90 minutes!!! I went to get man eyelash extensions, when I got there the lady behind the counter said it would be 15 minutes... so I waited but half an hour passed so I went up to the counter and she told me it would be half in hour I continued to wait. I sat there and waited an hour an a half before I got up and went home. I will definitely not be going back which sucks because it looked like people liked the place given the fact that seven people went in got their nails done and then left. Also by the waiting area is a sign that mentions they are on yelp so of course it apply to share your experience on yelp... so I am. Buyer beware. I was very clear in asking prices as this was my first visit to the salon. The original price quoted was $51 for Mani/pedi and gel nail polish. There was no massage included in my pedicure? I have never heard of that and my final bill came to $56. When I asked why the manager mention it was for soaking in acetone to remove the gel polish. It really took as long to remove as regular polish. I will not be returning. read more

Went in today for a gel manicure and sat with someone named "Cindy". I get gel manicures all the time however this place happen to be next to my baby sitters house. Not only did Cindy take a hour and 15 min to do a simple gel manicure but she never used gel!! After realizing the "gel" kept smudging after using alcohol to dry them from the fluorescent light. She started to laugh with all the other workers when she realized she was using the wrong product. She used regular color than the gel product. I explained I didn't have any more time to do this over so she wiped the polish and said I can go. I told her I like to come back and I like discount for the 1.5 hr I lost. Her coworker said they don't do that. So I got up and left and said I will never return. I left with polish residue. Came in with clean nails too. BEWARE!!!! NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!!!! I have been coming here for over 6 months now. I kept wanting to love it... but I found them overpriced and difficult to work with. Twice I have been where I asked for both a mani and pedi and only received a pedi. What happened to my mani guys? TWICE! Another time I asked my manicurist who was doing my fake nails with gel if he could do some simple design for me and he kept trying to ask me to do other things.. I asked for a tree.... like a regular easy tree... nothing special. He said yes but then kept asking me to change to something else. My nails are touch and go. Sometimes they last and look nice, other times they look off and break easily. It all depends on who you get. For me, I will not be coming back because forgetting my mani for the second time is enough. I'm not comfortable asking them more than 3 times for one. Also I have had a couple moments where I felt the employees were a little rude. I was really rooting for this place, but I don't feel very well taken care of here and for the cost, that's not ok with me. read more

I had my nails done by Lin twice but I'm sorry to say I'm never going back after giving her many chances .. Every time I got my nails done with in less than one week after getting them done I always find disappointments ... My nails popped off within the first day ... So I went back to have her fix them and I tipped her still which was fine because I have no problem giving people 2nd chances ... So another time I came in and she sent me home at 630 and said she was gong to leave for the day so that was strike 2 ... What really took the cake was when I went back to get another fill and spider web gel design .. She put dark blue gel instead of black and my bats look like birds and my gel started chipping the next day .. That's what I got for paying $56 for a $10 job .. read more

The service for this establishment has tremendously dropped. It takes two hours for a basic manicure. The staff is not friendly it is just ridiculous. Spend a few extra dollars elsewhere and you will be treated better and you wont loose half of your day on a Manicure! read more

This is by far the best nail spa in Riverside. Nancy. T is awesome she has been taking care of my nails for over 20 years. I take my 88 year old daddy to get a pedi once a month and Nancy treats him as he were her own daddy! I am new to the gel polish world. I decided to get a gel mani with french tips. Nancy was able to get me in same day and did an awesome job. I find the salon clean and friendly and the new coffee bar is a very positive addition! You got my vote Top City Nails!! read more

Having now had a pedicure and eyebrow wax at Top City Nails, I know they are a top quality place. The wait both times has never exceeded five minutes. The staff is very friendly, prices are competitive and with each service comes some luxury. The woman at the desk will greet you and any pedicurist's or waxer will ensure comfort and be at tentative about needs. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a deal on a mani/pedi before one pm for $21 and an eyebrow wax is only$8 whereas other nail salons are a couple of dollars more. To top it, there are benifits such as the warm foot soak and massage chair for pedicures and a temple massage after eyebrow grooming( And it really is grooming. Other places will wax and send away but Jenny will style and trim.). The convience places this salon against others easily. read more

I recently went to Top City Nails and Hair, and I have to say, I would NOT recommend anyone to go here . I went in there excited to try the new "Crackle" style, and left unsatisfied and angry. First off, let me explain what "Crackle" is, for those of you who dont know. Crackle is a special nail polish that "cracks" once dried over a base nail color. You have to do it the right way for it to come out correctly, and that is exactly what they didn't do. The pattern on my nails came out very blotchy, hardly any of the base color showed. Second, I was extremely unsatisfied with the way he filed my nails. He did them so rough he accidently scraped my skin and made it bleed. Another complaint I have is how loudly they talk across the shop in Vietnamese.Oh and also they are NOT kid friendly. There are plenty of signs on their walls and desks that show that. It was actually pretty funny though haha. But on a positive note, you dont have to wait too long if you walk-in and their prices are very cheap (but remember you do get what you pay for). read more

