We were last night with a group for trivia, which drew a nice crowd. However, our food and drinks were awful. Several of us ordered draft beer of differing brands, all of which were unfortunately flat and not too cold. Our waitress did remove them from our check. A few of our group ordered the wings. They looked good, but were tasteless and gristly. My french dip was just about inedible. The au jus served with the sandwich tasted of chemicals, and the sandwich itself was disgusting. My husband's cheeseburger was served almost raw. Chips on the side with my friend's wrap were stale. The only redeeming food item was the sweet potato fries, which were very good. Our favorite location! Parking can be tricky and they definitely get very busy after 6pm, but we always go a little early to get a booth. The servers are all usually friendly and attentive and the food is consistently good. Half off wings on Tuesdays and lots of daily drink specials. Went to grab some wings and watch the World Cup semi-final game today (Wednesday). There was a Seat Yourself sign so my mom and I went to the back area and sat a high top. Tables both to the right and left of us were being served. It was not busy, as it was 230pm on a weekday. We sat at our table for 25 minutes without a single staff member even acknowledging us. Multiple servers walked by and even looked at us, and then just continued on their way (while continuing to serve the tables surrounding us). Not even a quick stop to say "hey sorry for the wait, somebody will be right with you." Just straight eye contact and then ignorance. My daughter and I attended the breakfast with Santa event with our friends and it was so cute! Mr. and Mrs. Claus had a sweet little setup and Mrs. Claus was even making balloon animals!! This was the first time I've seen breakfast items on the menu, and while I decided to go with my beloved buffalo chicken wrap, the waffles looked delicious! Solid sports bar with a great menu and list of beers. I live less than a mile away and have been here countless times over the years. Always a great experience between the food and service, so points for consistency. The bartender Rose is a rockstar. This place can get super loud and crowded; it's hard to find a parking space and/or a table but once you're seated service is always quick and friendly. Two separate bars, one in front and one in the back. It's an awesome place to watch a game, especially if a Philly team is playing, doubly so if it's a playoff game. I've never seen such massive tv's or so many of them packed into a space at any other sports bar I've ever been to. Though if you have ADHD or suffer from seizures maybe think twice about coming here. Can't speak for the whole menu but their wings and sandwiches are always perfect. read more

Pjs offers a lot of different options for seating as well as an outside patio. The one thing that I love about pjs is they offer so many gluten free options. They have their own gluten sensitive menu. One of my favorite things to order is their chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The chicken is grilled nicely and ranch aioli is the perfect pairing. The best part is they have a gluten free roll for all their sandwiches and burgers. You can also eat their wings either naked, hot and honey, or garlic parm. I love their hot and honey wings. It's the perfect paring: sweet and spicy. If you looking for a place to catch a Philly sport game or just to grab good food/good drinks, then this is the place for you! read more

This is a decent local pub. The place has a ton of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Outside they have picnic tables with umbrellas as well as TVs to watch a game. As for the menu, lots of options to choose from. They have something for everyone. I really love their salad selection, very large portions. For an appetizer, you can't go wrong with the nachos. So a few months back, they made some changes, some good some bad. One change though, really... changes my thoughts of the place. I've watched a million sporting events at PJs. Well not a million but a bunch. I went to watch a Phillies playoff game and the volume was DEAFENING. Comically so. Like loud enough that I couldn't hear my wife talking to me from the other side of the table (so it wasn't without its benefits), loud enough that the server had to take our order a few times to make sure she heard us right, it was very loud. Really hurt the atmosphere to be honest. The server kind of laughed when we asked about it, she said multiple people have complained but it is a new company policy and not even the manager can change it. Same with the temperature apparently (which was fine). She also said they took away the employee discount for food, which seems petty. So I would not consider coming here for a game. read more

This is not my usual PJs location I go to but it was the closest location to where I was and my daughter wanted wings. This location is pretty cool. When you walk in , it has an old school pub feel. The hostesses were very nice and accommodating to our request for a booth. We ordered a nice variety of food. I have to say PJs kids menu is very reasonable. Entree, drink and ice cream...$6.99. My only complaints were the wings and my tacos needed more sauce. All and all I would definitely come back to this location if in thxe area. read more

I've heard a lot about PJ's since being in the South Jersey area. I happen to be a major food enthusiast, so I decided to give them a try when I saw they had pumpkin spice wings as their flavor of the month. I came in on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant had a decent amount of guests, but I wouldn't call it super busy. Our waitress greeted us in a somewhat rushed manner and quickly took our orders for drinks. She left us for a "few minutes" to look at the menu and decide on entrees. Almost 15 minutes later, she still hadn't come back to our table. I had to wave down another server to bring her to us. After quite a long time, she showed up and took our orders. I had ordered a 10-piece Classic Wings, half with Pumpkin Spice flavor of the month, half with PJ's signature Hot n' Honey flavor. I also ordered a side of PJ's Famous Fries. Our food came out in a decent amount of time. Everything was just OK. The Pumpkin Spice wings were a bit odd, but that was expected. My fries were WAY too salty, and the Hot n' Honey wings were mediocre even compared to other restaurant chains. My friend had ordered a burger that he also thought was mediocre. Overall, I'm glad a gave PJ's a try, but I definitely wouldn't come back again. Service was beyond subpar, and there's nothing special about the food. The South Jersey area has plenty of better options to try. I'd even prefer Buffalo Wild Wings on their half-off Tuesday. It was a nice amount of food for a hungry girl, but PJ's isn't worth it if you find yourself in the area. read more

