Great service, skills and chat - even when you're hungover and getting a cut! All 3 are popular so you need to book in advance. As long as they stay whenever the next re-brand happens I'll be happy. Stack load of women's magazines to choose from if that's what you like. Comfortable waiting area.

A friend suggested I visit Krosbie Hairdressing which is local to me so I thought I'd give it a shot. I had recently cut five inches off of my hair after my wedding and had the urge to cut it a bit shorter. Krosbie Hairdressing gave me the experience I was looking for. I made an appointment and was told I'd be seeing Robert. Although I arrived a little early, he was ready to begin our appointment and sat me down to talk to me about what I'd like to do with my hair. He looked at it, examined what had been done recently, asked me questions about the color I had and when it was done. I explained all I wanted was for it to be shorter, obviously healthier, and for me to still be able to throw it up in a pony tail if I felt like I didn't want to fuss with it on any particular day. I was seated promptly for a wash and a really good conditioning (which my hair needed). The girl shampooing and conditioning my hair was friendly, appropriate and the water was the perfect temperature. After my hair was clean and conditioned, Robert began working his magic on my hair. He removed all the damaged, leveled my hair out (after showing that the last person who cut my hair was a bit careless and had some drastic differences in length - NOT to be confused with layers). He used products on my hair and explained what he was doing every step of the way which is important when you're new to a place and slightly nervous about a new salon and stylist working on your hair. He did a quick blowdry and straightened a few sections and once he was done, I had smooth, sleek, very stylish and healthy hair - exactly what I wanted without having the words to express it. A wash, cut and blowdry cost 46 pounds - a bit more than I was prepared to pay but I happily paid it. From now on, I'll skip the blowdry to save me a few pounds (unless, of course, it's an extra special day) and make sure to visit Robert regularly. It's not easy to gain my trust when it comes to my hair but it was a really easy and pleasant experience at Krosbie. Leave your coffee and tea at home, too - you'll be offered a beverage when you walk in. Great experience and I'm surprised no one has reviewed it thus far - try it!

On entering the salon we were greeted by the ebullient Mr Robert Kane Simon, who cordially introduced himself to my guests and then invited Rima to the chair where he does his materpieces on various clients. Firstly , he asked whether she preferred tea or coffee, he then examined her hair and decided how best to proceed to create another of his masterpieces. He offered advice and suggestions to Rima, who agreed wholeheartedly with Robert and then he proceeded to design her hair. It was a work of art when finished, as he worked tirelessly for an hour, talking with Rima and explaining every step of the way what he was proposing to do. Once finished she could not believe she was the same person, she looked fantastic. Then he started on the 8 year olds hair - Ishayu and explained to Rima what he proposed and made him look fantastic. He talked to him throughout and at the end the little boy's face lit up in delight. What a charming fellow this Mr Robert Kane Simon is , he is well known in the profession and if you are able to make an appointment with him, you will not be disappointed, he is one of the greatest hairdressers in the country . My hair was done by the guy I'm guessing owns this branch. He is a nice Italian gentleman who provides you with tea or coffee and a good chat. He gave me lots of ideas of things that could be done to my hair- highlights to accentuate the colour, a full head of colour in my natural shade to hide old colour growing out, and never cut anything without checking it was what I wanted. I like the fact that, although he recommended I use a heat treatment on my hair, he did not try and sell me any products. Both times I have received many compliments after my haircut. It may not seem like a trendy or fashionable place to go but at least you know exactly what you're paying (rather than from £xx).

I went to Yu N May to get YUKO done on my hair. I had YUKO done before but wanted to find somewhere…read morethat was closer to home and Yu N May was, plus it was much cheaper. All I can say is WOW! They were amazing! They used ALL YUKO products and I was guided through the entire process. After trying a new place a few months before whom were awful and not even YUKO qualified, I made sure I done my research this time and confirmed with the YUKO Academy in London that Yu N May are quialified and they also buy there products directly from them. My hair was left feeling silky smooth and in much better condition. I was told to not wash my hair for 24 hours at least but I washed it about 3 days later just to make sure :) The result was beautiful, silky, and most importantly, straight hair! I do not like to leave a negative reviews but i have decided to do it this time. It has been almost…read more5 months since i had a "sombre" done in this place. Or what supposed to be a sombre. They have been quite lucky that i was going away very next day for a month. Otherwise i would go back there to ask for a refund as i would definitely not let this lady to touch my hair again for any correction. Basically the outcome was a very obvious blocks of stripes with an ugly line between blond ends and a dark top. Left side was not event with a right side. My hair has been bleached already before at the ends therefore i was highly surprised when she put a bleach all over it for same amonut of time as to the rest of my hair. I said nothing thinking that she must jnow what she is doing as she is charging a lot! I was very wrong. The good job she did was a camouflage that has covered mostly all this terrible job at first. I was not very impressed from the beginning but... i only saw how bad it is when i washed my hair being on holiday already. The camouflage got rised out and i have been left with a horroble yellow uneven stipes that meant to be a gentle highlights. I had to go to cut off about 2 cm sytaight away otherwise i wasn't able to cope with this hair. i had an amazing time on holiday for 4 weeks all my anger just disappeared and i have decided just let it go without making complaints. However i just recently went to a different salon first time after this incident and the lady confirm that it was not overdramatising and that a very poor job was done on my hair. I have seen thst Saks Harrow have a good reviews???. Maybe i was just unlucky. However please be aware of what happened to me. Just sayings. I am a real customer and this review is not fake.
