Poor quality. A couple of drawers fell apart after a couple years of use. We had to screw in metal plates to keep them from falling apart. Another drawer came off the guide. I left two messages for Kyle for repair recommendations. Calls aren't returned. You get what you pay for. Very disappointed. This review comes a little late but I wanted to share my positive experiences about Top King and their staff. Its been my parents dream to have a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms in the home they have lived in for over 30 years. But with a very narrow budget (folks are retired and in their 70's) we never thought this could be done. And after meeting with several contractors the hopes seemed to diminish I decided to forgo the contractors and went directly to cabinet and granite suppliers. After visiting with maybe a dozen or so these. ..we found Top King. Jerry (who is no longer with the company) promised me over the phone that once I saw their showroom and prices I would not be going anywhere else...well he was right!!!! He was really a pleasure to work with and so patient with mom and I. After Jerry left we worked with Kiet. Kiet too was so patient and skilled at this trade. He took measurents of mom and dads kitchen and bath 3 times to make sure all was perfect and also created 3D Designs of the rooms....just like on HGTV!!! We must have changed our minds 10 times before we selected a final design (actually probably more than 10 ;-)) and each time Kiet communicated with us timely and in writing of the design updates. I thought maybe we might have irritated him because of all these changes and he remained patient, professional, courteous and kind with us all the time. When it came to the install I decided to have Top King do this as well because of the work they guarantee. Boy this was the best move because of the problems we encountered come installation day. While in route to my parents home the granite the installers had on their truck cracked...No problem...Kiet replaced! Some of the bathroom cabinet drawers had hairline fractures after install and did not close properly...No Problem...Kiet replaced and also sent out a different installer to ensure it was corrected to our standard. In all---my folks were so happy with the cabinets, granite and professionalism of the Top King team. We have happily recommended them to family and friends. Don't go here unless you want to waste your time. Dealt with Irene who wasted our time completely. She doesn't follow through and is always saying she is too busy. Go somewhere else where customer service is actually a priority. My folks have been remodeling their kitchen for a few months when they were having trouble finding granite countertops. They went everywhere in Orange County * cough * Tile Mile in Anaheim *cough* DONT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE FOR GRANITE UNLESS YOURE A MILLIONAIRE. Since my folks have a rather large and unusual countertop size, it was difficult for them to find the right size along with finding the right color and price. Unfortunately, all the granites they saw in OC were waaaaay over their budget. Most places offered slabs that were about a grand and even then it wasn't enough to cover their cabinets. I could tell they were frustrated (who isn't when you're remodeling) and I told them to yelp a granite place. Even though they have iPhones, my folks aren't necessarily Internet savvy. Luckily for them, I yelped a place for granite that was affordable (one $ sign, when you click on filters). Amazingly, TOP KING came up and all the reviews were excellent and highly rated. Came the next day (a Monday morning) with my Dad and we picked out a beautiful granite countertop with the right size and a little under his budget!!!!! AWESOME! The lady who helped us was more helpful than anyone ever was when we were looking for granite. She even gave my Dad a deal on top of the already affordable granite. Wonderful! We picked a granite design and color in 5 minutes! The next week, we had it installed. And we can't be happy enough. It looks beautiful. Very very satisfied. The service was not that great. When we came for the birch kitchen cabinet set, the associate kept trying to divert us to the other colors that he may have had in stock. We made it clear to him that we wanted the birch, but he just wouldn't stop trying to up sell the other colors. In terms of pricing, the granite is overpriced here. And honestly, overpriced is being generous. The slab costs are upwards from 250$ and that is insane. Even for a wholesaler his prices were way too high. He claimed that contractor prices are way better, but I hadn't really pursued that option. With all of that, a 2 star review is probably generous, but they did have a decent show room. So I will not take that away from the business. May not be worth going here without a contractor, and maybe worth finding a contractor that will be able to do business directly with these guys. We recently did a major kitchen remodel. After getting ridiculously high quotes from Home Depot and Lowes for our kitchen cabinets, we did a Yelp search and found great reviews for Top