The HydraFacial was a superb birthday gift! Thanking my Sweetie for this pampering which was gentle skin care that felt really good. We arrived before our appointment time and filled out their forms. We each had our own room/skin care specialist. The comfortable spa table is prepped with a little steamer to get your face ready for treatment. The HydraFacial machine was explained to me. She also stated that if the process felt uncomfortable, I could alert her to adjust the pressure. The procedure helped to clean, exfoliate, and remove impurities from my skin. She then applied a serum of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The final application was sunscreen. While the untrained eye, probably couldn't SEE a difference after the HydraFacial, I could certainly FEEL the difference. Clean, fresh, and super rejuvenated! As a follow up, I came in for the Scultural Face Lift with Buccal Massage. This included lymphatic drainage (behind your ears) and microcirculation of my shoulders, neck, and jaw area. Unfortunately was persuaded by the amazing reviews, however my experience was far from that. It was my first facial in a while and I'm still very new to this facial thing and she made me feel very uneasy. The procedure itself was very rough at times, the sensation became unbearable. Parking is not tricky, and is so easy to do in the Ala Moana parking lot and then walk over to the building. It's a busy building in the morning, so give yourself some time to make it to the elevators and head up to the 14th floor where you walk into a serene world immediately. The sight, smell, and sound of the spa immediately draws you in. After settling in, I had the most amazing Salt Facial at Honolulu Spa & Wellness with the owner. I do not get facials regularly because I tend to leave the salon with sensitive skin that's all blotchy and red from the chemicals that were used. But getting a Salt Facial is so much different! No chemicals were used and the results were amazing. The salt used is a natural antibacterial and antimicrobial agent so my skin was not irritated one bit in the process. I learned this is one of the few places offering this service, so definitely take advantage of them having this service. The procedure started by cleansing my face and neck first. Then the Salt Facial followed with her using a wand that used all natural sea salt resurfacing to prep my skin for the next stages. I thought it was going to hurt for some reason , but it didn't at all and just felt like a deep exfoliation. I then had an aesthetic ultrasound to nourish and increase circulation of my skin, which helped whatever she used to get deeper into my skin. The next step was where I could really feel the treatment doing its job, and that was the LED light therapy! I did that for a couple of minutes and could feel my skin getting its natural glow back. The last part of my experience here was a hydrating face mask that I didn't even know I needed. The whole process felt so fast but gave such great results. My skin feels brighter and tighter, especially around my under-eye and cheeks where I felt like my skin was sagging a bit. I could just feel my skin was softer and had reduced the bumpiness in some areas that were affected by acne in the past. All in all a great experience and a facial I recommend to anyone that wants a natural approach to getting one. Visited Oahu for the holiday weekend and scheduled a lymphatic massage with Carla. I've never gotten a lymphatic massage before but Carla made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and explained everything she was going to be doing. Typically I enjoy deep tissue massages but was surprised at how relaxed I felt from this one even though the pressure is a lot lighter. I would definitely return when I'm visiting in the future! After that I always schedule with her bc I feel like she's the only one that can squeeze me in at 6pm I know it's pretty late and no one wanna go home late but I'm glad she took me in every time I asked. I tried almost everything there and I love how she communicate and how she did my skin is amazing. Wish I can get more neck massage from her bc it's the best one I had so far. Also my skin improve a lot whenever I go, it's not gonna help if u only go 1 or 2 times. I was looking for a place to treat my skin and I came across honolulu spa & wellness. The reviews looked great, so I gave it a try. I called them, and a nice lady helped me choose which procedures I should do. I told her my concerns and I was recommended the basic signature facial & the LED light therapy. I also had a free consultation scheduled. My appointment was at 10:30 & i arrived at around 10:27. I did have to wait like 10 minutes, but it was fine. I was a bit confused, because I figured my free consultation would be at the beginning of my appointment, but we just jumped right into the facial. I was a bit disappointed, because I wanted my skin to be examined closely & get feedback on what I could do to improve my redness in my skin. Nevertheless, the facial was very nice & Grace explained everything well. She was accommodating & when she noticed my