Ray was in such a hurry to diagnose a thermostat problem he failed the care needed to complete the job properly. Granted he was working under the guide lines of Select Home Warranty. That Home Warranty Co also impeded the proper diagnoses & replacement of a thermostat correctly. I needed a thermostat that would control my A/C, Heating & Air Cleaning system automatically. He left it up to me to send in pictures requested by the Warranty Co. (He knew they wanted) I had to do that myself in order to have the claim verified. Neither Ray nor Select Home informed me they had aurhorized the claim. When I finally reached out to both parties, I was informed the technician Ray was supposed to contact me for the replacement. Weeks later Ray came to my home to install what was supposedly aurhorized by the SHW Co. Instead of giving me a programable thermostat, ( which was suppose to be comparable with the old thermostat) Ray installed a lesser adequate thermostat. It was manual only & did not control my air cleaning cycle. So because he told SHW IT WORKED, my claim was closed & I'm left buying the proper thermostat on my own so that the medical air cleaning system will function. They're lucky I didn't go to the hospital with Respiratory Failure due to the air cleaning system not functioning because of both parties neglect! I would have sent them the medical bills & lawyer fees for their neglect! No I would not recommend Air Now Heating & Cooling, not because if his skills, but because of his lack of paying attention to details, also for the reason he tried to up sell me a thermostat installation outside of my warranty company before authorization was granted. read more

I had some work done by them, and was very satisfied with the job. He tried the lower cost fix first, and when that didn't work he diagnosed the problem quickly, and discounted the final fix by giving half credit for the cheaper initial fix attempt (which was nice and fair). My HVAC system ended up needing a new compressor, and he was able to help me get a warranty replacement since my unit was still within the warranty period. Ended up saving me $1300, which again was nice! Getting the refund from Ferguson (local supplier for Trane products) was a pain and took forever, but that's not on Air Now. I was having issues with the AC thermostat at my office and did some research online and found Ray. A/C stopped working when the temp was over 100 degrees on Saturday. I called 5 A/C contractors and had an appt for 2, one on tues and one on weds. The other 2 contractors told me 2 weeks before they could come out so I didn't bother. I called Air Now and Ray gave me an appointment Sunday. Few hours later he called back and said he had an opening tonight and arrived 7pm. We are grateful he was willing to come out a day earlier than our appointment day and at a time most contractors stop working. The issue was fairly common so he had the part on his truck and was able to get the A/C running within 30 minutes. He also spent some time explaining some things to us as well.