King Cabinets. We went to their showroom and met a great designer, Kyle. Kyle was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, patient and attentive to our design needs. The quote he gave for all our cabinets came out to be almost half of Home Depot's which didn't include installation or any extras. Top King's quote included labor, installation, hardware, extras like glass doors and pull out drawers. We were a bit wary about the quality because of the big price difference, but we are very pleased with the quality which is probably better than the large retailers. From the beginning to end, Kyle was very professional, working late at night and the weekends, responding to ALL my questions and changes. I made many changes along the way and he was very accommodating. During the installation, he came to our house every day (and we live over an hour away from their showroom) just to make sure everything was ok and when he couldn't be here because he was on his honeymoon, he was texting and emailing us the whole time. Now that is what I call great service! It's rare that you find someone who cares so much about his work and his customers. When first walking into the Top King showroom we were impressed with the finish work and the prices. The variety and choices aren't that diverse but they have collections that would likely satisfy a majority of potential clients. Their workers were just slightly ill-informed and couldn't exactly answer all my questions as they couldn't tell me what MDF stood for and it's pros/cons over typical wood cabinets. We originally hired top king a little over two years ago and are already considering when we'll have to remodel our kitchen again. This company did come in at the lowest estimate from the 4 companies we got quotes from and I should've stuck with my gut instinct and hired a different group. Cabinet guys:One thing Kyle won't mention to you unless its asked is that the cabinet installers don't speak a lick of English and makes it VERY difficult to relay what you want and how you want it. Although the two gents were very nice, the fact they spoke Chinese made communication a nightmare. Due to this, the finish work was very sloppy and my kitchen island is crooked (about 1.5 inches difference from end to end). They also cut corners on leveling with wedging pieces of cardboard under the hinges of the drawers, performed sloppy jigsaw cuts, and used cheap hinge hardware for the cabinets. Countertop guys: They came next and luckily spoke English but also cut corners with their work. One seam was poorly done and is very noticeable. They too will wedge cardboard pieces between the cabinets and countertop for leveling which is definitely not a long term solution and by the time you notice it, it's already set and too late to correct. Another issue that REALLY irked me is they cut the quartz inside of my house when fine tuning the piece and the dust was EVERYWHERE. I wouldn't recommend this company as I reached out to Kyle after the work was done and he said he will return after his trip to China where he was going to get married. Several times after I have reached out to him to resurrect some of the issues but unfortunately didn't hear back from him. In his defense, a lot of the issues were likely too far gone and couldn't be fixed anyway (such as the crooked island, poor seaming, and sloppy cuts). About two years later, we now have a kitchen with about 50% soft shutting drawers, a crooked island, pealing paint from the cabinets above the stove, scuff marks on drawers that had wedged cardboard beneath, and basically a kitchen that only looks good from about 10 feet away. I'd imagine most kitchens to last 12-15 years after done but I'd give this one a + or - 4.5 years. As a piece of advice, always get at least 3 quotes when getting contract work and NEVER pick the cheapest company. I will attach photos accordingly. read more

We used Top King's services to COMPLETELY remodel our kitchen in November 2014, and the results were outstanding!! My parents met Keit, the salesperson, at the Top King offices in Norwalk, where he created a remodel plan for our kitchen and later provided us a quote with full breakdown via email. As we shopped around, the value Top King offered was the best in the area. When Keit showed up at the house to take measurements for the original plan, he commented that even after all the remodeling, the kitchen would not be "modern" with the way we had it set up. He re-designed our kitchen layout entirely, adding an island where we didn't think it was possible, and increased the number of cabinets and storage significantly. The work to be performed was broken down in to a performance based payment schedule, with the entire job being guaranteed by Keit to be completed in less than 12 days. Keit and his crew kept their word, and they completed the remodel on time and on budget. Couple of quick notes: - The crew who did the final cabinet installations left a lot of markings and the overall appearance was quite messy with smudges and stains that didn't go away easily. We contacted Keit and a week later he personally came with one of his guys and cleaned