Not only was he punctual, he was responsive communicative and extremely professional. they sent me the estimates by the end of that same day (others took weeks or didn't even bother to show up at all). They delivered as promise, showed up on time, and his team of 3 finished my large property in 1.5 days. My garden beds look amazing! As I mentioned in my original review at no point did i never had an issue with pricing, the service technician REFUSED to come and view my property and the issues prior to giving me any form of quote to make sure what he was suggesting for repair was what was actually needed. THIS is why I rated this company what I did in the original review as well as why we chose to go elsewhere for a price that was higher but at least they came and viewed the damage first before making an assessment. I would also wonder how an assessment of my call was done with your technician when he called me from a cell phone and no one ever stated a call was recorded.

The offer was more than fair. Once I confirmed to go ahead with the project, they arrived the same day to do the bulk of the work. The tree was successfully brought down despite there being power lines in the way, with no property damage or any accidents. Some logs were left behind, but they were removed several days later as is often the case with jobs like this. Other than a small divot in the lawn where the tree came down, you'd hardly know the tree had been recently removed. So overall, very happy with the work done. That being said, whenever you hire a contractor to do something like this, always get everything (including the price, timeline, specifics and their signature) written down to cover yourself. I'm not victim-blaming the negative reviews here, but cynicism and paperwork are your friends.

THEY WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF. They must have burned 5,000 calories each taking my dangerous tree down. I haven't been this impressed by a company from quote to set up to clean up to payment. I keep telling my wife two things. A) I can't believe how good they were and B) how did they really remove the stump that well? I'm basically in shock at how lucky I got finding this company. Affordable Roofing & Masonry was responsive to my request, but their quote of $4395 was extremely…read morehigh. I was initially impressed with Martin's knowledge and demeanor, but disappointed with the final results. The chimney looked worse from the ground. Damaged bricks were noticeable and when I questioned Martin about using the worn out bricks I was told I received what he quoted and the work was guaranteed for 15-years against leaks. Martin pointed out a second chimney had a lose crown that needed to be cemented in place and it could be done for $500. I had subsequently received a quote from another mason for $4200 to repair both chimney's including 24 courses of new brick. I had the second mason work on the second chimney and remove the chimney crown using 2 courses of new brick with a new 4" thick latex modified concrete cap with an 1 1/2" overhang. Damaged flu's that were cracked were replaced and a new rain cap was installed. When I asked about the chimney Affordable Roofing & Masonry had worked on I was told the bricks should be replaced to the roof line or removed and the roof repaired. Affordable Roofing & Masonry did not offer these options. I didn't know anything about chimney repair at the time and had difficulty finding a mason to do the work. I liked the responsiveness of Affordable Roofing & Masonry, but I would never use them again.

They cleaned up my yard great, I got it dethatched and seeded as well as the dips filled in with fresh dirt. Right away my lawn started to look better so I'm excited to see how it heals. Also, loving Yelp and the features, I did get an answer to my estimate request within an hour- also great. The cons.... the guys showed up 26 hours after I was initially expecting them. Thankfully I work from home so I was there when they did actually show up but I don't like the feeling not knowing when to expect people at my house.
