Apple fritter, marshmallow cream, double chocolate, chocolate glaze stick
    Maya M.

I've been going to top donut since I was very young. It is such a staple on a Sunday morning before watching football. I took my partner there for the first time and he absolutely adored the donuts and all honesty, -I am not a sweet lover. I'm not a fan of donuts at all, but other donut places like Dunkin' Donuts, doesn't compare at all to the quality and taste of Top. The store itself is clean and looks like a small bakery. The service is extremely fast. The workers are always attentive. If anything there's at least two things that you must try from here ,the first being the marshmallow donut which has a decadent vanilla cream in the middle covered by a flaky yet rich, glazed donut. The second would be the apple fritter . Again,- I'm not a fan of a lot of sweet foods especially anything apple flavored, but it has such a faint taste of fresh apple. it tastes like an upgraded version of a fried dough mixed with apple pie. I've tried some coffee and bagels over the years as well and they are delicious. 10/10 would recommend .

French vanilla Iced Coffee with mocha

This was my first time trying Top Donut as it's a little far from my home, and I never really pass by this part of Lowell much. I told the worker it was my first time here and she kindly suggested me drinks and showed me a variety of flavors. Because Dunkins is the closest to me, I usually get an iced coffee with French vanilla swirl and mocha swirl, so I wanted to see what the difference was over here. She told me the French vanilla was brewed, so that's definitely a difference. I got a French vanilla iced coffee with mocha and regular cream and sugar. To my surprise, it's not overly sweet at all, contrary to how I look at Dunkin customers who get 20 pumps of swirl knowing how sweet it is. There's no crazy after taste, the coffee is very smooth. If I ever (and I probably won't) try drinking coffee black, I would get it here. The donuts are so fresh and the perfect amount of sweetness. Glazed donuts are like a staple, and theirs is the best so far. It's huge, but fluffy and soft, and the amount of glaze is just right, compared to Donut Shack's overly sweet glaze. And you can tell it's freshly made everyday because of that slight taste of oil, unlike Dunkin' Donuts manufactured taste of their donuts. The shop is big enough for a bunch of folks to just hangout and sip on coffee and nibble on their donuts. Feels very homey on the inside. In conclusion, I'm going to have to travel the extra mile to get coffee next time!

Donuts here are good! -3 stars because I ordered some other donuts which they put in a bag and found a hair in it. The guy told me "it's not my hair" instead of the usual apology. They should wear hairnets here!

My sister and I went to Top Donut to get some tasty treats and overall it was good. We got your standard strawberry frosting, glaze, Boston creme etc. Service was quick and friendly. I also got a hot chocolate that hit the spot! Recommend.

$36 for 2 dozen mixed donuts. A little pricey to me but they were very good. The butternut ones are my favorite. Maple glazed are good too.

2.5/5 Pros: -Inexpensive -Lots of options, including old fashioned donuts -Parking -Restrooms (though oddly, they are single stall requiring keys and yet still gendered. For maximum utility, they should be changed to "restroom 1" and "restroom 2.") -Seating -Nice staff Cons: -Some donuts are dry and the glaze is a little too sweet or has a sweet aftertaste -- Few patrons inside around 10:30AM and a short line on a Saturday. Staff recommendation: marshmallow filled, chocolate frosted, honey dip $8.50 for 6 donuts and a cinnamon twist Glazed Chocolate Cake Glazed chocolate cake donut. Light glaze with a slight crisp on the exterior and soft interior. In between dry and moist. Not overly sweet. Coffee Roll Yeast donut in the shape of a cinnamon roll, with cinnamon inside the layers. The yeast dough was light and fluffy. Light glaze that had a bit of an off-putting sweet aftertaste. Plain Glazed Glazed yeast donut. Also light and fluffy--similar in texture to a Krispy Kreme--but a bit too sweet. Boston Cream Chocolate frosted yeast donut with vanilla pudding inside. Good amount of filling, but couldn't really taste the chocolate. Glazed Old Fashioned Glazed old fashioned cake donut. Great texture--slight crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, but slightly too sweet. Chocolate Frosted Chocolate frosted yeast donut. Unfortunately this donut was super dry. Cinnamon Twist Pastry dough twisted with cinnamon filling. I thought this might be buttery after having a similar item at Honey Dew Donuts, but this was super chewy and dry and didn't taste buttery at all. It wasn't glazed, which I think contributed to some of the dryness.

Hubby brought home a box of six donuts for us to try. I LOVE lemon donuts, so I was excited to try this one. The lemon donut was actually very tasty. I also tried the jelly filled donut. That one wasn't as good. Normally, I like a lot of jelly, but this one just had too much, and the jelly was VERY sweet. I feel like it needed something in the jelly to counteract the sweetness. I took one bite and couldn't finish. Hubby also bought a plain glazed, a boston creme, a cruller, and a chocolate with sprinkles. He enjoyed the rest of them. I'd definitely go back to get the lemon donut.