I don't often go to bars or eat bar food, but when I do, it's here. The quality of both the food and the service is exemplary, the staff is friendly, and the entire restaurant functions like a well-oiled machine. We've tried just about everything on the menu by now and it's all great. Nachos, wings, boneless wings, salads--you name it--is served promptly and arrives at your table like it was just prepared literally seconds ago. The burgers here are up with the best I've ever had, due to the exceedingly high quality of the meat and temperature of the grill. Highly recommended. Absolutely amazing food. Full disclosure, I've only had their takeout, but I've had it two times and each time it has been absolutely fantastic. Two amazing dishes were the California Crunch Salad and the Loaded TaterTots. Unreal. Flavorful, filling, and the salad in particular was so fresh and and crisp. Other than that they have some really great looking comfort food, burgers, desserts and overall a lot of variety. I look forward to actually visiting PJs in person. This was my first time visiting PJ Whelihan's so therefore this was my first time visiting this locAtion. the hostess was nice but I didn't particularly like that she didn't offer me to sit outside/patio/bar/inside she just assumed I wanted to sit inside. I redirected her that I wanted to sit at the bar and I was able to do so with all the social distancing I must say that this establishment does a great job at keeping the distance for customers both inside and outside. My bartender was Amy she made a tasty regular flAvored margarita for me, so tasty I had to order another :) I ordered buffalo chicken dip that was portioned appropriately with all Ingredients and the perfect temperature for both dip and the pita bread...sheesh even the carrots and celery were fresh and tasty. The bathrooms were clean, the restaurant was a good temperature inside and outside of the establishment was neat and organized. I had an amazing visit. Thank you. read more

We came for a happy hour but were a little disappointed in the overall experience, I must admit. We started with mozzarella sticks - they were about $4 or $5 and we got a total of 5 on the plate as a happy hour option. We then ordered the regular "loaded" nachos with the chili on the side. I wish I had taken a picture of it. Let's use the word SKIMPY instead of loaded. Description of the menu item: "Crisp tortilla chips loaded with PJ's five-alarm chili, american cheese sauce, cheddar jack cheese, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream drizzle and creamy guacamole." Barely any cheese, much less tomatoes, jalapenos, or guacamole. I'd guess about 65% of the chips didn't have ANYTHING on them at all. And sour cream drizzle? That was about the only accurate adjective used. The beef chili was actually really tasty and hit the spot - I'd order it again. Although this location is literally only steps away from home, I doubt this will be come a regular spot, unfortunately. Servers were nice enough. read more

I love my PJ's! I'm used to going to the one in Blue Bell and it's always so PACKED on Wing Night but it was pretty spacious last night which is great, no wait. I got my wings pretty fast and they were oh so good! The one downside to this place is the parking and the fries. Parking is pretty small so we had to park on the main street and the fries could definitely have been hotter, they tasted pretty lukewarm and definitely would have been crispier if they were hotter. P.J.'s has the best wing deal on Tuesdays. After 3pm on Tuesdays their wing platters are 1/2 off. My girlfriend and I recently dined in around 11:30pm and we were ready to eat! Unfortunately, we were told the kitchen was closing soon and the restaurant was as well in about an hour. The service was friendly and our food came out quick. We just wished the restaurant hours would be accurately displayed online, 2am is the supposed time. The famous fries were seasoned well and the cheese sauce was perfect. I had the hot & honey and sweet chili wings while my girlfriend had chipotle bbq. All 3 flavors were tasty, and the wings were big and crispy. If you want dinner go somewhere else, the Ruben we had was good, the wagyu beef sandwich, if it is wagyu , is probably the left over cuts but was decent. But I would suggest you order a cheese steak, as I'm sure it's the same meat but a couple bucks cheaper. The fish and chips which was my mistake is frozen batter around an unknown element. I have had better fish sandwiches from McDonald's, and I hate McDonald's. I give them a three to be kind, but it will be the last time I eat here. Ordered through a 3rd party delivery service but when I got my food I was flabbergasted that my 1 lb of fries was only a few ounces in the container. This was supposed to be to share so sadly I didn't even get many fries, I received more fries in my box with the nuggets! The nuggets and wings etc are always good here but that's about it. So... this was an interesting dining experience. For the locals, it's obviously the place to go. For new people, you feel very much out of place, or at least we did, from first walking in the door. Lol literally from the time we walked in the door. Apparently we went in through the side door, we didn't know (not labeled as such) and waited to be seated....and waited....and waited..... It wasn't like they didn't have waitresses either. One was on her cellphone and the other was getting her flirt on (neither of which I'm against but can you seat people first). One "hangry" fit later we're turning to leave when a waitress came over to seat us. Once (eventually) seated the wings were pretty great and so was the dessert.
