This review speaks not to the dog care aspect, but to the general experience and treatment we received when it comes to the payment & accounting relationship. If having your money mishandled bothers you, then maybe look at other options... On 3 separate occasions, we paid cash per diem upon AM dropoff...and on *all three* of those occasions, an evening staff person was in touch looking for duplicate payment. Becca was great in resolving the second instance - but in fairness, I said if it happened a third time you've lost us - and now here we are. The third time (8/8), we even put the cash in an envelope with our dog's name (as instructed)...and we're still getting "where's your payment" texts. Great lesson in mismanaging the cash drawer. Textbook ineptitude, and lack of communication between AM and PM shift. Nice work losing a customer...came here after Paws Off Leash closed, time to look again. Ask for a receipt! read more

My dog Chloe has been there more than a handful of times and always seemed to like it so this review is based on how a recent situation was handled. Tue 11/24 I dropped her off a little before 8am because I wanted to her to be tired and behave for a grooming appointment at 2:30. Watched her in and out throughout the day on webcam but couldn't find her most of the time. Went to go pick her up at 2pm and the man goes into the grooming area of the shop to grab her, I hear her yelping really loud and he comes out with her and tells me she had a "scuffle" with a Boston Terrier earlier. Chloe was shaking and would not fully extend her left front leg. They told me it was just a little scratch and that if I flush it out with hydrogen peroxide and water that she should be fine and it was up to me whether or not I brought her to the vet. At this point I'm at a loss for words, not only did they try to down play her injuries but they never contacted me, and didn't even tell me the other dog would no longer be allowed to come to their daycare. Left, brought her out to the car, saw she could bear any weight on her leg so I rushed her to the vet. They gave her antibiotics and said it looked like the wound happened a lot earlier in the day. Who knows how long she was kept there in pain bleeding?!! The vet sent her home with antibiotics, ointment and pain meds. In the initial paper work I had to fill out for daycare there was a section asking "in case of situations such as this do I want her to be brought to the vet". I said yes with no cap on cost. I just want to know why they didn't think to call me to let me know! I will never go back there and will make sure to warn others not to as well. read more

Love this place! My dog was exhausted after staying and playing for the day. Really clean inside and staff is very friendly.

Our adopted dog arrived from an environment that did not socialize him with other dogs. We've been taking him to Top Dog weekly to overcome his shyness with other dogs. We explained our situation to the staff at Top Dog, and they went above and beyond to insure he was introduced properly to the other dogs at the daycare. I was a nervous wreck after drop off, but it was nice to be able to view his progress via the webcams set up throughout the facility. I was able to watch him exercised throughout the day both inside and outside. After three or four visits, we've seen his confidence build around other dogs. We'll continue to visit since the daily price, and facility, can't be beat. Plus he always comes home good and tired. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!!! I have a 5 month old puppy, and this day care was on the way to work for my fiance. We would bring his food so he could be fed once during the day (we wanted to have him fed 3 times a day when we started using this facility); the staff didn't give our dog his food, and I could tell they never even took the food out of the bag to attempt to feed him. We went back a few times because he seemed to get exercise and it was convenient for us, and we moved him to twice a day feedings so that wasn't a huge issue anymore. However our most recent trip was the last straw. My dog was also bit by another dog while at this facility. The bite was so bad he needed to get multiple stitches to close the wound!!!! When they called to inform us of the bite we asked if the bite was close to his eye, and if it would need stitches. We were told that it was not that bad, that it would not require stitches, and that it was not near his eye. Based on what we were told we waited until early afternoon to get our dog. However when we picked up the dog we saw the bite was in fact very bad (again multiple stitches to close the wound), and it was roughly 2-3 inches from his eye. When I spoke with the owner he told me "Dogs will be dogs" and while he did offer to take the dog to the vet; he completely downplayed the extent of the dogs injury and his need for care and made us feel that a visit to the vet could wait. He also stated that stitches wouldn't be necessary. When we picked up our dog we were told the staff was doing "paperwork" to let us know that we signed a waiver and that any vet fees (roughly $200 to have him stitched up) would not be covered by the day care. I don't care about that though; I care that our dog was clearly in pain for a long period of the day because the staff members did not want to tell us to full extent of his injury. What bothers me more than anything is the staff cared way more about how their business appeared and their potential liability than caring for my dog. Putting my dog in a situation to get bit by another dogs and not supervising them is bad enough and shows a lack of care in doing their job. I pay a dog day care to watch my dog, keep him safe, and supervise him. They clearly did not do that. However what really kills me is that my dog was in pain for most of the day because of the owner and staff's inability to properly convey the extent of his injury, and the owner made sure his staff informed us he was not liable for any injuries due to the waiver we signed. There are plenty of other dog daycares in this area. Please learn a lesson from my experience and choose another daycare than this one. read more

When my wife and I got our springer spaniel puppy, Hudson, I was very hesitant of bringing him daycare. I did not like the idea of having him spend an entire day "locked up." However, I ended up giving in and we started to bring Hudson to Top Dog. The facility is great, with indoor and outdoor play areas and I absolutely love that I can check in on him with the webcams. Every staff member that I have met is awesome and knows Hudson by name; they usually are already in the back getting him before I can even walk through the door. When I drop Hudson off, he eagerly runs right inside and doesn't even look back, that's how I know he loves it. Thanks Top Dog! read more

When we adopted our first dog we were worried about her being home alone while we were at work. A friend recommended Top Dog DayCare to us. We were not sure what to expect but we liked the idea that we could check in during the day on the web cam. The staff is always helpful and keeps up updated how how the day went. I can not say enough nice things about Top Day Daycare! I drop my dog Dobbin off and he is always greeted very warmly. The place is clean and well kept. The staff is amazing. You can tell they care about the dogs that are in there care for the day. They are very careful on matching dogs up in different groups. I have the utmost confidence my dog is in excellent care while there. As soon as we pull up he starts jumping around and gets excited. As soon as he is in the car at the end of the day he is sound asleep from running around all day. I will continue to bring Dobbin there and feel confident he is well cared for. read more