First time at Top City Nails today. I went in with really long acrylic nails that I have had for a while and wanted to remove and have a new full set put on. I was helped pretty quickly. The nail tech was Sophie. She began to take off my acrylic nails off harshly. I was in pain and one of my nails was bleeding. When I've gone to any other place they make sure that they weren't hurting me. She just seemed like she didn't care much when I said "that hurt". Then she began putting on my new set. After I told her the length which was really short she told me it would be $35 dollars. The new acrylic set wasn't isn't even an inch long. The set I came in with were long and I paid $30 somewhere else. I should have known when I was picking my polish and read the sign "if you break a nail polish bottle $20." Like what??? You know you spent 5.99$ on those nail polishes. Prices are horrible and my nails look horrible. If she did an ok job and she was nice I would be like whatever. She was rude, hurt me and over charged me... won't be coming back here again... read more

After reading the 14 most recent Yelp reviews, a friend and I decided to give this nail salon a try. This is a very busy place. They have a lot of employees and were able to get my friend and me in quickly. My wait as a walk-in was only about 8 minutes. The parking is easy; the prices are very affordable and their product was good quality. I am in the healthcare industry and am very picky about cleanliness and how nail salons disinfect their tools and instruments. Top City's disinfection protocol is impressive and they put me at ease, answered my questions and walked me through their disinfection process. They employ several nursing students and one of the employees was recruited from a local podiatrist. You know a quality nail salon not based on Yelp reviews...you see it for yourself...there is a reason why this place is packed. i wish there would be zero stars!!! i asked for the 22 dlls manicure and pedicure morning special and manicurist asked me if I wanted to upgrade and I said no, so she pretended to remove the cuticles but she did not and her nail polish was terribly done, omg!!!! i was so mad!!! the worse job ever in my entire life!!!! I can't believe that because one cannot upgrade to a more expensive treatment, they cannot do what is supposed to be done, at least remove the cuticles and do a decent job on the nail polish!!! what a waste of money and time!! read more

So trying out a new nail salon is always surprising because you never know what you're going to get. My very first experience here was nice. The coordinator was on point with everything I needed. I was getting a full set and my daughter was just getting her nails painted and toes. When my daughter was done she came back with flowers which at first I was going to be upset until the coordinator said don't worry I have this one. So the next time I went I intended only to get a fill but then asked if I could get a pedicure at the same time and the coordinator said no problem. As soon as I sat on the chair the one lady came up to me and asked which one I wanted first and I looked at her confused, until the coordinator y'all that her that I was getting both Services done at the same time. Awesome. So the lady started doing my fill and moments later the other lady started my pedicure. The lady doing my pedicure told me it wasn't a good idea to do both of them at the same time cuz it's hard for them. I explained to her that I was pressed for time and the coordinator said that this could be done. She was like oh yes, okay. As she continued to do my pedicure she was scrubbing my feet and such a rough manner that I actually looked at her like are you for reals. She was scrubbing my feet so hard that she made my manicurist cut me on my finger, I began to bleed they said sorry. Knowing this happens it wasn't a big deal until she continued scrubbing my feet and made a piece of my skin raw which really burned. Her name was Anna. If they ever give her to you refuse her and ask for another. A pedicure is the most amazing thing when you go to a nail salon and that was not the best experience ever. I also PM them on Facebook to personally message them about the situation and I never got a response. Will I go back I might but I definitely won't recommend Anna. Very disappointed. I've been here before and have had good experiences but today not so much. I got a manicure and pedicure. I was going to get gel with a design but I didn't like how thin and weak they made my nails so I thought better of it. Once I informed Amy she and her co workers INSTANTLY gave me attitude. Once I explained for the 5th time to Amy why I did not want gel anymore she proceeded to say it was okay and I thought the problem was over. Until her co workers kept asking me why, and they didn't think I could understand them when they were talking about me in their language. And once I asked if that would be a problem she replied no but her co workers continued to talk about me all because I didn't want gel anymore. And Amy gave me a very poor manicure, my nails are poorly shaped and my cuticles look awful! I usually go to Lanny but I won't be returning at all after the way I was treated. I could understand if she was upset because she already put the gel on but i told her I didn't want gel when she was just doing my cuticles FYI so it wasn't like she had to do any extra work or something like that.
