooooooooo good! The old fashion was just right. There is something for everyone here. I admit that when I first saw the menu online, I didn't believe that they could do all of that well. Pizza, sushi, burgers, etc... your can't possibly be good at all of that, right? Wrong. They have separate kitchens and people specially trained for each area. Everything is good. They are also EXTREMELY serious about food allergies. Servers know allergens pretty well and always consult with the kitchen too. Finally got to eat in here! Ive had their takeout once before. The food here is actually really good considering how many different types of food they have! One thing I was not ready for is the way they do their wings! You have to dip them in the buffalo sauce and then the dipping sauce, it's not mixed into them which made it a much cleaner experience! It wasn't bad just unique I've never seen that before! There were four of us and we had the short rib sandwich, ahi tuna salad, and bacon cheese burger. Let me first start off with the service here is great. We sat at the bar from happy hour so had both the day/night shift bartenders. Everyone was attentive and very nice. Food was pretty good. The sushi nachos were okay. The chips were over fried. The spicy tuna roll was very good which I was surprised for "bar" food but would definitely recommend getting that again. The regular nachos had a decent amount of stuff on it and were tasty. Drinks were decent. We got a spicy marg and it definitely lacked the spice. We had been to the Tommy's Tavern in Princeton, but this was our first time to the new one in Mt. Laurel. It was so good, we went back there again a few days later. Daniel was our server and did a great job keeping our beer glasses full. Considering that both visits were before 5 pm--- the place was jammin'. We were able to get a booth both times inside. There is a nice outdoor area to dine or just chill with some libations. Many TV's around the room and especially the bar area mostly dialed into sports. They also have a loyalty program which I signed up for and already got a $10 reward dollars (not sure how much that equates to). Those rewards expire after 2 months. We started off with breaded cheese curds. Much like mozzarella sticks, but better. My wife had the Caesar Salad as well as onion soup. I ordered the shrimp scampi flatbread. It was enough for 2 meals. I highly recommend. Very tasty and there is 1 shrimp on every segment of flatbread. They're not inexpensive, but also not too high either. Beer was $7 per pint. Most other menu items were around $18-20 including the burgers. Definitely a great vibe and worth visiting. read more

Nothing special but nothing bad either. Let's start with food. I enjoyed the cheese curds but they reminded me of mini mozzarella sticks more than cheese curds. Pizzas and flatbreads were good. If you love garlic the shrimp scampi flatbread is the way to go. So garlicky in a good way. Was on the fence about the calamari but took the risk and got it. Calamari was tender. Now be prepared this place is cold and loud. I mean bring a sweater and warm up the vocal cords to yell at the person across from you. All in all would I come back but not my first option. Loved our experience at Tommy's this evening! We have eaten at the restaurant in Princeton and we were eager for the Mt Laurel restaurant to open. Let me say, it did not disappoint! We met one of the managers, Jacob in Princeton and he stopped by our table twice to say hello and see if everything was okay. What a great guy! Cocktails were terrific! I had a nice pour of J Lohr Chardonnay and my husband an excellent martini. Kudos to the bar staff. My husband had the bacon, Swiss and cheese burger. I had the steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms. The temperature on each sandwiches was exactly as we ordered. The meals were large and we brought half of it home. The restaurant is very busy but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu offers a variety of choices. This place is definitely a winner for us and in this area. Dinner time on Friday was busy and there was a wait, however there was ample room at the bar and we were a group of 8 so we expected a longer wait for the larger party. By 8pm I noticed that there were plenty of tables available. It was my first time there so I cannot speak to the later 10:00 crowd, if there is one. My margarita was small and expensive for the size but very good plus they have a full bar and other custom cocktails in the menu. The rest of the group drank beer, of which they have a sizable draft menu plus bottles and seltzers as well. Everyone enjoyed the food, for apps we had guacamole, ribs, cauliflower and wings. There was plenty of each for all to share. For dinner we had a variety, sandwiches, tuna poke bowls and chicken parmigiana.
