Got a quote for $300-400 from Lorena for a deep cleaning on my home I was moving into. She said she normally comes to the home but could give man quote based on my description. I asked specifically that it wouldn't go above $400 and she said yes. The quote included wiping down blinds, not dusting, something I also specifically clarified with her, because I wanted more than just dusting. Thinking it was a good quote I scheduled it, along with carpet cleaners the days after and movers the days after that. I wanted Lorena and jackqueline to the cleaning since all the yelp reviews talked about them. She said only her team would clean but she would come to meet me and give the final quote. 15 minutes later, I asked if we could push it back from 9am to 11am. She said "ok see u then". Morning of the cleaning she text me she cannot come, saying she already had something schedule at 11. Then why did you see see me at 11? Instead of owning the mistake, she makes it seem it was my mistake thinking she would be there. Im sorry but I'm not physic and if someone says see at 11, what else is a person to think? Not only did I waste a half day, half tank of gas, but now I either continue with the movers coming in 2 days with no house cleaning, or push back my whole move a week, living out of boxes until then. Lorena responded that she didn't give me a final quote, which is a complete lie. I would have never scheduled everything back to back without a max price and I specifically asked her when she gave me a quote over the phone that it wouldn't go over $400 she said no it will not. Then the girls shows up and they said it's $500, no grout only clorex mop, and they will only wipe blinds with a swifter. I told Lorena I wanted the blinds wiped not dusted, she said yes we will wipe them I dusted them, and not she says yes I told you we would wipe them with a swifter! Is this a word game or a legitimate business? Lorena saw an opportunity to get more money from me in a situation I didn't have a choice or time to hire someone else. She knew that. She is a very opportunistic person and definitely got a used car salesman/ dishonest car mechanic vibe from her. I'm sure the cleaners would have done great, but a dishonest opportunistic excuse for a business owner will never get a dollar from me. It's too bad they work for a company like this. Can't imagine how worse of a deal they are getting. Classic case of - tell you whatever it is she thinks you want to hear at the beginning, but what you actually get is much much different. The sad part for Lorena and the cleaners is I agreed to $400 and would have tipped each cleaner at least $50 bucks each. If she just did a good job and was a person of her word, she would have got the $500 anyways. Greedy dishonest opportunistic people will never be successful in business. read more
