We don't live in the area, but we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and decided to bowl here. The price was just ok at $29 for 2 games on a Friday night. But I found the place in need of an update. It was clean, and didn't take me long to find a ball. But the shoes and laces were so old. The laces were crumbling as I tied them. The screens didn't have any fun selections to choose from. Please do not ever come here. Worst bowling alley I have ever been to. To start, the lanes don't even work half the time. Multiple times pins randomly fell or the machine got stuck even when we asked for a new lane. Next, good luck finding an actual decent ball. Every bowling alley I have ever been to has a better ball selection. Not done yet, don't worry. Food was ass, everything was overpriced, service was terrible even though there may have been 2 people at the bar. Workers were rude. Manager was even more rude, and the best part of it all is that this place openly supports theft! The person I went with had their bag pickpocketed (cops say this has been an ongoing issue) and when we tried to work with them to find tge culprit/bag, the bowling alleg decided to tell the cop that we were "belligerent drunk" and they "could not keep track of us". Welp im sure it must have been real hard to keep track of us in the two places we were all night, our two lanes for bowling and our seats at the bar after that we did not move from until we left. read more

We came here because they had a sweet $10 deal where you could get two games, a slice of pizza and pop during the kids' mid-winter break, so I decided to indulge and take my little brother because he loves to bowl. Now honestly, I hate bowling. I have zero arm strength, never have, never will. I've never bowled any triple digit games. But we still managed to enjoy ourselves nonetheless. When we arrived the bowling center was PACKED and we were put on a waitlist - ended up waiting maybe 15 minutes or so for a lane to open for us. From there we got our shoes, picked our balls, and played. The reason I'm docking a star is that when you're playing and you finish a game, you can just keep playing if you want, but the system doesn't shut off after you've reached the limit you paid for. I guess they do unlimited bowling here, and then you pay for how many rounds you play after you finish - but I didn't know that and ended up having to pay an extra $12 for two games we didn't mean to play. Most centers I've been to will only allow you to play what you've already paid for, but here I definitely left frustrated. Despite this, I'd say this is a great place to bring younger kids - there were a surplus of them there during our visit, and the lanes are definitely accommodating to little kids (with bumpers and slides they can use to push the heavy balls down the lane). There was also a number of older people here, enjoying themselves. There's a bar in here too, with a pool table! I'm not sure I'll be returning any time soon, mostly because there are closer bowling alleys to where I live and like I said before...I really don't like to bowl. read more

Nice large bowling alley (40 lanes!). This bowling alley is clean, and there are plenty of tables and seating without feeling cramped. The bar is also a good size, with 48 taps, all $5 pints, which for some of the beers they have is a crazy good deal. You can check out their beer list online. Shoe rental is $4 a person. After 9pm on tues-thurs games are $1 each ($0.75 on Mondays). If you have your own shoes like I do, that equals some super cheap bowling. Even with shoe rental its a pretty cheap evening of entertainment. Peak bowling costs are $4.50 a game. Last year they had some fun themed leagues, like a craft beer league and a wine league. Not sure if those will continue, but know there are fun league options even if you arent a serious bowler. Staff was friendly, and when the sole fell off my one of my shoes (Ive had them for a good 15 years) the guy let me use a pair of the house shoes for free. Do not go here if flashing lights triggers seizures for you. The tv screens all flicker non-stop and it gives normal people headaches. Otherwise, advertised that all games are $1.50, they make up for the cost in shoe rentals. $30 for 2 people to play 2 games and rent shoes. We came in to 2/3 of the lanes empty with a long waiting list, and then we told we had to be done in an hour no matter how many games we bought. It was very confusing since the website said open bowling was all day and we specifically picked this alley because it was open during the block of time we were told we couldn't bowl in. I guess call ahead if you want to go here and it's fine otherwise. They even have the chute for kids to roll balls down and aim. The food is decent. The lanes didn't malfunction. But the open bowling times aren't advertised correctly. read more

