She supposed to open at 9, we got there before 9, and she never even frickn get there till 930 lol however, she was umm limping, and had bandage on her leg. I asked what happened, she said they was late cuz her leg, she had to go do something. She had sciatic nerve or something. Hope she feels better. But her nail lady was in, so got to do my nails with her nail lady and Tina did my eyebrows. Being that we got there at opening, wasn't that busy. One by one people slowly came in one at a time. I came here yesterday on November 16, 2025. I usually like to go to Mytan for a haircut but yesterday my bf wanted to cut his hair too and was very familiar with the barber at this location so I decided to give this place a chance because how hard can a haircut be right to just thin out my hair? The lady who cut my hair was the lady who welcomes everyone and leaving and cuts hair on chair 1 by the register. Anyways I specifically asked for my hair to be thinned out and for only two inches to be cut off. I even showed her the exact length with my fingers, and she agreed. However, once she began cutting, I couldn't see myself in the mirror because the chair was positioned too low. By the time she was halfway done and started straightening my hair, I realized she had cut off at least five inches. Half of my hair was gone. I was so mad I immediately stood up and asked why she cut so much when I clearly asked for just two inches. Her response was that my hair was "dead and damaged." Whether my hair was damaged or not, that wasn't what I asked for. I wanted to keep my length--especially because I was planning to color my hair this upcoming Saturday, and now it won't look how I intended. She kept on insisting that my hair was so bad that she needed to do that and she also told me i should consider not coloring my hair anymore. I was crying so much in the car because it took me months to even grew out my hair that long. I am not happy at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! $55 for a haircut was crazy! I got my nails done here. price was as expected to get them done. (around $60 something) it came out okay. but when i went to take them off it cost me about $40 something. i didnt understand why it cost so much to remove. it took over an hour half just to remove & then they asked if i wanted it cut my nails i said thats fine not thinking it was gonna be a charge. then they add a clear coat. they dont even tell you the prices of whatever it is that they try to add on nor is there the things they "add on" on the board so you dont know how much its gonna cost. i only gave them 3 stars because my nails came out okay. read more

So we've visited this place a few times. Myself, my other half and my children all gotten haircuts there from a man I believe is chair 3 or maybe 4 one of those. Anyways back to my complaints... Came here today 03-19-23 and got my hair washed and cut but the lady that welcomes everyone and cuts at chair 1 right by the register. The washing of my hair was great not sure she does it for everyone but she threw in a small massage at the end so that was cool. When it came to cutting my hair I've showed her a picture to see if she could cut my bangs like it. She told me sure yea no problem. I didn't get any bangs!! She also took off 2-1/2 to 3 inches off my hair after I told her I don't want it short just a. Trim off my layers and to please leave the length! After I told her that she said no no I didn't take much off when I looked at the floor it looked like you can make another head of hair (wig) omg I am not happy and may not ever bring myself or my family here again! read more

People who own the place are nice. Most workers there give above average haircuts and are very open to conversations.