skin was sensitive and becoming a bit red, she tried to be more gentle. The signature facial is pretty basic it seems, but it was really relaxing & made my skin look very glowy. Just a heads up, if you do the LED therapy, be prepared for a really bright light in your face lol. You will be given goggles to wear, but the light was still pretty bright. I got used to it in a few minutes & the rest of the time was fine. The only thing I noticed afterwards was that my face looked glowy & a bit red. Perhaps a hydrafacial would give me the results i'm looking for. Grace did recommend me adding one on, but I wanted to just stick with what was originally planned. Overall a good experience for my first time getting a facial. I definitely want to try the hydrafacial next time to target my pores better! read more

I needed to get t my eyebrows shaped and waxed as well as my entire face! Side effects from a medicine had my hair grow out so much mainly on my face in unwanted areas. She told me what she was going to do before she proceeded which is always nice so you know what to expect. Asked how the temp of the wax was and if I was comfortable. Of course the waxing hurt more in some areas but it's to be expected. She was very thorough and let me check a couple times to see if I was satisfied with the areas. I liked how she waxed my eyebrows and didn't over do them or make it too thin. She also explained to me about derma plaining as an option for maintenance (monthly) on my face instead of waxing again which I think is a good idea. This service can be added on with a facial I believe she said can only do it with a facial service. The space nice and clean, I think they have like 3-5 rooms. This girl was standing up hunching over doing all the waxing I wondered if her back hurt lol she was working hard. Other salons they usually sit at the top of the bed hovering over your face but I guess the room didn't have enough room for that I noticed. Anyway karina did a very nice job and I am happy with my service. Don't forget to check in on yelp and get $5 off over $50 service. She was very communicative along the way, professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and applied perfect pressure. The massage on my scalp, neck, arms and hands was wondrous and very relaxing. Products used were all organic and mostly from the Image and Ormedic line and smell delicious. My face loved all of it. I also appreciated Tuyet for her gentle eyebrow waxing. The paper used was virtually pain free. She took her time and made sure I was comfortable and I was very pleased with the results -- clean and very nice shape. I've also seen Lynda for eyebrow waxing and enjoyed her as well. Honolulu Spa & Wellness also has a very convenient online booking system with reminders of upcoming appointments? Are you a little nervous about trying a Nano Micro Needling Treatment? Please DO NOT be! Grace at Honolulu Spa and Wellness is the goddess esthetician that will take away any worries you may have about the *scary* needling.. because it's really not scary, nor painful at all! I had some skincare worries including; light sun spots, large pores, and I wanted to do some preventative skincare treatment. Grace used her magic touch to take care of all my skincare concerns! Not only did Grace explain her processes of everything she was doing to my face, she was very gentle and continued to ask me if I was comfortable with it. She was definitely one of the best estheticians I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. To start, included in my Nano Micro Needling Skincare Treatment was a Vitamin C Enzymatic Peel. I loved the cool texture and the scent of this. The Nano Micro Needling itself was a bit ticklish, but not painful in any way at all. I really felt like my skin was getting "cleaned up" as it was done. After the treatment, she let my skin rest underneath the red/blue LED infrared light with a bio-molecular hydrating recovery mask. It was so relaxing listening to the gentle calming music while under these lights. I almost fell asleep because it was so comfortable. As I mentioned previously, Grace was really thorough about areas that may be a little more sensitive then others, and always let me know before she worked on that area. I do really appreciate her personable, kind and understanding personality. I will definitely come back to try another treatment. As for booking options; You can easily book your appointment online, which is super helpful! I love being able to choose from time slots that work for me. After purchasing at nearly 1/2 the reg amount, I booked my appt online. Sadly I did have to book it a month out due to my schedule even though they had openings much much sooner. So my magical Saturday came and I was ready for my Signature facial! Walking in, I was immediately put to ease with their relaxing sounds, quaint and elegant space. In a few minutes, Lynda kindly greeted me, asked me if I needed anything and walked me to the room. After getting settled in, she explained everything to me, started to have the warm steam on my face and my facial begin. Everything was so soothing and relaxing.
