He verbally berates and psychologically abuses his patient's. Dr. Simpson only cares if you have insurance so he can pull the AMA playback (to rack the insurance company) and he goes way beyond his purview. What is beyond his purview: Telling a patient when to have their eyes examined, when to have their teeth cleaned, when to have their dentures checked, when to see their neurologist, when to see their ENT, and various other specialists. If you do "not" have insurance Dr. Simpson could give a damn about you. He fills the prescriptions and that's it. No physical exam and no blood work. NOTHING - NADA His "so-called" office staff are dumber than a box of rocks. My family has already been looking for a new PCP, but, unfortunately, on this last appointment Dr. Simpson stormed into the room beyond furious and started verbally berating and psychologically abusing us. Dr. Simpson, the bully, was yelling and dictating at the top of his lungs; "We need to find a new doctor as we are too difficult to get along with. Your family causes too much trouble in this office." Clearly and concisely, Dr. Simpson is a complete bold face liar. After the complete screaming match we had because we were not going to take his abuse nor his unprofessional and inappropriate behavior, all of a sudden Dr. Simpson did a complete 180° degree turn-around and wanted to hug us saying; "Oh, no, I don't want to lose your family as patient's." WTF - He needs serious therapy!!! Let me state clearly, that I was "not" the patient he was seeing that day, however, Dr. Simpson began to inappropriately touch me. Yes, I am a woman and first he hugged me but then he was putting his hands on my shoulders, arms, hands, knees, thighs, calves, and finally rubbing my back. Yes, I absolutely began to back away from him as I was mortified by his behavior as well as feeling extremely uncomfortable. What the HELL is wrong with him? Way out of line!!! Inappropriate touching!!! Honestly, it was creepy and perverted. Dr. Simpson should be utterly ashamed of himself for touching a woman in such a disgraceful and inappropriate manner. After all that BS, he finally filled the prescriptions and we left the office. WE WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK To this day we still don't know what in the HELL we did wrong to have Dr. Simpson go completely unhinged but if that is his demeanor we do "not" want any part of it. Although, we did question his yearly patient paperwork which had inappropriate questions and we refused to answer many of them. As patient's we have rights!!! Rights to answer questions that are valid regarding a doctor-patient relationship and rights "not" to answer questions that are completely inappropriate or asinine. (i.e. Do we own a fire arm? Do we have a smoke detector? Do we have a carbon monoxide detector? Do we wear our seat belts?) Once again, this is beyond Dr. Simpson's purview. How we live our lives outside his office is absolutely NONE OF HIS DAMN BUSINESS!!! If that is what made Dr. Simpson go completely looney-tunes then he needs help. Dr. Simpson needs to realize that he is just a PCP and nothing more than that. Our family truly believes what has upset Dr. Simpson the most is there is over 60 years of medical experience in our family. We are definitely knowledgeable and know when a doctor, nurse, or PA is full of it. Making the wrong diagnosis, prescribing the wrong care, the wrong medication, etc. We call them out and lay it on the line - no B.S. AGAIN, WE WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK & WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DR. SIMPSON TO ANYONE This review is solely based on our family's personal experience with Dr. Simpson and his unqualified office staff. Any response from Dr. Simpson is 100% superfluous. He is unashamedly money hungry, wanting to do a colonoscopy every year. I mentioned that I was still taking indigo for my UC when we were already out in the hallway. He laughed at me and asked the doctor who was standing next to him if he ever heard about it. It's the best medication I've used so far and I don't even have to go through other people to get it. I had a great gastroenterologist not long before him, unfortunately for me he retired. After one of my colonoscopies, they sent a bill for $800 for labs for the polyps. After a million calls to them, one of the staff talked about it on the phone with me and said that next time, I need to tell them at the clinic to only use providers that are covered by my insurance. Be ready for 3 bills in addition to the $1000 that you have to pay upfront for each colonoscopy. I switched to a doctor who does their colonoscopies at Memorial Endoscopy Center. The total for everything ended up being like $1500 with them. With Khandawalla, I had to pay $2200. I did see Dr. Thompson first but only went to him once because he was rude and not at all delicate about my prognosis. That was hands down the worst bedside manner I've ever received. But Khandawalla was pretty rude and annoying too. The front desk staff care more about the socializing they are doing with each other than about talking to patients. They are stiff necked while interacting with patients.

I have been to his office twice in the last month and while he is never there since he's primarily at the hospital, his PA Joyce is very kind and she takes good care of their patients. When I was in the hospital, Dr. Haddad was very good about taking the time to explain things to me and when I had to go back to the hospital for an Endoscopy, Dr. Haddad took great care of me during my procedure. I met with Dr. Shae Sloan in mid-March in the Woodlands office. She is an associate with Dr. Lowe…read more I had my left knee scoped by Dr. Lowe in 2015 to repair meniscus in Medical Center. Both Dr Lowe and Sloan did fantastic jobs! I am now having issues with my right knee. Office was quick to get me in on time and Dr Sloan was fantastic with evaluation. She determined that gel injections would be a good first step for both knees and will continue to evaluate the right knee and repair meniscus mid-year if MRI calls for it. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Sloan which is why I drove to the Woodlands rather than the medical center location. Highly recommend Dr. Sloan!

To say that Walter Lowe is arrogant, deceitful, short-tempered, vulgar and litigious would be way understating how he treated me. The next thing I knew, one of his attorneys contacted me, telling me never to try to contact Walter Lowe again. Years later I was able to talk to Lowe again, once again begging for an examination and help. He blasted me with more four letter words and hate than I hate heard in my entire life. I am begging you to avoid this man and his company. I'm sure when things go well, he is very pleasant. But trust me when I say that when one of his doctors injures you, he is a litigious, deceitful, vulgar monster, who will lie to your face, and then turn you over to one of his fast-talking attorneys. My wife called Dr. Kaplan's office on my behalf reporting a lingering cough. His office scheduled…read moremy appointment (which indicates to me that this is something he can evaluate and treat). Arrived for the scheduled appointment and had a 30 minute wait (not surprising). Spent a total of 5 minutes or less answering a few questions. He did not even look at my throat, but ordered an x-ray. Ended up going to another doctor (ENT), who took care of the problem. I paid for the x-ray, but refuse to pay for his "screening office evaluation". His office should have never scheduled this appointment in the first place. I made it clear to his billing office, in writing, that I have no intention of paying this bogus bill and why. Now he is chasing me for the $185 bill via a 3rd-party collection agency. You should get a bill from me for the 2+ hours of my time. Well, Dr. Kaplan can rest assured that he will no longer receive any business from this family or anyone else I can refer away from you. My FICO is 829, and am not the least bit concerned that reporting this unpaid bill to the credit bureaus will have much effect on that.
