He recently…read moreperformed preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems at our school, and I was really impressed with how honest, thorough, and transparent he was throughout the entire visit. Our last documented preventive maintenance had been done several years ago by another company, and Ray's service was noticeably more comprehensive. In addition to replacing the filters and cleaning the evaporator coils, he also cleaned the condenser coils, checked and flushed the condensate drain lines, inspected the electrical components and thermostats, evaluated airflow, checked and replaced capacitors as needed, and performed a complete system check on all of our units. What I appreciated most was that Ray took the time to show me what he was finding and explain what needed to be done and why. There was no pressure and no feeling that he was trying to sell us unnecessary work. The difference in the level of detail and care was obvious. Ray was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We feel much more confident about the condition of our HVAC systems and will definitely be using Air Now Heating & Cooling again. He also installed a new cleanout/access valve on the condensate line, which should make future maintenance much easier. What impressed me most was that he went the extra mile and checked the entire drainage setup. He noticed dark buildup inside the small tubing near our sink, removed and thoroughly cleaned it, and then reconnected the tubing much more efficiently. The previous setup had excess tubing that was bending/kinking, which may have contributed to the drainage problem. Jay took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire visit. He replaced my filters, walked me through what caused the problem, and gave me some helpful advice (and a little lecture ) about maintenance and things I can do differently to help my system last longer. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He explained that he can get my AC fixed and running today, but because of the age and condition of the system, it would probably make more sense financially to start thinking about replacing it rather than continuing to put money into repairs. A huge thanks to Anthony and Tiffany for coordinating all the logistics, Anthony in particular was so helpful from start to finish, always available, responded immediately to any question, and just made the whole process incredibly easy. An especially big thanks to our installer Bobby and his crew who did such an exceptional job carefully removing the old system and doing a beautiful install of the new one. They also completely reworked the AC closet, moving the system forward and sealing everything off cleanly, what was once a poorly converted linen closet now has potential for usable space behind it. Whereas the old system sounded like a jet engine taking off, the new Mitsubishi is astonishingly quiet, the condenser is outside our bedroom and you hear literally nothing. It works flawlessly and has been keeping the house perfectly cool through what's shaping up to be a hot summer. This was not an easy install either. The house, like many older homes, is full of quirks and Diamond did an amazing job working around all the pitfalls that come with squeezing a central HVAC system into a house not originally designed for one.
