Whenever I visit my mom and family in Delano, we have to stop by Tony's Firehouse for breakfast! I always order the loco moco as it is one of my favorite breakfast dishes from this restaurant! The loco moco comes with white rice, a single ground beef patty, topped with gravy crispy fried onions, and a runny egg. Now I don't know if I noticed this previously but the ground beef patty seemed a bit under seasoned and just could has used a touch more salt and pepper. Yet, the crispy fried onions added to every bite helped bring up the flavor to the ground beef patty. Those crispy fried onions! So delicious! My mom ordered a breakfast plate and I tried a bite of the pancake and it was absolutely delicious and soooo big! Service was great, waitress checked in frequently! The restaurant is very large and spacious! Perfect for large parties! If you are in Delano for breakfast, I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Popped in for late breakfast/early lunch about 10AM on a Tuesday. I sat at a booth, was immediately brought a menu and asked if I'd like coffee, and ordered on her return. Loco Moco with spam instead of burger patties. Came out between 10 and 15 minutes. Short grained rice, 4 slices of spam, to eggs over medium and brown gravy. Tasty and not overly salty. Price was $21. I know, end of 2023 and I'm still not used to new prices, but I get it. The restaurant is set up for large groups, the booths were for 4 comfortable or 6 adults/kids. Most tables were pushed together to accommodate 10. A group of about 25 was meeting on the other side of the restaurant, while 4 or 5 tables were being served. I.ve been eating Tony's pizza forever but this is my first time for non-pizza. I appreciate more traditional breakfast and lunch items as Delano has lots of Mexican eateries and not enough of everything else. read more

Payed a visit here last weekend while traveling from up north. Greeted quickly by staff as we entered the account and had a feeling of appreciation for stopping by. The gentleman working the order counter was very friendly, polite, and helpful with our questions on what services were available with recent Covid modifications being implemented. So we ordered a pizza To Go (would've enjoyed dining in but understand the actions all business are currently forced to take with To Go & Delivery only as options). Everything I've ordered here has been really good. We live north of Delano so we like to order from here because it's an easy access, right off the freeway, place. We get to town, exit on county line and there it is! We can stop and eat inside or grab our food and jump right back on the freeway and head home to eat in the comfort of our home. The pizza is always great, as it is at every one of their locations. I like the restaurant side just as much. They have great breakfast and I love their salads. The Cobb Salad is my favorite. Tony's is also good for parties. They have 2 private party rooms and cute arcade for the kids. Last I checked ALL THE GAMES WORKED!!! Love that lol. The crust on the pizza was thin and crispy. It was oily, but tasted great. We asked about specials and got an XL one topping (pd extra for additional toppings), wedges, and pitcher of soda. There was another family there when we arrived and they have lots of employees. We had order taken quickly, but when I went to the counter to get jalapeños, it took a few minutes. Our first visit was around lunch time and the food was better than expected. Service was good and the prices were in line with the food quality and portions. I have visited this establishment twice now. The first time we came was to check the place out and I have eaten pizza from Tony's more than a dozen times so I thought that I need to try the "Firehouse Grill". I had ordered the loco moco the first time I came, I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think it was gonna be good and they sure surprised me. I like how they added the french fried onions on the top of it, it added more yumminess to the loco moco. I'm happy that Delano is growing and they now have Tony's Firehouse to the list of "go to" eating spots in Delano. Food is good and I'm glad there's a good amount of items on the food menu. The downside, I had recently visited for a birthday party and as far as the "kid area" the arcades are okay. The games do not give out any tickets and some of the machines ate my coins. I think they need to service their arcades. I don't care that tickets don't come out when playing games, but I think they should definitely service the machines because kids are always going to be drawn to this area. They should also have a hand sanitizer stand handy for the kids because kids do all kinds of stuff with their hands and you don't want kids coming back to the table to eat and touch chicken wings/pizza after touching all the arcades/germs. Delano and Tony's Pizza, they go together like peas and carrots. Tony's has always served my favorite pizza and with the addition of the Firehouse grill that hasn't changed one bit. One of the differences between the Firehouse and the famous Tony's on Cecil is definitely space. This establishment is probably double the size of the other. I've gotten the chance to try a few dishes in the last few months. Their burgers are ok, but I'm a pretty harsh grader when it comes to burgers as delano as some wonderful mom and pop shops that offer some awesome burgers. The steaks are tasty and cooked to order. My aunt had the spaghetti on one occasion and it was very mediocre. Now let's talk about the pizza! In my opinion it still is Delano's best pizza, unless we're craving chili verde and a visit to a different place on High st is in store. The Firehouse has a pretty cool bar setup with a few tasty brews on tap plus a couple options on wine. One of the more popular events that take place at Tony's Firehouse are bday parties. Plenty of bday party rooms to host your family and friends. Personally, I think I've attended a handful already. Overall I know this is a welcome addition to Delano. Tony's pizza will always be near and dear to this Yelper. Good thing for me, they have a bunch now located in Bakersfield. But there's no place like home. read more

