I contacted Kyle to ask if there was any possibility the water could have come In Through the roof. He said he would get back to me. Later that morning I contacted the power company to request inspection of the electric meter. Before I heard a response from the power company, Mark from Honest Abe texted me to tell me he was 90 minutes away and was coming to inspect the roof. I told him we could wait until I found out if the meter had a gap that could've let the water in from the side of the house, but he said he wanted to come and check it out and make sure everything was in order. He didn't have to do this, but he came and inspected the roof which was as expected fine. He did find, a nearly half-inch gap around the electric meter, which is where the water came in during the storms. Mark went to the local hardware store bought a sealant, came back and sealed the area around the meter and checked the inside circuit box to make sure that the water was minimal and it was safe. None of this had anything to do with the roof and yet he insisted that it was an easy fix And resolved the problem. This is a quality company who provide a quality service more importantly, if there's even a question about whether there might've been a problem with the roof stand installed, they sent their technician out immediately, and the gentleman solved an unrelated problem. Vee and Kyle performed a 16 point inspection and confirmed a roof replacement was best. Roof replacement happened October 2022. The same month we advised our roof was leaking in the same areas prior to roof replacement. Honest Abe came out to "repair" issue. They came out over 10-13 times to fix this issue since October 2022 - UNRESOLVED!!! Let's fast forward to May 2023 "We Are Still Experiencing SAME Leaks" after a whole roof replacement. Are we as home owners upset, ABSOLUTELY!!! We paid $50,000 / Honest Abe received their money - WHY CANT WE GET A NON LEAKING ROOF???? The 1st picture is as of May 2023 - can visibly see roof deteriorating because of leaking!!! OH WE HAVE A GUARANTEE FROM HONEST ABE. They stopped trying to resolve the issue! They given up! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and honest not like some other roofing companies with many 5 stars reviews on Yelp. He provided us with the lowest price. So we decided to go with Stratus Roofing. We glad we made right choice and are very happy Stratus Roofing's work. The whole process went super smooth from contract sign to permits application to roof installation to final pass the city inspection since Sergio had us covered. Sergio is always available whenever we have questions during the process by phone or text. The company did a great job of an entire removal of old roof and replacement with GAF ROOFING SYSTEM. They completed the job in 2 days. The site manager Hector communicated with us to keep us updated during the whole installation. They cleaned up yard and checked for nails. I called around 5 different companies, and they all said I had to replace the roof and could not repair it because of my roof's age. I finally found Fiddler's Roofing which was the only company that was honest and told me my roof did not need to be replaced. They completed the repairs with no issues. Moving forward to 2022... I had a leak because of Hurricane Ian. I contacted Kevin, and he immediately went and inspected my roof. The whole process from the beginning to the end was super smooth. From the owner (Kevin), Alexis and Ruben were all professional and a pleasure to do business with. The delivery company (not Fiddler's Roofing) caused some damage to my driveway and within 15 minutes Kevin had filed a claim for them to cover the cost of damages. Kevin works for his clients not against them. I was guaranteed a completion date of December 23 or there would be a $250 penalty for each day after. Well, they were only 3 months late and of course, the general manager said the letter which was signed by the salesman would not be honored because he would never agree with that. Well, he did sign it and he was the one negotiating the contract and was the only company person involved at the time. After the installation, there were a few things left which were to be completed and I was waiting for the production manager to schedule them but before that happened, I received a notification from their attorney demanding payment in full for everyone. The money they demanded also included 2 skylights and they only installed 1. The one they did install was over a utility room and not the kitchen which was contracted and had to be moved. I sent them a check for everything except the one skylight to the address on the contract but could you believe it, they moved. It took 2 weeks for them to get the check. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!
