The staff are always friendly, the service is prompt, and the prices are excellent. We typically visit during happy hour and get out before things get crazy later in the evening-- take all of the negative reviews with a grain of salt...if you show up drunk or act like an idiot they probably aren't going to be nice to you. This is an old school Bar. More of a Gen X crowd. The food is bar food. It's not fine dining but it hits the spot after a few drinks. The servers are very friendly and it feels like a neighborhood spot. It's a different feel than the breweries in town and that's a nice change. read more

Nice bar north of the city downtown. Completely devoted to Packers/vikings, I'm not sure who's the winner. The various wait staff we had (including Leah) were on the spot. Great drinks too. Absolutely the worst experience -- and judging by the reviews, we're not alone. Should be 0 stars. We were in town picking up my daughter from college and decided to stop into Tony's Packer Bar. Being from Wisconsin, we were excited to check out a place that claimed to offer a "Wisconsin experience." What a joke. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon -- barely a dozen people inside, bar stools mostly empty. The man and woman behind the bar were laughing, clearly not busy. When the bartender asked how he could help us, I simply said that I was looking for something to drink. His response? "I need IDs first." Fine, even though we hadn't ordered anything yet. We handed over our IDs. My daughter's boyfriend, who is 22 and active military, had his ID glanced at and flipped back to him like it was trash. Then the bartender looks at my daughter's -- she turns 21 next month -- and it's fake. Admittedly, not a great decision, but the overreaction that followed was absurd. She wasn't even drinking. Instead of handling it like a professional, the bartender tosses the ID behind the bar and tells all of us to get out or he's calling the police. Over what? We weren't causing trouble. We were just trying to enjoy a quiet afternoon and check out the memorabilia. When I calmly asked what just happened, and if a could get a beer, he started yelled at us and accused me of being condescending -- which I absolutely wasn't. He made reference to me being the dad, and my daughter having a fake id, inferring that I'm some kind of terrible parent. In Wisconsin, this would've been handled with some common sense and human decency. But not here. This place is nothing like a Wisconsin bar. Rude staff, an unnecessarily hostile attitude, and zero hospitality. I wish I had read the reviews before walking in -- they would've saved us the trouble. If you're looking for a true Wisconsin experience, go literally anywhere else. Good luck keeping a business running with that kind of treatment toward guests. read more

Chicken nachos were excellent, the garlic fries were outstanding, and honestly the service was the better than I have had in a LONG time and that was very unexpected for a bar/restaurant. I was denied entrance to Tony's bar due to my body language, which was interesting because I walked into the establishment in the back of a group of people. I never spoke or did anything besides stand by the door. The bouncer/ crackhead had the audacity to tell my group we were thrown out before anyone got more than one step in the entrance. We are all over the age of forty and are from Green Bay Wisconsin, the pure discrimination we felt from the staff aka the loser checking id's at the door was embarrassing for any bar that clima to represent green bay or the packers. Idk how to feel to be honest, the servers seemed really not friendly and looked at me more as a inconvenience rather than a customer. I get it it's a Sunday and all but please make your customers feel welcome, no matter the day. Because a bar is just a bar but the employees who work at the bar make it for what it is. It was sad to see as I'm not a native to the springs and wanted a good experience for my first time at a bar, instead the employees there made me wait 40 minutes to an hour for food and drinks. We love to stop in and grab drinks and some awesome cheese curds. Always hits the spot every time we stop in. No matter how busy, the service is always fast and incredibly friendly. We've stopped in before CC games, date nights, or nights out with friends. Never had a bad experience. The place definitely gives off dive bar vibes in the best way possible. I love the decor here. One day I'll order something other than cheese curds and a drink, but why veer off when you know what makes you happy? We were really excited to try Tony's Bar, but our experience was incredibly disappointing. When we arrived, both of our IDs were checked--my friend is under 21, but we were told it was fine to come in. We sat down and ordered non-alcoholic drinks with no issue. About five minutes later, the staff suddenly changed their mind and said they wouldn't serve us because my friend is underage. Not only was this confusing, but they also tried to charge us for the drinks we barely touched and told us to just "take them with us." To make things worse, the server with blue hair was extremely rude and made several unnecessary comments. Gill, the older bartender with a beard, is a weird guy and wanted to make fun of me for wearing sunglasses inside. Went far enough to tell me, "you know we're inside right?" then go tell 20 something year old girls "I even told him, you know we're inside right?" and laugh with them, while still not serving me. I sat there for 15 min and people came up right next to me after the fact and he served them first. I was super drunk didn't want to look crazy in front of people. He also whispered in the ear of another bartender when he switched off to not serve me because of my sunglasses. I didn't get served until I took my glasses off(after waiting 15 min and seeing other people just pull up next to me and get served). It wasn't a busy moment either they went out of their way to ignore me and serve other people. At the end of the day, gill is either in his early/late 40s or early 50s and still working at Tony's and wants to make fun of me for wearing sunglasses inside. I even confronted him and asked, "why are you so concerned about my glasses?" he wanted to laugh it off and say "I think it's funny" what a bum lmao read more

Enjoyed Tony's on a Monday night. Went there to watch a sports event on their TV, enjoy some beverages and food. All went great. The Sam Adams Ocktoberfest beer on draft was very good. The cheese curds were the best this side of Wisconsin. I really enjoyed their Rueben sandwich! Just right. The service at Tony's was fast and frequent. Several TVs were available throughout the dining room / bar area. The decorations throughout Tony's clearly indicate they love the Green Bay Packers. Fun. Came by as part of a large group from a wedding party and had my legitimate ID confiscated with no explanation. When we offered to involve police and provided alternative proof of identity, the bar manager simply resorted to "I don't care" and threw them back at us. Our group was made up of various military, engineers, and medical professionals with alternative forms of ID. We were polite, friendly, and presented IDs upon request. We left without spending a dime and suggest you do the same. I've never had such a disappointing first impression at a bar in my life. read more

One of the stops we had on the Expecto Event. This bar also serves food. Not a big selection but when you need to balance out your alcohol consumption the food will do. We had the event special drink, not too bad, and ordered he ordered a hamburger with fries and I had the Veggie Hoagie also with fries. Both lacked flavor. His burger lacked flavor and the patty was pretty thin, yes even the vegetarian noticed that. My sandwich really needed something. Maybe a bit more cheese, mushrooms, mayo? Not sure.
