The porthole was great super close to our location that we were taking our cruise from so it worked out perfectly to grab a nice sized breakfast before we hopped on the boat. Breakfast was great. We got the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious. The burritos looked phenomenal as well. This place can get busy there were 20 of us waiting for food, but they were still able to knock everything out fairly quickly. I would just plan accordingly if you're getting on a boat.

As we waited for our food everybody kept ordering the breakfast burrito. The hashbrowns were mostly shredded prices everywhere, not so much cooked together. The buscuits were very soft and the gravy had kind of a weird color to it, almost pinkish, had pepper but overall it was good. The hours are 5am to 2 pm. We didn't have to wait too long for our food maybe 10-15 minutes.

Excellent Food Truck near the docks in Seward. Lots of breakfast and Lunch items that you can grab on the go. We were waiting for a marine tour and picked up the Hamburito and breakfast sandwich with coffee. The prep was quick and the food was excellent from the bread and wrap to the fresh items inside. No issues this was a quick meal and it met the needs. Very good and decently priced. Not much seating other than a picnic table. Condiments on another table. Very friendly staff! No long lines.

Stuff your Porthole reminds me of a mix of a eggs benedits and loco moco mashed together. Warning this is very filling, food coma approaching. I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with chips. A classic setup no suprises here. delicious to the end ordering in person was fast and it took about 10 minutes to get the food I parked on the street, but here is a free lot near by. What a delightful little food truck!! I had the Deckhand breakfast sandwich and my tastebuds were in heaven. It was the perfect breakfast sandwich! My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and said it was delicious and hit the spot. Service was quick and we ended up eating right outside there at the tables they had set up. The light music playing from inside the kitchen truck, with the sun shining on us, was a great ambiance to enjoy our food before heading back home to Anchorage Definitely recommend and we will be back read more

No doubt this convenient food truck has solid breakfast options. I had the open faced avo ans egg toast which was good but I prefer the simple egg muffin with cheese - what they call fhe dinghy. Super simple but perfectly done. read more

Maybe I was a little bit too hungry when I went here, but I would have bought 3 more breakfast sandwiches if I had my way. These people put love and care into their food and you can just taste the difference, from quality to seasoning to presentation. Absolutely wonderful food and pretty good coffee as well. I got the breakfast sandwich and my buddy got the biscuits and gravy, and talk about deliciousness. Both were stellar, 10/10 breakfast food read more

A food trailer near the marina. We went for breakfast, I wasn't impressed. Had to special order to get bacon, mainly sausage was promoted on the limited menu. Other than a breakfast sandwich everything came burrito style. Only 1 picnic table to sit and eat or a make shift table made from a trash barrel and a top. read more

This is a must try when in Seward. The food is absolutely impeccable. Great little food truck, 1000/10 recommend. We ate breakfast so I can't speak for lunch but any spot that has as amazing of breakfast as this place, I'm sure their lunch food is fire. Highly recommend the deckhand (it's a breakfast burger essentially and was the best thing I've ever had) and the breakfast burrito. Going back tomorrow to try the rest because it's so dang good! The Porthole is a great Foodtruck near the boat dock off of 4th Avenue in Seward. We ordered the vegetarian and regular breakfast burritos. Both were delicious and perfect after a late night And needing something hearty, warm and filling. Friendly staff and delicious food. Line was long but didn't wait longer than 10 mins for the food. Pros: Close to fishing docks, can preorder food, people were nice. Cons: the nutella sandwich was like small amount of nutella smeared onto what felt like a hamburger bun, sandwiches were not tasty. Chips were good. Would not recommend for breakfast. read more

Great breakfast sandwiches, I got the Deckhand two days in a row - love the grilled onions and Sriracha mayo. Delicious ham sandwich according to my stepdad. They make lunch to go packs which are ideal for fishing or boating trips, also helps that they open at 4:30 AM. Just a little pricey (Seward prices). Visit: July 3-4 2022. read more

I'm so happy this place exist. All their menu items are amazing and delicious. The most amazing one is though the biscuits and gravy. You can get them with different topping like bacon or sausages. It's perfect breakfast before you go on a fishing trip. Or a nice snack after you return from the trip super hungry. Their service is quick and attentive. They have a small bench table in front of their food truck but no other seating. I just either eat in the car or bring it back to my camp site to enjoy. Whenever I'm in Seward, I try to find a meal time to squeeze it in. You should try them too! read more

As we waited, the lady that was sitting next to us when we sat down, had a god awful amount of perfume on, after a few minutes of choking, we politely as to be moved to another table and were happily accommodated, no hassle at all. I've had Halibut many times in the past, but none have been as delicious as the Garlic Halibut that they serve here. One word, OUTSTANDING!!! The decor inside was beautiful, with a homey wood vibe (see pics). Looking out the front window there was an amazing view of some of the surrounding Mountains. The breakfast wasn't bad but as with other deleted reviews the environment was very uncomfortable because the owner talks crazy politics loudly at the counter nonstop about his support for Israel and the flag next to him. Very unAlaskan crazy man raging to every customer against democrats, against Muslims and that taxes are socialism. Talking a mile a minute. Lecturing everyone at the order counter. All kinds of imagery in restaurant and window. EVERYONE in the place including employees are obviously offended but trapped in Alaska. It's unbelievable. Like how does this place exist?! I watched many people come and go that were shocked by what they had to endure. Will not return.

First time trying Tidewater Taphouse in Seward and honestly, I'd go back. We started with the crab dip and it came out bubbling hot, like actually hot, with plenty of bread for dipping, which I feel like is rare and deserves recognition. Super solid appetizer choice. For mains, we ordered the Bacon Blue Burger and the Alpine Berry Burger. The Alpine Berry was supposed to have a spicy berry jam, and I'll be honest... there wasn't really any spice to it. BUT it was still really good, so no complaints there, just don't go in expecting heat. The space itself is great too, two levels, a bar upstairs, and a back patio that would be such a good spot in the summer. Overall, really good experience for a first visit and definitely somewhere I'd recommend checking out if you're in Seward.

This coffee shop was the most recommended and talked about shop by guides, locals and other shop owners. It obviously is beloved by its community and the line to get coffee spoke to that fact. The coffee was good, the line long, but service was quick and we even got a few take-aways. The ambiance is cute... Is the line worth the wait? I'm torn here. Coffee was good but not necessarily the best, lots of herbaceous drink combos if you enjoy that, other coffees balanced and delicious and the team takes care. However, the space seems overwhelming there are so many people that want to try it and I get why, but the line winds through the tables and there's lots of bumping and crowing in an almost uncomfortable manner which kills a chill morning vibe unfortunately. Baked goods are acceptable but not to die for- though I think maybe this leads back to your & my personal preference, geared toward an earthy pallet. 4 stars for Asthetic and product. They could benefit from an online ordering system or a counter persons who's only job was to get the order quick so guests could wait away from the service area. Too bad the counter for order wasn't near the back, that would fix the flow of the whole store, make it more enjoyable for guests and probably increase sales dramatically. Just a thought. Definitely go, avoid peak hours and order according to your preference so you can enjoy every drop.