Everytime I come in here to see Christina because she always does a good job on the waxing and cleaning of my eyebrows. She wax, shape, trim & plucks. She always takes her time & values her work. I can see why there are a lot of people that comes in to see her for their eyebrows. Same goes for her husband. My boyfriend loves goin to him for his haircut because he knows exactly how my boyfriend wants his cut & he lines up all his sides really sharp. The only thing I think they should work on is.. not talking in their language so much around customers. For me personally, I really don't care because I come in so often & I know that she and her husband are very kind people and they don't mean no harm, but others such as new customers might think otherwise. Location: This salon is located in a old run down shopping center across from Mayor Rights Housing and Jack in Box. There is a lot of parking but the parking spaces are small. Service: This is a full salon offering haircuts, color and styling for men and women, waxing, manicure, pedicure and even foot massages. My mom sees Tina for a haircut and eyebrow wax a few times a year. I decided to give Tina. I picked a layered hair cut and asked to thin my hair out. She took her time with my haircut and the end result was absolutely fabulous. I haven't had a great haircut experience in YEARS! A star was lost for this place because I was unhappy with how Tina did my eyebrows. I expect my eyebrows to be waxed but Tina did more tweezing than waxing. They accept walk ins and appointments. We had an appointment at 2pm but came in at 3pm on a Sunday. They were very accommodating and for 2 haircuts and eyebrow wax took 2 hours with only being helped by Tina. Price: This is a reasonable priced salon but beware your haircut price tends to be different at every visit for the same haircut style. My mom has paid anywhere from $15-$30 for her haircut. This recent visit it cost $30 for my mom's haircut and $35 for my haircut. I was expecting it to be cheaper since their price board had women's hair cut starting at $14. Eyebrow wax cost $9.99. I also noticed their mani/pedi special is $31.99. Cleanliness: The salon isn't the best looking but I think it is because everything is outdated in their salon. Overall, I think Tina is a great hairstylist and well worth the price. She took her time with my hair. She made sure I was completely happy with my hairstyle. Not happy at all with this place. I did not receive any service because I just went with my bf to get a hair cut. From the moment we walked in they were trying to get me to use one of their services. What really ticked me off is "do you want hair color?". Wtf are the fuckin stupid...obviously I cant, seeing that I am full on pregnant. They kept asking and I kept saying no...so annoying. Decided to try a new place to cut hair. My boys have been coming here to get their hair cuts and since I went the last time they cut their hair, I decided to give it a try. The location is right across Jack in the Box on Dillingham. My boys all went in and the cuts were quick. I kinda felt bad for the guy cutting hair cause we just walked in and it was the end of the day so im sure he wasnt planning on being there much longer. The boys hairs came out looking good and so I went in next. I wanted to keep the sides short but keep most of the length on top. So he did a fade. It took a little time but he did really good on it. I think i'll end up going back there when my hair grows back longer. I was kinda amazed when talking to the barber because he said he was only cutting hair for a year and a half. It started off as a hobby, but he was good at it so he decided to do it for a living. For a year and a half, he's pretty good. The cuts for 10 years and older are 12.99 I think. I'm doing this review on Traci. I got a haircut from her yesterday and I'm very surprised that she got my request almost down to the tee. I just needed a haircut really quick before hitting the club and I showed her a picture of my haircut and told her that I wanted the comb over line. She even did my faux hawk in the back too. Not exactly the haircut that I usually get but I could rock my line up for the next two weeks even for an interview. Reason being, she cleans up your hair really nicely. Everything was even and I'm usually a stickler when it comes to even one hair being longer especially on the sides when they need to blend in the fade. Traci even uses a new blade when doing the side burns and the combover line. The box was evenly made and over all my cut was clean. For my haircut it was $21. This was the reason why my review wasn't a complete 5 stars. I have a friend that works at a different shop who has a flat rate for haircuts and he washes and gels if you want. Just remember to ask for Traci because she really does take care. I heard she worked at a different shop and she really took care of all of her clients since they were in middle school and now working men. I give her 5 stars because she's really good and I don't trust more than 4 people with my hair. I'm definitely coming back with a bigger tip for her especially when I need a really quick cut within a day's notice. I'm going to add that she's really nice and also she's pretty too. I have been going to Christina for years now. She is great at all services. Haircuts and color, pedicure and manicure, eyebrows, she can do it all! Christine and Kevin are a husband and wife team and they really go out of their way to service customers. Small and friendly