This is really nice and big bowling place. Pretty cheap and nice. I give them 3 star because it is important for me when I go somewhere the staff be nice and friendly. The guy that was in charge for shoes and a game was pretty mean . But I really had fun there and loved the environment even in the middle of the week they had lots of people's there. They had one fun idea selling slide pizza in the cart for just $2 and was delicious. The bar was fun however their pool table was broken, their darts was not good and the machine was keep count scoring wrong. They have lots of lines so when ever you go they have empty spot to play. It was nice place for kids to play. Few kids playing next to us and looked like they had to much fun so as we :) Over all I really like there and go back there again. This is the alley that all my friends who grew up in the area go to. They have weeknight specials (Mondays are 2-4-1 margaritas & 75 cent games, Tuesdays are $10 beer tubes etc.) so they make it a relatively inexpensive way to spend the night. There are a lot of lanes here and I don't think we've ever had a problem getting two lanes next to each other. Nothing particularly spectacular about this place but it's always fun & the drinks are pretty cheap! read more

Fun times! What else is there to do on a Tuesday night in the Tonawandas? Bowling is 1.00 per game after 9 PM. You can't beat that. That said, the shoes do cost $3.00 to which rent, but for 3 of us to bowl 3 games each it was still under 20.00 so that makes it awesome. This is definitely a bowling alley, complete with bathrooms where the toilets don't necessarily flush completely the first time and a bar that serves pitchers of beer for under $10.00. There are some things I love about this place, like the amazing selection of beverages and the "divey" atmosphere, and those are what have kept me coming back every month for the last five plus years. But i'm quite honestly getting tired of being treated as a second class citizen because i was born without anything dangling between my legs. If I had a dollar for every time I was told "let us check and see if it's alright for you to bowl in that empty lane next to the guys, because it might be too distracting for their game", or "no we won't put music on because the guys don't like it", I'd be able to retire early. My money spends the same as theirs. Period. In the five plus years I've been coming here to bowl, I've never once heard anything coming out of the giant speakers that are mounted every ten feet along the wall, other than the sound of an employee on a microphone announcing who won the raffle, or that it's time for pizza, or that it's time for the ladies league to submit their donations for charity.. pretty sure the boys don't do that. We approached the counter when we arrived. There was a man with glasses chatting with someone not sales related. So we waited for him or any of the other two staff at the desk to acknowledge us for about 10 minutes before we had to speak up and ask to pay so we could play. We had an excited 5 year old with us who couldn't wait to play. The man still did not acknowledge us but a young boy finally checked us in. I went to the bar to order drinks and neither of the two bartenders acknowledged me. They glanced and saw me standing and waiting with wallet in hand. I left and went back to my game. I tried again after we were done. This time the three of us stood at the bar waiting to be acknowledged. Again, the same blonde with a belly shirt on didn't even look at us. Another older brunette bartender was shoving food in her mouth and looked at us but didn't come to take our order. Again we left. This has to be the worst customer service I've ever seen at any business. It's decent human nature to at least say "hi, we'll be with you in a minute." Had a friend in from town and wanted to go moonlight bowling. Thought this would be a good place from when we were kids but has become horrible. Horrible stench of marijuana, very packed and unorganized as ever. Not a family friendly place when u have a security guard at the front as people walk in that's how u know they attract the wrong crowd. I understand safety but doesn't affect the way people still act! And 18$ a person even if u have ur own equipment which is ridiculous! Super fun, super cheap, humble spot. I used to go here for bowling "lock-ins" as a kid growing up in the City of Tonawanda. They've done a lot of work since the days of my youth, especially in the bar section, but I don't think prices have gone up much. My boyfriend and I have been coming here more frequently and the last time I came, I didn't bring enough cash. One of the owners ended up cutting me a deal--she wasn't even condescending or rude like I should have known better--she waved her hand and said "eh, it's alright, I see you guys in here enough." Where else would an owner do something like that? So, if you bowl, bring cash, but they do take cards in the bar. They have a nice pool table, and a decent selection of drinks. My boyfriend had a lot of questions for the man in the bowling ball shop (on site! woohoo!) and the employee was super helpful and friendly. Definitely check this place out. Very nice, friendly family bowling center. Currently in a adult child summer league. Like so many area bowling houses, Tonawanda has a well loved environment but has everything you want for fun, even the local TV weekly series swings in. I highly suggest the pizza if hunger strikes like a great rack clearing shot. Very good sause and crispy crust! read more