My family & went to Tony's Firehouse Grill last night and we had a blast. We ordered: Hawaiian, combination & pepperoni pizza. Hot wings Potato wedges Bread sticks Chicken strips And Soda, Beer & Wine This location is huge. Lots of room for big parties and they have a pretty good arcade area for kids. Where do i start! This place was cool because it was something new. The family liked it, and the kids couldn't wait to come back. Now this place is a overpriced non family type of place that thinks pizza should cost 45 dollars! We come to visit family and always loved to come here. Now the games are run down, and broken. We live in Huntington beach and have never paid 45 dollars for a pizza that had beyond well done crust and cheese, and a pizza that could not be pulled a part. It sucks because we really thought this place would be the go to in Delano, but as it has turned out it's just another over priced place with low quality items. We recently celebrated here and it was such a great turn out for the short notice given to Tonys. We called the day before to see if we could use the 'bar' side of the restaurant, which isn't really a bar anymore. We wanted to accommodate at least 40 people and serve finger foods, we called and spoke with Nicole and she figured everything out for us and told us that she was going to be working that day as well to make sure everything was taken care of. I am not lying when I say the staff here at Tonys went above and beyond to make sure that everyone at the party was taken care of. The food was great, the servers were awesome and we really felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. I also wanted to give an update of some of the other dishes I've tried here and would recommend other to try. Menudo. The bowl serving is kind of small but it is just enough and very good! Chiliaquiles are amazing. Chicken fettuccine alfredo is the BOMB!! It's creamy and the chicken has so much flavor! I loved it! Usually have a 20 minute wait time and on weekends or summer sometimes the wait times go up to 40 minutes but that's reasonable due to the fact that their pizza is really good and is always consistent. I always order the same thing so when I'm done they know who it's for already which is pretty impressive since they do have alot of costumers. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the restaurant side or the pizza side. We were confused as we only know that Tony's served pizza but she clarified that the restaurant side has more than pizza; it has appetizers, pizza, sandwiches, pastas, salads etc. it was a good selection and the food was delicious. We went around 2:30pm and we were the only ones there for awhile. Tell us, please, what is it like living in a world where you're faced with the question "Am I going to Tony's for lunch AND dinner today, or just dinner?" every day? I see several mixed reviews, but this is my experience today. Nice, attentive young man at the counter. Clean, fun-looking pizza joint with a big game room off to one end. You don't see legit "pizzas parlors" any more so it's really cool when you come across one. Those of us that grew up in the 70s and 80s remember Friday nights at the loud, crowded, every-table-full pizza place, running back and forth for bites of pizza in between games of PacMan and Asteroids. Delano needed a place to put Denny's and (potentially) Perko's to shame. Remember back in the day when we had other diner choices in Delano (you know, back in the 90s)? We had Pitman's and Perkos and something else? Well, the food here reminded me of those places some of which are long gone because Delano's got a new Walmart. Business was slow when I got here for lunch. Talked to the general manager who let me know they were fairly new and had not done much advertising. Food was definitely good, I think much better quality than Perkos and light years better than anything Denny's or IHOP could churn out. Portions were huge, like really huge, so order wisely. I ordered steak and eggs (I honestly was not expecting much from diner food) and was pleasantly surprised at how well seasoned it was for a cheap steak. My mom ordered the fireman's breakfast. It a stacked plate of eggs, bacon, country potatoes, and a massive pancake. You can't go wrong with that breakfast, just make sure you bring someone else to help you eat it. They were very fatty and baked in the oven, not fried. The service was below average. The waiter never came back to offer drink refills. I had to go to the counter to get one. I truly wish there was a way to not give any stars. Given that this is advertised as "new and hot" by Yelp, we were excited to try it. To begin with, it took them 20 mins to bring out our soda. There are also no refills so if you are thirsty on a hot summer day, you will have to pay extra to quench your thirst. This just goes to show that the owners are trying to make extra money in whichever way they can. Perhaps, they should give their pizza more attention so they can gain customers. Our pizza finally arrived after waiting a long time and it wasn't cooked throughly. we had to ask them to take it back and bake it some more. We will definitely NOT be going back there. It's disappointing that there aren't many nice places in Delano and Tony's could have been our to-go place for not just pizza but other things as well- but nope!