staff, and although they speak in their native tongue, they have a good time together! It's a very relaxed atmosphere for kids and adults. I recommend you set up an appointment first to ensure the wait won't be that long. Christina listens to what you want and gives suggestions too. I only see her because she knows exactly what I want. Weekends are busy, so I try to schedule my appointment at the end of the workday around 430, they close at 7pm. For the price, it's worth checking out. I do basic, cut and color, pedicure, nothing fancy so if you are looking for a modern cut and styles, I can't really comment on that. I don't ever have to worry about getting a bad haircut. I've only had Kevin cut my hair and I have never been disappointed. He takes his time making sure the fade is on point and I'm looking sharp. I always call ahead to set an appointment with him. The only negative thing I can say about getting my hair cut here is that the wait may be long if you come during peak times- usually weekends and/or after work. After the haircut, he uses a razor for the lineup. There's usually a complimentary shampoo after as well. This review is based on a male's haircut only. On one of my previous visits, I was convinced by wife to get a pedicure, and did, but I got a whole lot more. Some redness on my toe turned out to be some sort of fungus that spread, and it took weeks to get rid of. On another, the behavior of the younger guy was quite objectionable. And why does he behave the way he does? Because the owners let him do so... General observations: Unsanitary conditions - Piles of hair laying around. Cockroach bait laying around. Evidence of cockroaches living in drawers where hair cutting equipment is kept. I also do not ever see them cleaning scissors/clippers, or attachments...makes me want to go home and submerge my head in alcohol. -Quality - Haircut quality can be better than many of the others I've seen on the island, but that quality is just not consistent enough. The two that I believe to be the owners do a good job, but the help is sometimes questionable. -Tipping - Practically standing there with the hand out is not the right way. -Behavior - Too much gossip. Too much watching of television. Bored employees lounging around in their chair when there are no nails to do. What are you doing, taking a nap? Go home for that. Inappropriate comments toward the TV? Failed. Suggestions: -Take at least one of the 40 year old posters off the wall. -Stop talking so much in whatever language that is... particularly if it appears you are gossiping about customers. Consider TV choices, think family... you are not at home on your couch... -Take 20 seconds to pick up clipped hair from previous customers, and not just sweeping it under the counter. -Make cockroach bait traps less visible, and look to find a better solution. -Make a sincere effort to clean equipment, and make it look like you do so. read more

First time coming to this place to get a haircut and it was horrible. My friend likes the guy that cuts hair but the lady has some issue. First of all we had three people ahead of us, it took her three hours to do three girls. We got there at 4 and she didn't get to us til 7. I didn't mind the wait but I realize the only reason she takes so long doing peoples hair is because she takes like 30 minutes of the time straightening someones hair. As I was watching she keeps cutting the hair that the person wants shorter than what they want because she tries to perfect every single strand. People ends up getting pissed because instead of two inches of what the person wants she ends up cutting 5 because she wants it to be "perfect". Then it was my turn, she made sit on the chair and ask me how much i wanted to cut. She cuts off 2 inches of my hair. Before proceeding to the rest of the haircut, she asked me if I could wait 3 minutes because there was a lady that came in that had an appointment. Why didn't she just let the girl go before chopping my hair? So she said 3 minutes right? No it freaking took her 15 minutes to wax her armpit. So im sitting there with uneven hair and waiting for her FOREVER to wax the girl. Then I decided that I'll just trim because I have somewhere else to be at and that place were going to close at 730 since she takes an hour to layer someones hair. So after the girl I sat on the chair, I was watching to see if she would wash her hands after waxing someone elses armpit. Yeah, she did wash her hands but with no soap. She just put her hands under water for like two seconds proceeding to cut my hair. ONE WORD: DIS-FCKKING-GUSTING. It was gross that she touches my hair after someone elses armpit. Then I told her I gotta go so just trim my hair and so she got the straightener and straightened my hair for like another 15 minutes. REALLY? what kind of a hairstylist are you when you cant cut without a straightener. I understand you want to be perfect but really? I don't even straighten my hair at a regular basis or barely at all so why perfect it that way when i don't normally wear it that way. So anyway, she's vietnamese or thai with a strong accent and I don't think I'll ever come back to this place. They do not clean up after cleaning someones hair and you end up stepping over like 10 million of peoples hairs. It is very unsanitary and the haircuts take too long. There are other places out there like MyTan that is way better than this place. They are more professional, cleaner and way better at hygiene and accommodating customers. read more