After seeing so many pictures of donuts from all over on Yelp, I suddenly had my own "mmmm donuts" moment, exactly like Homer, so here we are at Top Donut for some yummy goodness! Donuts: Honey Glazed Donuts- Fluffy and sweet. I haven't had one of these in awhile so we devoured it within a minute! Apple Fritters- Popped these bad boys in the microwave for 15 sec and whoa baby! Tender, crisp and fruity. Strawberry Frosted Donut- I solely picked this because our half-a-dozen looks lame without a little color. It was okay but I wouldn't get it again. Boston Creme Donut- Pillow-soft texture with vanilla filling and chocolate frosting was delightful. Blueberry Flavored Coffee- My friend was so pleased with this drink. I'm not a coffee person at all but he made me try it out and I have to agree, it was pretty smooth and tasty. Hot Chocolate- It fulfilled my chocolate cravings. I would love to have tried something different but I only saw classic donuts here. Maybe next time!

Half dozen donuts for $7, tax incl! Delicious

The wait was so long and they clearly haven't figured out the balance between managing online and in person orders. An additional person is needed to simply take the orders in house. The person they had on deck this morning was frantically trying to take orders and move food from the kitchen to the online pick up area. Three people making drinks and still backed up making what should have been a relaxing morning tense and unpleasant. I want to be clear that every person I saw was doing their best to make things work and this is a systems issue. I like this place and I offer these comments to encourage them to look at their system and find ways to improve.

Everyone knows that you have to get to a Chinese bakery early in the morning for the freshness and availability of all their wonderful delights. The dessert/cake display case left much to be desired. Again, it could have been that we arrived later in the day but it didn't seem like there was anything pleasing to the eye. Usually I get super excited and over order the typical Chinese sweet treats and end up with a box full of green tea cakes, sponge fruit cakes, mango custard, and sweet rice cakes. I didn't care for anything here except something called the "Triple" baked bun with was three separate baked buns stuck together with custard, taro and red bean filling. The baked buns are displayed on a rolling bakery cart with each group of buns labeled accordingly. There was a great variety of baked buns that included taro, tuna, hotdog, pork, and one that I've never seen before, "Steak & Cheese." We had to get one to try. Prices were a little higher than the usual Chinatown fare at $1.50 or $ 1.75 for most of the baked buns. My husband and I split a regular steamed pork bun that was filled with the usual pork filling, hard boiled egg and Chinese sausage that is common among all baos. I'm not sure if it's because we were already ravenous, but the pork bao was pretty good. I'd definitely get another one. We walked into a cozy space with seating by the windows, a clean interior, and music playing in the background, with a few small touches that made it feel more like a place to hang out rather than just a quick drink stop. The café has a comfortable, unpretentious energy that fits the neighborhood well, and the layout makes it easy to settle in for a bit. The main draw is the drink menu, with a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and slush-style drinks. We found the drinks solid for satisfying a bubble tea craving, but they leaned more on the sweeter side and did not stand out as much compared to some of the stronger boba spots nearby. The flavors were enjoyable, but the drinks felt a little lighter and less rich than expected, with the tea notes not coming through as strongly as we would have liked. That said, the customization options for sweetness and toppings helped tailor the drinks to our preferences. Beyond drinks, Tea-Do also offers a selection of snacks and small meals. Items like the onigiri and takoyaki added more variety than a typical bubble tea shop, making it a better option if you want something to eat with your drink. The shrimp tempura onigiri was a nice choice for a quick bite, with the rice holding together well and the filling adding a good contrast of texture and flavor. The food menu helps give the café more personality and makes it feel like a more complete stop rather than just a place to grab a drink. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it a comfortable place to stop by, especially when we wanted somewhere casual to relax for a bit. The staff were welcoming and handled the flow of orders without delays. The space is not designed for large groups, but it works well for studying, catching up, or taking a break while exploring Lowell. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café is busy, and the energy remains low-key throughout the visit. Tea-Do is a decent neighborhood boba spot that does the basics well. The drinks can satisfy a bubble tea craving, but there are other places with stronger flavors and more memorable drinks. The café atmosphere and food options are what make it worth checking out, offering a casual, comfortable stop that feels more like a local hangout than a dedicated bubble tea destination.

They offer a decent menu with teas, milk teas, specialty drinks, and smoothies. I usually opt for no sugar or low sugar, but even with that, their milk tea and smoothies are just okay. The milk tea, for instance, doesn't have enough tea flavor to balance out, even when I go light on sugar. What I do enjoy, though, are the quick bites, especially the onigiri. It's a great savory option to pair with the drinks. Overall Service: It's fine. I had a quick interaction when I was in person, but I usually order through delivery apps. The food is always packaged really well, with no spillage or mess, which I really appreciate.
