    Absolutely love this store. Which is saying much because all PetSmarts are not created equally…read more For example, I live closer to Hickory. However, you will never catch me in that particular store in Hickory. That store is just nasty, empty, unattended, dead fishes floating, no assistance [...] but I digress. The store in Morganton is most helpful. The staff is kind, even funny at times. They have no problem helping me spend more money on my pets and supplies. Truly, just an awesome store. Very helpful, informative and kind. I highly recommend this store for all your pet needs. But, this store only. *I cannot speak on the adjoining groomer or vet care.

    This review is for the grooming salon in Petsmarts Morganton, NC location. I booked a grooming…read moreexperience for the first time here after going to another groomer prior. I booked the $87 appointment and ended up having to pay $150 from all the add ons. But, that's not even the worst part.... all of my dogs hair was gone and she was cut up in several places. After sending them time stamped photos they continued to say that the groomer did not chart any cuts so they could not have been done by PetSmart. I will include the photos below. The finally got back to me a week later because the managers were out of town?????The refused to give her medicine from the store or even call her in medication to the vet. I am honestly baffled at the audacity to say I would do that to my own dog just because they didn't want to take responsibility. I will never go back there. My groomers name was Hannah. Keep your fur babies safe away from their grooming salon. Pathetic. (There is a photo below of my precious Golden Doodle before the hair cut disaster)

    I have been with this vet for years with my dog, we have been there through the switch in…read moremanagement. Paying almost double from the old management but I stayed. I have boarded my dog there as well. Last time i boarded i had to get a shot needed for the stay. I took the dog for the shot and was told it will be a while but they would keep him up here with them and call you when he is done. I agreed. I dropped him off, and before i got 2 miles down the road the Vet called me and said oh its just a shot i have time now if you want to come back and get him, I agreed. I went right back and got him10 minutes tops from when i left him. I took him in for boarding the next morning and left him for two nights. At pick up i was being charged for a hospital stay, i questioned this and was told it was his stay for the day he got his shot. over $30.00 for him being there 10 minutes. of course I questioned that and asked for the vet to confirm what happened. After a trip upstairs a couple of times the young lady came back and said the Practice Manager said it was ok a simple misunderstanding. Time goes on to two days ago i called for a boarding appointment and was told once again he needs a shot, a flu shot, ok so i made an appointment for today the 13th. I went in and got the shot, paid $62.50 for a flu shot for my dog. Was told boarding is all set up and well see him in the morning. I have to be out of town in the morning for a meeting at 10 so i will drop him off at 8am all is good with the world. Until 2:30 today someone calls me back and informs me that the practice manager, Kim Moran said they are not allowed to board Toby anymore due to me not paying the hospital visit fee on his last visit. WHAT???? I have been talking to and visited you and no one said anything and now your calling to tell me your not keeping him anymore? This young lady said that Kim was off today and the decision was made yesterday but no one wanted to call and tell me so they have been passing it off to others since yesterday. And no there is no one else to talk to it is just NO. This is so unprofessional, retaliatory, and in poor taste not to mention the most childish thing I have ever heard of from a business. I have found someone to watch my dog at half the price and that doesnt leave them alone all night. I have also in the hour since this happened gotten him into another vet that has great reviews and charges a reasonable price for their services. Healthy Pets has definitely lost alot of clients due to the new management but I tried to be consistent and give them a chance, but this is too much for me, so i am gone as well. I'm sure more will follow suite. Healthy Pets from 10 to 0 in 60 seconds. Good Luck

    I thought long and hard on what I wanted to write because I wanted to cover everything about the…read moresituation we were put in - very sad and disappointing. Friday October 18th my family will not forget. We were in anticipation of welcoming our new family member. A little over a week ago I called in reference to a female chihuahua feist mix pup 4 months old. She was white with brown spots. She was born on June 15th, 2019. I was told no one had shown interest in her if I wanted to add my name to her list I could. I discussed it with my parents who had lost their dog of 18 years a couple months back. It was time to move on and this is the dog they were looking for. She was born on my sisters birthday, she was the a color mix of the 2 previous dogs we had, and she was the breed and age frame they wanted. I went to see her, video chatted my parents who were on vacation at the time and they were in love. They came home and immediately went to see her and confirmed they wanted her. They completed some paperwork and was told she would be spayed on Tuesday they could pick her up Thursday. They made arrangements to pick her up on Friday because they had doctor appointments on Thursday. Friday came and when my mom arrive to pick her up was informed they had adopted her out to someone else on Thursday. After her name was on her paperwork and they had completed paperwork for her, made arrangements with the shelter to pick her up, and they shelter workers messed up and gave her to someone else. We were told their name was on a list from 2 weeks ago and they had contacted them about it but they refused to bring her back. My mom was devestated. I got home from work at 5 and she was still just as upset and in tears as she was at noon when she got the aweful news. It is a aweful thing that should of been prevented. Never in the week we were told she was ours were we informed of the mix up that was 2 weeks old. Never during processing her paperwork with the other family was it discovered they promised a dog to two families. My family called and visited multiple times. The employees knew who we were and they knew we were always there for the one dog and the one dog only. This should of been prevented and never even happened. How someone could be so careless and oblivious I do not know. I still cannot wrap my head around the situation. I cannon do anything to make the situation better for my mom. Sheila called me to do some customer service cleanup. She was very nice and apologetic of the situation. I appreciate the call she made to me. But there is nothing that will make this situation better for my family and especially my mom, except to get the dog who in her mind was hers back. She picked out a name for her, bought all kind of items for her. I sincerely believe I will never be back to this facility unless it is to pick up the pup that was promised to my family. I highly suggest if you use this facility to document every phone call, visit, inquiry you make with anyone there. Take names, dates, times, anything and everything you can to document you encounter to ensure you get the fur baby you set your heart on and don't have to face the heartbreak my family has. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH THIS FACILITY!
