I was very disappointed in a locals recommendation, who welcomed and understood my service animal. When I sat down, I was told there was a sign on the door saying no animals, my husband stated that is was a service animal. He was told no animals, no matter what. "A animal is an animal " and there was no sign as we confirmed on our way out. I choose to leave peacefully without incident. I would like to inform the owner that this practice is against the law and protected title I and title II the America's Disability Act (ADA). How have I never been here before? This is right in downtown Seward, next to the brewery. It looks odd from the outside, like you're not supposed to go inside. Go inside. I came here for a concert and had a great time. A slightly older crowd than the other Seward staples (Yukon and Alehouse), but just as fun. Tony's is the perfect hole-in-the-wall dive bar. We were in town for a few days on vacation and are so happy we stumbled across it. There's a huge beer selection, tons of games to play, and ample seating. We also really enjoyed chatting with bartender Levi. I like this bar. It's a dive, the drinks are reasonably priced, and you can get Session Lager. Decent juke, trivia every couple o' Wednesdays, and an attached liquor store so you can have a shot of Crow and a bottle to go. Actually they don't sell Crow in the liquor side. If they did, I'd never buy booze anywhere else. Actually, that isn't true either. I'd still buy booze somewhere else, but only if Tony's was closed. Or if my friends wanted to go somewhere else. Cashier working the night of the 3rd of July 3017 at he liquor store was very rude and gave a sleezy attitude due to not trusting me and my guests IDs which were 100% valid. She should be retrained with customer service skills before handling situations like that. I felt very mistreated as an Alaskan resident. I didn't buy anything due to her attitude which was a unfortunate because I was looking forward to supporting local business that day. read more
