Upon entering thrive clinic for my dogs euthanasia appointment, we were greeted by a Receptionist named Kelly Entwisle Leblanc put us in a room then proceeded to " BOOP " my dog on the nose making her very confused as she was going blind and deaf . Dear Kelly , this was not the time to "boop" a dog on the nose ! not on the day of their final goodbye . But that was the least of what was going to happen my family , a week later When I picked up her remains, I was given a BROKEN clay paw print . In a bag I was given her ashes with the wrong name on it. YES the wrong name . In the same packet was another envelope with her paw prints that had her correct name making the entire situation even more confusing and distressing. When I brought this to Kellys attention, she immediately blamed the manager, " my manager knew about this " while the manager told me Kelly never informed her about what happened. Instead of taking responsibility, I was left with conflicting stories and no real apology or effort to make things right. Kelly then blamed the cremation company final gift " they do this all of the time , I'll call them and make sure they fucking fix this" why were you swearing ? Why were you so unprofessional? The cremation company confirmed a mistake was made by Thrive and not them . I then drove 2 hours to the cremation place to have them switch my dogs ashes into the right bag with her right name . Thrive made NO effort to fix this situation I HAD TO DO IT. Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest experiences a family can go through. The mistakes themselves were deeply upsetting, but the lack of compassion, accountability, transparency and follow-up made an already devastating day even more painful for our family . I did not receive an apology from Mrs Kelly Entwisle , not a call not a letter . I did not receive any type of reimbursement even after they knew I had to drive to the cremation site myself with my dogs ashes to fix this situation. I will tell everyone to stay away from Thrive natick .

I've definitely met some dog walkers that didn't make me feel as comfortable as Marina does...clearly she is intelligent, thoughtful and really cares about animals - all of which should be a required to deal with people's pets, but sadly that is not always the case. Brenda, the groomer, is phenomenal. She grooms to match the breed and will match to any specific instructions. Mine are always to shave the beard typical on the breed, I simply do not like it, Brenda shaves the beard. The service is outstanding.

Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.

I have had a couple times where Tufts has told me literally the opposite of the vets at Acorn with was a little concerning (in all examples it turned out Tufts was correct, but they don't offer general vet services so we go back and forth). One big pice of advice here - if you have prescriptions/drugs you have to purchase for your pet, DO NOT buy them from Acorn. I made this mistake for too long. One call to Walmart pharmacy (I'm sure it's similar at others too) and I saved over 75% from what I was paying Acorn for the exact same drugs.
