If you like strong frozen drinks then this will be your heaven! I believe their frozen drinks are what they are known for so we figured we had to try them. I'm not much of a frozen drink guy, but they were all pretty good. They let you sample before making a decision which is awesome. The White Russian was my favorite. This drink was really strong, but really good. I really felt like I was sitting back drinking a milkshake. I downded it pretty quick and then the slight buzz and brain freeze set in. I feel like I could have sat there and drank it all day! The staff really brought my rating down. We came in and stood at the bar for 9 minutes before anyone greeted or acknowledged we were alive. We were pretty close to leaving. When the bartender did come he was not very friendly. We took our drinks outside which is a nice little area. They have multiple tables to sit at. Not great views, but not bad. We had fun and will probably be back at some point. read more

Does anyone ever really go to Toms? The few times I've stumbled in here drunkenly were to use the bathroom. No lines and for sure the cleanest bathrooms on Fry. Now, that deserves a medal. I always feel bad to just use the place so I always buy at least a drink or a shot. I'm telling you they don't disappoint. Cheap and strong are all I need. Sadly I've never tried the daiquiris. I'd imagine if you just stay at Toms and drink those all night you'll have the worst hangover known to man. I know they do live music here some nights and have little events. I've never attended but I'm sure they're probably moody and hipster like. Just kidding, kind of. I don't know try it out. Maybe it's your thing. read more

This place has an amazing atmosphere to it, Calm, cool, collected, open, I have been in several times and the bartenders are always nice and up for a chat. Ever since they started getting food trucks it's been the place to go to get some food a drink. Went to Tom's "daiquiri" oh wait more like Toms DUMBery for what I thought was a prestigious mixology lounge to experience excellent craft cocktails and quality time with friends of many years. We filed in one by one, this being our fourth establishment of the night, IDs locked and loaded, expecting to enter the narrow corridor without any hinderence considering the fact that we are all of age. Suddenly, this fluid and positive twilight came to a screeching halt when one of our comrades was being held at the hostess stand for an alarming amount of time. Hailing from the rich land of Indiana, his ID was discriminated against based on its differences from the traditional texan regulars. A woman of little taste scrolling though Instagram greeted me with judging eyes. "His ID is fake, I know because I don't see that special line. " Her eyes trailed up and down multiple times examining every corner of his ID. The words that left her lips will forever stain my memory."I am not comfortable with this Indiana ID, I must call the manager at once. "After being interrogated by a short statured so called "manager" named Anthony for what seemed like an eternity, Ryan realized that getting his ID back may not be a cakewalk after all. Ryan politely inquired about reclaiming what was rightfully his so that we could go forth with our conquest of Fry St. With confidence and snark, short Anthony replies "I'm going to hold onto this because it's fake." At this point Ryan was growing weary as his friends prevailed enjoying alcoholic syrupy shaved ice, and he was left in the trench of shame outside of the doors. Many of us decided to take matters into our own hands and we began to plea with our short starred enemy to no avail. The police were involved and all agreed that a threat of fraud was not substantiated, an this ID was indeed authentic. After a treacherous hike to another establishment for the bouncers validation it came to a consensus that Ryan's ID was in fact valid ", as expected. An apathetic apology was issued in the words of "sorry, I guess". Readers Beware of this crooked establishment for if you are a family member, loved one, or simply a tourist from a distant land be prepared for absolute discrimination of your ID for its subtle differences. read more

Went here a while ago with my high school friends looking for a good sports bar with cheap drinks to have our fantasy draft at. Told the owner and he was really cool about everything even let us hang our draft board up next to the stage. He let us bring in some food from a nearby restaurant and even gave me some draft advice when no one was looking. We ended up staying for the live music they had later and I don't even know how many of those daiquiri's, but be careful they are stronger then they taste. If I didn't live far I would go back to that bar for sure, but I will definitely be back next year! read more

We keep coming back to this place and they've even improved an already inviting watering hole since we first visited, such as a patio, more pool tables, more seating options and more live music offerings. The selection from the full bar is impressive as are the Daiquiris (their specialty obviously with my favorite being the Whie Russian) and beer selections. The place is very clean, friendly and inviting and the local owner is often himself behind the bar interacting with his customers which we find refreshing. If you haven't tried this place you should, it's different than anything you'll find on Fry street. Oh and they have the best Jalapeño popcorn around. read more

I had really high hopes for this place, as I had heard so much good about it. However, I've never experienced such poor service ever in my time in Denton. My friend and I walk in on a Tuesday night, so they weren't super busy (maybe 10 people there). The bartender is talking to a customer, and I approach her and ask if it's okay for us to sit at a table and order drinks. She says yes with a tone that was like "don't you know already? Duh?". So, we sit down and she continues to talk to the lone customer at the bar. After sitting at the table for 10 minutes, the bartender continues to socialize, even looking at us during her conversation. We decided after 15 minutes with no sign of a server or bartender who wanted to take our order, to just walk out. Bartender didn't so much as seem to notice or care we got up, didn't try and stop us. I might come back on a busier night, but that was by far among the worst service I've ever had anywhere. Pathetic. Don't you want our money? read more
