J&J was contracted by the town of Wallingford to remove a tree in front of my property. When the…read moretree was removed, J&J damaged the lawn in front of my house and just left it that way! They cut the trunk of the tree in such large pieces that when they pushed them to the ground, the pieces left ruts in my yard upwards of 12" deep. I complained to the public works division of Wallingford who said they were going to contact J&J regarding the incident, but that was the last I heard of it. I guess it's time to follow up again.

The bill was cheap enough and I just kept telling my wife yea, yea I will pay it. Guess what... I missed paying it for 2 months and was put on a credit hold. Totally my fault! My wife told me that the trash truck skipped us today. I immediately told her I will look into it (after all I couldn't tell her I was a moron and never paid the bill). I quickly went online and paid the bill because I figured the truck would magically come back, get my trash like it never happened and I could look like a hero to my wife...Wrongo! I called the office and sheepishly told the young lady that I just paid my bill and could you have the truck come back. She said she will call the truck to see if he was still in the area. She called me back and (it was like waiting for the verdict in a murder trial) said he was on the other side of town and could not get back today. She pleasantly told me that if I left my trash out next Tuesday they would get it then(I normally get picked up on Thursdays). In the real world a guy would thank his lucky stars and say thank you... but not this guy. I said that there wouldn't be anyone around to put the trash out and the cover was being held open due to the amount of trash I stuffed in it. She put me on hold and came back in a minute and said someone would be by in a while to get my trash with a pickup truck. To make this long story short, a gentleman showed up a few minutes later and put all my trash in his truck while smiling the whole time. He then had the nerve to wheel my trash bin up the driveway and put it back where it belonged!! What I witnessed today was nothing short of great customer service from a company who had every right to say "we will get it next week" but they went the extra mile to make a customer happy. After my experience I wouldn't switch companies if the new service was free! Thank you.

I recently moved to Southington and selected this company for my trash removal. When I called to…read morestart my service I was told that the first bulk pick up would be complimentary and if I chose to use the service again after that there would be a fee. I called back to schedule my bulk pick up for 7/11 and was told it would cost me $75. I then received two bills in the mail from them. One was for $71 dated July another was for $121 date June. This was clearly a mistake as my services didn't being until July. I had to call this company to clarify at which point I was told it was a billing error and I was only responsible for the $71. My trash pick up is scheduled for Tuesdays. I put my bulk and trash out on Tue 7/12. The bulk was picked up however my trash was not. I again put my trash and recycling out. The recycling was picked up but the trash wasn't. I left a voicemail, no call back. I wrote an email. I called, and called and called and no answer. I would rather put my garbage on my back and walk in to the dump in 100 degree weather than use this company.

After 3 hours of trying to get some kind of communication, they showed up 5 hours late. With a pretty small trailer for the job. Though they did work quickly, I ended up with a lot of broken glass in my driveway. And the job ended up costing almost double what I expected.
