Dr. Sylvia is amazing at educating and balancing the body. She is gentle and really cares about the treatment that provided each session. I'm always asking questions about the points she targets and she explains to me the why behind each one. The staff is very friendly, nice, and willing to help when needed. I had gotten acupuncture in my neck about 15 years ago never thought about it for my wife after her stroke in September 2023. I saw Dr. He three years ago for fibroids, and she was the worst doctor I have ever seen. Her medical skills were not impressive. During the appointment, she spent over an hour trying to sell me Nu Skin health supplements. She showed no real interest in addressing my medical condition; instead, her main focus seemed to be making money by pushing Nu Skin products onto patients. It was a very unpleasant experience, and even now, just thinking about it makes me feel uncomfortable. TL;DR: It's worth every minute, penny, and consideration if you are plagued by migraines. _______________________________________________ I went to see Sylvia for migraines. I have done the whole thing with neurology treatments - preventatives, PRNs, botox injections, maintenance, massage, exercise, eating healthy, etc. While helpful, it only got me down to having mostly headache days versus full-blown migraines every day, which is progress but still frustrating as someone who tries to do all the things to prevent them. I have had acupuncture before for musculoskeletal and nerve pain from athletic injuries with fantastic success - really the only thing that has alleviated pain when doctors were considering surgery. Sylvia's team got me in the day after I called - on a Saturday no less. I arrived and the staff was friendly, kind, and made sure I felt comfortable as I waited for Sylvia. She came in and talked with me. Among the many things I appreciated about my visit, these were the major selling points for me: 1. She listened. If you have been to doctors for chronic pain, this alone is so crucial. 2. She educated me, telling the what, why, how, and when of the medical issue as well as the treatment plan. 3. She is mindful of my money. I don't throw around $125 lightly, and Sylvia makes it very clear she does not charge that "because she can" or because I am just a number walking into her office. She made her philosophy of wanting patients to come less and therefore pay less very clear. If she can help me in one session, great, she's happy. The 1st time I visited Dr. Sylvia was in 2019. I was having severe upper right back/shoulder pain for months at this point. Every time I tried to move it jerked me back like a spasm. I tried massages and kneading however, this was only making it worse. Sylvia did absolute wonders on me. She worked on me for 2 hours plus because she said, "I really want to help you". NO DR. IN MY LIFETIME HAS EVER SAID THAT TO ME! Here we are in 2023 and I have never had this pain again. Moving on to 2020, days before the covid/Plandemic lock down I had an accident where I broke my ankle in 3 places, fractured my shin and dislocated my foot. Literal got out of the hospital on February 15, 2020. I was not working so no insurance. I couldn't go to physical therapy because of the lockdown and hospitals were a scary place. At this point I became the 247 Caregiver for my mom. Life was tough and I just dealt with it. In March of 23, I went to Dr, Sylvia in hoped that she could help me because at this point no one else could. I had what I now know is Neuropathy. My feet stinging all the time, feet turning blueish. I was miserable. I spent almost 3 hours in her care, had over 100 needles in both of my legs and feet because it had come down to a circulatory problem now. I also got some herbal powder to take for all issues and it has helped me tremendously! I actually lost 12 lbs in the 1st week and a half. My ankle size went from a 12 to 9 inch (today is 7 inches). I felt more energy and more alive to be able to help my mother without the constant need to sit and rest. I know this review is too long , but I want to let everyone know that if she helped me with so many other issues that are not mentioned here, she can do wonders for you. This may sound silly to some but I am a firm believer in God and when she was holding both my feet in her tiny hands I felt warmth and said to her "I feel like God is holding my feet" and she said "I know" and chuckled. I went to see Dr. Sylvia to promote speedy healing after my hip replacement surgery. Twas a remarkable first session! I've been around acupuncturists enough to appreciate skill, expertise and caring. This was truly one of the best sessions I have ever had. She took the time to carefully listen to my interests in surgical recovery and she also examined me from a holistic energetic perspective - which I also wanted. Starting with the tongue! I was told I needed surgery on my knee and and I have been only 3 times and the pain and swelling has gone down significantly and more likely an overall body issue more than just the knee which surgery would not have addressed. I got in right away and the amount of time she takes with me is amazing.