It is a great bowling place, except for discrimination towards the foreign country citizens. Despite the fact of being over 21years old, declined request to buy a glass of beer. without passport presentation, no option to buy a beer with two valid IDs. There are no complaint about safety policy of the company, but lack of logic does not compensate that. This is the first time in a long time, while in NY State, to be declined to purchase alcohol. Also I do not bring my passport to my road trip, as I consider that to be the most important document of mine for Identification. Please note: Niagara Falls businesses are highly dependent on tourists. And this is not friendly towards them. Other than that, it is a great place for bowling. This is a typical bowling alley with about 40 lanes, a bar, restaurant, and a nice party room. Prices are very reasonable, coupons are easy to come by, employees are nice and helpful, and the technology was easy to operate. There were a lot of small kids and several birthday parties on a Saturday afternoon but still plenty of open lanes. One criticism is that there weren't any low weight balls available but they may have been all taken by the children's bday parties. All in all, a solid place to go bowling. read more

My first time here with a large group our last. Service is not friendly at all. On a Saturday if you come in late to bowl and it is before 12, they tell you the lanes will shut off therefore don't bother coming to this place at 11 to bowl, just show up at 12 to do moonlight . We ended up staying for an hour in the bar area and it was great service there were good and we spent a lot in drinks as well. Overall my experience was not good at all in the general bowling area and working with the general public any associates and or management should work to please the customers and keep an inviting atmosphere. This place is nice, me and my friends went for their moonlight bowling, or as we call it the "midnight" bowling. You can rent shoes and bowl for 3 hours for just $15. A great deal and the technology works well. Its not the most modern but the old fashion feel is better than an expensive fancy overpriced bowling alley. Every employee was extremely rude and extremely excessive with IDing me. I understand checking an ID 1-2 times but I was legit stalked out during the night to ensure that I was the only one in my party drinking. Chill bro. We are at a bowling alley, I'm of age, and you're making me feel uncomfortable to the point where I want to go home. This review is based on two visits. The first time we came here was because this alley participates in the Kids Bowl Free program in the summer. We signed up our toddler son though we only managed to come out once (still worth it). He had a decent time. He liked that they had a ramp that he could roll the ball down instead of having to throw it. I remember the ramp being pretty uneven though, so you couldn't get a good straight path down the middle even if you tried, but hey, it's just for the little kids and they really don't care. We had just bought him a new sippy cup (one of those double-wall insulated spill proof guys) and we accidentally left it there. I called when we got home and told them what lane we were on and asked them to hold it. The person said they'd call me back if they found it. They never did. I suspect that they probably just threw it out right after we left. Either that or someone else took it, but ew. Anyway, other than losing our cup there, we had had a decent time. Today, we and some friends called ahead to see if this alley had lanes open. The woman on the phone said yes. Ten minutes later, we walked in, and after waiting several minutes, she told us there was a half hour wait and she could put our names on the list. I don't understand how the alley filled up to the point where there was a half hour wait, when only ten minutes earlier, there were definitely lanes available. We had three toddlers with us. There was no way we could wait that long. So we all shuffled back out to the cars. Bottom line is that this alley is decent to bowl at, but based on our two experiences, customer service could use a little refreshing. Call ahead to make sure there is a lane for you, and maybe ask to reserve that lane or something, especially if you have kids. There's nothing worse than getting them all excited, taking them out in the cold, schlepping all the gear in, waiting in line, and then finding out that there are no lanes available. Very friendly staff and well maintained lanes. It feels like you're stepping back in time which is kind of neat.The only thing that was slightly strange was that their pizza rolls are wrapped in dough instead of egg roll wrappers, which is not a bad thing, just different! My son had a fantastic time and I was happy to find out that not only do they have bumpers they have a ball ramp which is perfect for little guys who can't quite pick up a ball yet. read more

