Top China is my go-to American-Chinese restaurant in NWA, boasting modest prices, massive portions, and a menu brimming with dishes that most similar diners don't offer. The vegetarian options are extensive and all very flavorful, with some of the best tofu in town. Funny enough, although most customers order take-out, my visits are almost always enjoyed in the small dining area. Top China provides free hot tea at all times of the day, which is a nice touch: most Chinese restaurants would charge $2 a cup, and in a party of three or four, that actually does add up. read more

Food average. Ordered moo shoo beef and was mostly cabbage. Biggest issue was wonton soup way too hot to eat. Caused a blister on my tongue. Only 1 person working up front. If you fine in your served on paper plates and plastic utensils. Seafood delight okay. Unless you like listening to grown men shouting in Chinese in the back kitchen, then don't eat in. It used to be pretty good a few years ago, but it's pretty terrible now. Every few months I forget how bad it was and give it another try due to it being so convenient. No better this time. The broccoli and beef literally smells like pet urine. We (my daughter and I) tried to power through it, but just couldn't. Not sure if it's the sauce or what but the deeper we got, the more the aroma effected the flavor. On a good note the the egg rolls and cheese wontons were good and thankfully pretty filling. And we didn't find grill brush shavings as we have a few other times. I'll probably get convinced to stop in again sometime. Advice to myself- don't order anything with beef, broccoli or brown sauce. I love the steamed dumplings. They come with a little tub of sauce that's perfect for them with chives in it. The spring rolls are good, too. Usually a pick up for dinner establishment, but decided to eat there today. They only have about 10 tables to sit at. Always a good meal. My favorite is their orange chicken. The General Taos and sweet and sour chicken is great as well. Definitely can't go wrong with their crab rangoon. I would strongly suggest using them for carry out. read more

The Chinese food is pretty good and we sometimes get takeout. I would not take company there to eat in the restaurant. The kitchen area that you see from the ordering counter is dirty, the walk-in freezer doors are filthy and the entry to the kitchen walls is dirty. The seats of the booths need to be redone, the backs are okay but the seats make the whole atmosphere of the restaurant look uninviting. The counter where you order is covered with menus, one stack of menus should be sufficient, so there would be place to sit your purse when you are paying the cashier. We will probably continue to get occasional take out, but that's it. read more

The last time I ordered two meals from Top China (prior to this order, my wife and I have always liked the food) MY MEAL HAD A PIECE OF THAT SHAVED METAL FROM ONE OF THOSE POT SCRUBBER BRILLO TYPE PADS. Luckily it was sitting right on top of the beef and broccoli and I saw it before swallowing it and slicing up my throat and guts ect. ect.. they were really not even regretful about the ordeal and didn't want to rectify they issue. Based on the reviews, I was really looking forward to trying out Top China but was disappointed. We arrived in the evening and found the dining room to be no frills but just fine. After no greeting and listening to the yelling in the kitchen for several minutes (we were the only customers there), we placed our order at the counter. The first dish "sweet and sour chicken" (quote marks for a reason) arrived first - basically a pile of fried boneless chicken pieces served on a styrofoam plate with a small container of sweet pink sauce on the side. Period. Chicken nuggets with dipping sauce and a side of rice. About 5 or so minutes later ... chicken moo goo gai pan. This was far more successful but late as can be. A few minutes later (at least 10 after the first entree arrived) came the bean curd entree and Szechuan tofu entrees served in (no kidding) foil take-out bins. Both drowned in super salty and sweet, cloying sauce. The tofu and bean curd were cooked nicely but the sauce ruined everything, including the piles of vegetables that otherwise looked appetizing. Everything served on styrofoam, foil or paper plates with cheap plastic forks. We were told by the extremely unfriendly to-the-point-of-rude order-taker that most of their business is take-out. Well, then why not scrap the tables altogether? We just could not understand the rudeness of the service and the sloppy cooking and presentation. This was the kind of meal, and experience, that you wish you could go back in time and erase. read more

First of all, the sign on the window says they open at 12. Theyve never opened at 12. When we have gotten here, theyre just walking in the door multiple times we've been. Secondly, the food, Gross. Got chicken with mixed veggie combo, the chicken in the fried rice didn't have any flavor whatsoever. The veggies were okay. But it smelled ruined. The egg rolls sucked. Picked up take out from Top China last week for the first time. We were very pleased. Egg drop soup was great. The egg rolls were packed well and had very good flavor. Did not feel like cooking and Top China is so close to the Blowing Springs RV Park where we were visiting. I ordered garlic chicken and a couple of egg rolls. This was as good as any Chinese food I have had anywhere. Other Yelp reviewers suggested just doing take out and I totally agree with them.
