I asked him to pull forward a little bit so I can get into the plaza and he proceeds to tell me that that is HIS parking spot and he will not inch forward. He called me crazy and pulled out his phone threatening to call the police and started recording me. This guy is so crazy?? Like I'm literally trying to go to YOUR WORK PLACE to provide by business and you're literally blocking me from doing so. He had the audacity to get angry and call me crazy like 15 times for just pulling into the plaza. Another lady comes out and asked what happened and when I asked if he can move his car forward a bit she just stood there. This guy just kept yelling that I was crazy and was humiliating me telling me to go around his car. It literally took like 10 minutes and backing up 8 times into traffic just to get into this plaza because this guy wouldn't move like 6 inches forward. Do not come here, you will be disrespected, humiliated, and upset. You know what the kicker is? When I finally got around his car, this guy still had at least 2 feet in front of his car in his parking spot to pull forward. There were also 2 more parking spots in front of the one he was in. I even provided screenshots from my dash cam. Eventually I got around his card and went and picked up what I needed, but you know what? No one in the office said anything so I'm assuming that this is normal behavior for him and he's probably the owner of the firm. Save your money and go to somewhere else with more professional accountants. For all of you that want to watch the videos let me know and I'll send them to you! I have them all recorded on my dash cam showing how crazy this guy is.

Unfortunately, she eventually left, started her own firm, and later moved to Texas. After she left, we continued with Smart Tax & Accounting. For Tax Year 2022 we met with Liv, and unfortunately, that experience was not great. She may have been new at the time, but there were several mistakes, so we requested to work with someone more senior. We were then assigned to Tai, and for Tax Years 2023 and 2024 everything went smoothly. He was responsive and generally took the time to explain things clearly when we had questions. However, our experience during the most recent tax season (Tax Year 2025) was disappointing enough that we've decided to end our relationship with the firm. One issue involved Roth conversion planning. We asked Tai to run some numbers because we were considering doing a conversion this year. The calculations he provided contained several errors. When I pointed them out, he reran the numbers, but the revised version still contained mistakes. For something involving tax planning, accuracy in these calculations is obviously very important. Another concern was his comment that we shouldn't provide our mortgage statements because he didn't want to run the itemized deduction forms since we would "most likely" take the standard deduction. My understanding is that they charge based on the number of forms filed, but it didn't make sense to me not to run the itemized calculation at all. Even if it's unlikely, the numbers should still be checked to confirm which deduction is actually better. Overall, the process this year just didn't feel as thorough as in prior years. For example, there was no discussion about our charitable contributions, and we also weren't consulted about when our federal tax payment would be withdrawn. We eventually realized that the payment was scheduled for April 15 after not seeing a withdrawal for several days. Personally, I would have preferred the payment to be made when the return was filed, but we were never asked. In the end, there were simply too many issues this year for comfort. Our taxes are not particularly complicated, which made the experience even more surprising. Because of that, this will be the last year we use Smart Tax & Accounting. Hopefully the firm improves its review process and communication for future clients.

He tries to help you out and is very patient. Also he explains everything to you if you have any questions or concerns. There have been times where we'd go near closing and he would stay open late for us, sometimes past 7pm. He has nothing to hide and you're able to see everything he types in, he'll show you on the screen every step of the way. He's really friendly and will joke around with you to lighten up the mood cause everyone dreads doing taxes in fear of having to cough up money to uncle Sam :( We have referred lots of family and friends here they love him as well! His service fees are very reasonable and cheaper than h&r block and other places we've been to in the past.