As far as bowling alleys go, this one is pretty standard. Went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but we had no problem getting a lane or finding balls. However, the staff was incredibly rude on numerous occasions, specifically the bartender. We waited over an hour for pizza and chicken fingers, and when we asked the bartender about it, he was very rude and offered no apologies. I can understand being busy, but over an hour is excessive, and we would have liked some knowledge of the wait time upon ordering. The attitude we received was not necessary. Bowling was fine, not an avid bowler but go 4-5 times a year. Ball selection is pathetic (my fault for not having own ball) very old balls to choose from. Bar and counter staff is horrible. Two horribly ignorant and terribly slow bartenders. It was a Saturday during skaraoke so there was probably 8 people at the 12ft. long bar with two staffed bartenders. Waited 15 minutes (with two of us strategically located to try to get drinks) as "bartenders" would walk by making no eye contact, saying you're next or be right with you. When they looked up they'd point and say who's next so they're too inept to remember of 8 customers who have been waiting therefore bypassing people. So I decidedly joking to raise my hand and I was scolded by a mid 20 yo, average looking below average customer service person and told, "were doing the best we can if we're taking too long you don't have to wait and can go somewhere else." I responded; "I understand as a previous bartender on Chippewa a decade ago that two bartenders serving 8 customers can be overwhelming but there's a reason due to your skills and attitude you're working at a bowling alley bar on a Saturday and if you hate your job maybe you should be the one who quit." Not my best moment and could/should've handled it better but if raising my hand was offensive to a person who didn't have the decency to look at a customer or do her job for 15 minutes she's in for a rough go of it when she gets a real job outside of the bowling alley dealing with the real world. So anyway we ended up ordering from the cocktail waitress who was gracious but also had to bowl in size 13.5 size shoes. Open bowling was 930-3 we got there at 940 and I wear size 10.5-11 shoes and I was told I had to choose either size 9 or 13.5. Once again guess my fault for not owning own ball, shoes and bring my own beers. Won't be surprised if this place closes or changes owner/management soon since after talking to other customers the place has gotten worse since current manager/staff that came the last months fired people who were there 20+ years. So disgusted with this place. Checked pricing online before hand and it said daytime bowling prices per person and the night bowling was simply priced 3.75 per game from 5-9. We arrived at about 7 and had to wait 35 minutes for a lane and we're told to find a seat and wait and then we're told to leave the table we were at and stand because someone else needed it. Then when we were finally buzzed and went to the counter the prices were so far away and impossible to see I SPECIFICALLY ASKED "is it 3.75 per game or 3.75 per person per game?" The man replied "3.75 per game". I said oh ok we're going to play 3. The man then told me I needed to pay for my shoes now and pay for the games after. I paid and played my 3 games and went to pay and left. I didn't realize until I got home that they charged me $33 for 2 adults and 1 child for 3 games. I'm so disgusted that I specifically asked the pricing and was lied to by the website and the employee and ended up paying $45 after shoes, 3 games and a pitcher of pop. And the fact that they make you pay after is like they do it on purpose to rip people off. After talking to other people about this I know a few other people this happened to where the asked the same thing and got the same response. Just disgusted. We could have went to sky zone for the same price and had way more fun. read more

I'll tell you from personal experience the kitchen is revolting. Not that your food would come out on time or at all. The bartending is beyond lack-luster and they're frankly rude. They couldn't make a decent Manhattan. When I asked for another, my partner over heard the bartender Liz tell the server to tell me to f*** off, he watched her put more ice in it and send it back. When I had the same women as a server I observed her talk on the phone for 10 minutes as I awaited my drinks.
