When I was living in St. George we had one and only one option for internet. The-Internet-Service-Provider-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named was, as many ISPs unfortunately are, THE WORST. They could afford to be because hey, what other choice did we have but to put up with their terrible service? My siblings and I are signing my parents up for Tonaquint's service and I will be back edit/complete this review with my opinion on how it compares. Don't believe the reviews. Left Info West for these hacks. As I type this, my Internet drops in and out. Can't watch anything on Netflix. WHEN you get ahold of someone, it's always an excuse. Your router location (in my garage where it was recommended to be installed)is probably an issue. No kidding? Why then does it work for hours on end and then not for hours on end? They SUCK. Back to Info west once I'm past the pay me for opting out early. Who actually believed we'd find great service and customer support? This idiot. My bad. Oh yeah....one other item. ..other issue could be interference with Info west signal. Sad. Steer clear!!!! read more

I had been very unhappy with my former internet provider at my second home in St. George, service was slow for the price and basically unreliable, often going off line for 15 minutes to an hour at a time, so I decided to try Tonaquint after seeing an ad at a home show. The call to sales/customer service was quick and easy and the installation was arranged for in less than 10 minutes. The installation was very well done and only took a little over 30 minutes. Service delivered has been very reliable so far (2 months) and the speeds are very much in the range of what was promised. I have not had any need to call customer service since the installation order. Very pleased! read more

Three months ago, I would have given Tonaquint Networks 5 stars. The positives were fast, reliable service and fantastic customer service. On one occasion, my 2-year-old had accidentally unplugged the modem, and Tonaquint called me to tell me service was down even before I noticed it was. We were impressed! When they installed everything initially, they had to put a hole in my wall, right in the middle of my living room. Then, they thought it was clever to bracket the black cord to the wall for several feet, for the purpose of "hiding the modem." I'd rather look at a modem than a hole in the wall were the cord came through, along with a few feet of thick black cable and several more holes created by brackets. I was willing to put up with that, because of the service they offered. Well, several weeks ago, a tech came out and switched our dish to an "updated" version. After that, we were lucky to get over 1 Mbps. When we complained, we were told by the CEO that we should have never been offered Tonaquint service, because we don't live within the signal's range. Why had it worked previously? Why were there HOLES IN MY WALL? We canceled service with them. When they sent the tech today to uninstall things and remove the dish, all he did was take the dish and remove the indoor cable brackets. As he was trying to leave, my husband noticed he hadn't taken down brackets installed on the exterior of our home. He was also planning to leave behind the dish mount near our roof line. My husband told him we'd like it all removed, and the tech said, "Well, we don't use those dish mounts anymore, and maybe you'd like me to leave this up in case you get wireless internet again." Um, no. So, he acted like he was going to remove EVERYTHING. As we were leaving the house later in the day, we noticed he had NOT removed the brackets and the black cable was clipped and still zip-tied to the rain gutter downspout. Here's the funny thing. The guy today said that the original tech who hooked us up had done so against company advisement, but he had come with that tech initially to set everything up. He told us that original tech had been fired. That's neat. The company still hires morons, makes empty promises, and leaves holes in walls. NOT worth it. read more

I've had Tonaquint Networks as my home ISP now for 8 months. I have never had a delay in my service or any buffering on Netflix, Hulu, etc... I've had two other ISP's before Tonaquint and both were very inconsistent. If there is ever a problem, they are quick to diagnose. If it's not on their end they will still help you to solve your problem. I have never had an unexpected outage. Overall, these guys are AWESOME!! read more

My service has been a little better over the past month or so. My speed tests have averaged 10mbps.

Tonaquint seems to be a newer and smaller business. They only have 2 towers (both coming from roughly the same direction) and you must be able to receive a direct signal from that direction. I live in the Sunset area of St. George and was hoping to use Tonaquint as my internet provider, but the tech was unable to get a signal because trees across the street blocked the path of the signal. The tech (who was very nice) said that happens a lot in the downtown St. George area. It was very frustrating to not have the internet for a week while waiting for the install and then find out that I had to restart the process of finding an internet provider all over again. It was understandable that they couldn't find time in their schedule for a week to come check the signal, as they only have one tech, but still a major disappointment. I hear great things about their internet and speed and I appreciated the customer service they provided on the phone (always awesome when you can talk to a real person instead of an automated system or a sales agent in a call center), but I guess it is kind of like the lottery whether you are lucky enough to be able to receive the Tonaquint signal or not!! read more
