I was told that this type of lip shape was something "only colored women have." At the time I didn't fully process how inappropriate that comment was, but looking back, it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If the result wasn't suitable for my anatomy or couldn't be achieved safely, that could have been explained without bringing race into the conversation. I don't care how long ago it happened. It was not okay, and I think people should be made aware of the kind of comments that were made during my appointment. Consultations should be based on anatomy, safety, and the client's aesthetic goals. Not racial stereotypes.

I don't know whether it was the dosage, the product, or another factor, but the treatment simply didn't perform as expected. I ultimately decided to go elsewhere. After receiving Botox from another provider, I experienced significantly better results that have now lasted nearly three months. The difference has been very noticeable. After my experience, I happened to speak with someone else who had also been treated here, and they shared that they had a very similar experience with their Botox. While I can only speak for my own results, hearing that made me feel my experience may not have been an isolated one.
