I did take it home and add the milk and this did help. The salad was a true wedge salad and very tasty. I did like that we were given rain checks for the beer that came with our lunch special. The meat was tough and flavorless, likely boiled in too much liquid, and the vegetables were overcooked and mushy. On the bright side, the Bangers and Mash was excellent. The sausages were flavorful and well-cooked, and the mashed potatoes were a highlight. It even came with a nice side of corn. I'd recommend sticking to the bangers if you visit! The place was insanely busy, but the festivities were fun to watch. Dancers and bagpipes were really good! It was too loud to talk and some of the bar patrons were clearly over served. The syrup saved it, but that's saying a lot as it's just syrup... I really was looking forward to the chicken and waffles that used to be here as that was the entire reason for brunch here today, and I'll not order this again if this is what it is now. The steak Benedict was great though and well enjoyed by my wife, she loved it and the steak was perfectly cooked. We've been here 15-20 times and this was the only disappointing time since the ownership change or whatever took place. Unfortunate as we love it here, but this was not at the level it was before.
