The inside is clean, well-lit, and comfortable. It is so homey. I walk into all my appointments ready to relax and receive great service. The waxes themselves are quick and painless. Jade (the owner) does a wonderful job at keeping you comfy and engaged. I never felt like the work wasn't amazing. Jade listens to what you want and delivers every time. Everything about Wax Appeal is soooo appealing! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Lia and her adorable shih tzu. I've been quite busy studying, so needless to say, my brows were quite unruly when I went in. Lia worked her magic, and I came out with lovely brows. Scheduling: Convenient and easy online scheduling. You can book individual or combination of services with Jade or Lia. I initially wanted to do a combination of services however there were limited availabilities for all the services prior to my trip, so I only got my eyebrows done this session. Location: Owned by a mom and daughter pair, Wax Appeal is located in the Halawa residential area. It's a little studio on the side of the house with ample parking. The space itself was super clean and cozy. There was parking on site but there was also ample street parking if needed. Service: Lia was super sweet and did a great job on my brows. She really took her time to make sure my brows were reshaped and stray hairs were removed. She also applied cooling gel to help with the redness. I have sensitive skin so I really appreciated this Price: Really reasonably priced. My session was $15 + tips. All prices were nicely listed on their website and scheduling platform. I have booked a handful of times with Lia now... she is amazing! What initially started as just a lash lift (referral from my friend), has now turned into a lash lift and brow lamination + waxing! I moved out here a few years ago and was always so hesitant to have anyone but my eyebrow lady from home touch my eyebrows. It was to the point where I just plucked here and there and would wait til I went back home (maybe 1-2x a year) for her to wax me. Then I met Lia, and I can now say she is the only one on this island I trust touching my brows! She's extremely knowledgeable about the process and her products and walked me through everything. Jade was very friendly and welcoming. The time just flew by and next thing I knew, the lash lift was done and a whole hour was gone. The ending result was beautiful - just as natural as I wanted it to be. I'll definitely be back next time but for a more dramatic look to try something new. Got a brazilian, eyebrow and lip wax within an hour. Jade is amazing at doing eyebrows I haven't gotten them done in over a year and typically I opt for threading but I will definitely switch over to getting my eyebrows waxed here. Jade asked me how I wanted my brows and I told her how I wanted more of an arch and she shaped my eyebrows so amazingly. She makes sure to take her time getting all the unnecessary hair. This is quite different from what I normally go too. It's in a little studio like on the side of her house. Jade is such a sweet sweet lady. Made me feel comfortable the entire time. Place is clean, but small or should I say tiny. I do not recommend bringing anyone else with you to your appointments unless you don't mind letting them see your woohoo..lol Although I had small hairs left in between. I'm still ok with that. I was expecting it to hurt like it was my first time because I haven't wax in over a month. I usually go every 3 weeks but it's been almost 2 months and I can honestly say the waxing wasn't so bad. Love it! Been here twice. I'll admit I got lost but that's just me. Her salon is a very cute at home studio that has a relaxing spa like feel enhanced with some aroma therapy. But really I can't say enough good things about this lovely lady! She is just so pleasant and skilled. Someone who makes you want to hangout!
