Im a lover for Mediterranean food and this is one of the best places in highland where you can get some of the best mediterranean food. I loved the mixed plate of 3, I got the beef kabab, chicken, and the kefta. They were all cooked very well and were tender, and juicy. The hummus and salad were very good as well. We have eaten here 5 times. We have ordered chicken kabobs, beer shawarma, salad, rice and we have enjoyed each visit. The owner is very sweet and welcoming every time we visit, which is nice, we feel like she appreciates our business. This week we came in for a large side of hummus to snack on and it is wonderful. Every visit our food is hot, includes lots of flavor, and is close to home since we live in East Highland. I went on a Friday and it was pretty quiet. Just two other customers came in while I waited for my takeout. Here's my review. I ordered three two item plates, each with a lamb chop, then something else, including one with chicken, one with beef kabob, and one with the ground and formed meat. Sides in each included a salad, rice, tomato, onion, hummus, pita, and pickles/pepper mix. I also ordered a box of grape leaves. Rice. It was perfect and there was a lot in each meal. Tomato and Onion. Nicely grilled and a nice touch. Came on yop of the rice, and the tomato was a full half. Hummus. It tasted good with the pita bread. Pita. It was basic store bought pita, and was sent in the store bag. Nothing special at all about it. Given the quality of other items, I was a bit surprised. Lamb Chop. These are very, very thin chops on the bone, maybe 1/4th inch thick. They were very tastey and a hit. They are worth a return trip. Chicken. My guest showed a heaping serving of chopped chicken and reported it was excellent. By far, this was the largest portion of the second meat that accompanied the lamb chop. Beef Kabob. My other guest reported the beef had a nice char and seasoning and was tender. It smelled really, really good. Ground meat formed into a log. This meat was excellent, very flavorful and of course tender. Salad. The salad was not particularly great appearing, but it tasted amazing. Whatever dressed the salad was perfect...I could see ordering this salad on a hot summer evening and enjoying its coolness and flavors. The pickle/pepper mix in the side. I have no idea how that was to fit in. It was good, but seemed out of place. Grape Leaves. These were better than store bought but not the best that I have had. The bix came with 7, which is good at $8.95. Our food was expertly packed and bagged, and that is much appreciated. Suggestion: Add some more color to the box of rice and meat. Maybe some green garnish or something to add color. Ideally, use something culturally compatible with the meal. Our dinner for three came to just under $87. While the food was pretty good and the servings will fill you up, I could just about have gone to a sit down restaurant for not much more. This location has a fast-food vibe, but the food is definitely better than most fast food at the big name places. The venue was very clean inside, but did have a cleaning solution odor in the seating area. If you have not tried this place, you should. read more

Had the beef & chicken kabob combo and it was great. Their Baba ghanoush is Smokey and tasty. I love that they package the hot food (main entree) separate then the cold food (side salad, Human's, etc). This makes it so easy to transport for to go orders and/or to reheat leftovers. Establishment is family run and they were all very hospitable. The food....was ok. All the meat (chicken, beef kabob, beef kefta) were dry. The portion size was not adequate to the price. The tahini sauce was overly watered down which left it flavorless. The hummus comes with the meal and it was good. The Falafel was very dry but that is too be expected when it not made in house. The baba Ganoush flavor was passable but wasn't blended well which produced overly chunky eggplant pieces. Right now with all the construction going on it's a little hard to get to. Came here on Friday around 4 and there was no one inside. The restaurant itself is pretty small. I was greeted by a nice older lady and the cashier. I ordered the potato sandwich, vegetarian plate, and a chicken and beef kabob plate. The potato sandwich was actually a couple of pitas wrapped around some potato fries, lettuce, tomato, and pickles with a garlic sauce. It was basically a burrito . It had a strong garlic flavor but I like garlic so I didn't mind. The veggie plate comes with tabouleh, humus, babah ganoush , wrapped grape leaves, falafels and regular salad and a samosa type thing. For the price you should get at least 3 falafels but they only give you two. Everything except the grape leaves had a good flavor. The grape leaves were bland. The kebab plate comes with rice, a big salad and humus. The kabobs were a nice size, you get one of each with a two item plate. The food was good overall but it is very expensive. The vegetarian plate was 19.99 and the other plate was 22.99 I think. For all three was 59$. I'd return to try a pita sandwich but can't afford anything else lol. read more
