My husband and I are (were) frequent shoppers of Tommey tools. However my last two visits we were unprofessional and the cashier was rude to us and we have had conversations with her about our Vacations and kids and everything. However, we stopped at 457pm to get propane for our generator for the approaching hurricane "Milton" and she refused to service us. My daughter has to do her dialysis at home and we need the propane for our generator to sustain her life. The employee told my husband "I have things to do too." This is not the first time she closed early. It's quite often. If your hours are 8am -5pm and posted you should not closed your doors and gate at 430 and 445. We have gone by at least 10 times around these times and the store was closed! read more

This is a very, very cool store. It's kind of a mash up of an older general store and 21st century technology. You can pick up and special order lumber of any size and quantity. Then there's also your basic hardware items that you might find. Add in riding jumbo lawnmowers and bicycles. Are you going fishing? You can get all the tackle, bait and supplies that you might need for that also. They have the coolest and most popular knives for hunting, fishing and self defense. Which reminds me you can also pick up other self defense items too. Remember those "you had to have it" jokes as a kid? The fake dog poop, spicy hot gum, the buzzer in the palm of your hand? They still have a whole rack of them! They'd make great stocking stuffers for a new, younger generation. I can't wait to go back!!! read more

I called this establishment and asked them very nicely since they close at 5 o'clock if they would hold closing for a minute or two if I arrive at 4:59 to buy a couple parts from them I was told over the phone by an employee she could not guarantee that. I arrived at the property at 4:56 the manager and two women were outside locking the door trying to leave EARLY after I had just talked to them and explained I was on my way!!simply put this goes to show they do not have any respect for their customers or somebody making a simple yet reasonable request for the rest of my life I will never spend a dollar ever again there . Was looking for a riding mower and stopped in this place 3 times. First time no one was available. Stopped back by and they were closed at 4:45 despite the sign that said 5:00PM. Next time I called and no one answered. I went to Mikes Lawnmower instead and bought my mower. It's a wonder this place is still in business. read more

My friend from Belleview recently went to this store for assistance for a lawn mower blade. (The older owner) was nice at first by letting her know that she did not need a serial number for her blade as they can look it up. With that being said, afterwards, that owner came out from the back room and mentioned to her that IT IS their policy to have a serial number and that she was not welcome here and to not come back! She was frightened and shocked! She asked the receptionist, "What just happened"? She just shrugged her shoulders and just said that that was one of the owners. I do not live in Florida, but just a warning, to not buy from these rude people, find another lawn and hardware store such as Buchalla, who in turn, not only did not require a serial number but gave the best service and provided her what she needed without being so rude. Customers need to be treated with dignity and respect. That owner did not and yelled at her for no reason. read more