everything up. We appreciated that. - Simon, one of Keit's crew members who installed the quartz and backsplash, did an excellent and extremely precise job with all the detail work (corners especially). HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went this place to purchase some cabinets and I received the wrong size. I asked to have it replaced but they refused and wanted me to purchase at a discounted price. I didn't think that was fair since I trusted in them to provide me with the proper item. They told me that I "should have checked it." Well for the average person, that's hard to do since the boxes are plain with a couple of numbers of item numbers on them. In addition to receiving the wrong item, the sales rep was rude. I also didn't like listening to him talk down to some of his employees in my presence. I don't know where they are getting higher star ratings from. We used Top King for our kitchen remodel in July 2014. Little late on the review. We worked with Kyle and 5 stars to him! He helped us lay out our kitchen and was very courteous. We also had Top King come out for the demolition and installation. Demolition went very smoothly - 5 stars! There was bit of time lag while waiting for the cabinets. We sent a block of 2 days for installation ( Sat and Mon; because our complex does not allow work on Sun). On the first day of installation I got a call that they would have to work on Sunday or they would be behind on other clients installation. They said they may not be able to come Monday to finish and would have to return later in the week. I felt pressured to allow them to work on Sunday even though we had worked out a schedule with them knowing all this. - 1 star I cleared it with my neighbors and they did install the cabinets in 2 days. He answered all my questions regarding the fabrication and installation process. His estimate was very reasonable and we chose to go ahead with the job. I have had my cabinets from top King for three years. They look really nice and their sales people were really helpful. However after about a few months the drawers kept coming off the tracks and would not lay straight. The company has come out a few times to fix them but they continue to come off the rails. They lay crooked and the company says you just have to wiggle them back into place, but I've watched videos on it, my husband is handy and can't seem to get them to straighten out. It's the most annoying thIng ever. I'm now remodeling my parents house and I will NOT use top king again. read more

We just used Top King as part of the renovation for what used to be our vacation home but is now a rental--so needless to say the budget was minimal and we needed good quality for a reasonable price. We got quotes from Lowe's and Home Depot mid-priced cabinets that came in around the $22k mark with installation. After picking myself up off the floor and pushing my jaw shut, I did a bit of research and found Top King around 4pm the same Friday afternoon. I emailed them, got an immediate reply from Keith Ly, sent him the rough plans from Lowes, and by 7pm he emailed me good drawings from multiple angles and an approx price of $7,500. The following day we drove to Top King. Their premises are modest looking from the outside, but don't be fooled, inside they are very well fitted out with each kitchen version they produce. The choice is somewhat limited, but we found something we really liked without a problem. They also have every tile and flooring combo you can imagine. Keith was very patient and made sure we saw every choice. He came out to the house that week and measured everything. We were very impressed by his attention to detail and the small but important quirks and challenges he noticed and took into account. He made some eminently sensible recommendations (he said sardonically "I see a LOT of kitchens") and within a few days we went back to the store and did the deal. We were so happy with the price and quality we also ordered two vanities for each of the two bathrooms in the same style. We ended up with soft close doors and drawers, quartz counter tops (slightly more expensive but harder wearing than granite) and splashbacks, and full delivery and installation. Just over $10 grand total--about a third of any other quote. We realized we needed other items like sinks and so on--but Keith had already built them into the price. Every time we thought we'd forgotten something it turned out Keith had not, and had built it into the price already. Amazing! Talk about a change from the norm where every time you have a conversation there's an 'extra' that has to be added! Not so with Keith and Top King--he had everything accounted for and the price he quoted was the price we paid. Amazingly, he could have worked quicker than we were ready, so we actually opted for a two week delivery instead of one. On the appointed day his cabinet guys turned up and spent almost 2 days installing everything. They did an excellent job and the cabinets are very well made using plywood, not particle or chip board. The following day the counter top guys turned up and spent the whole day custom fitting the tops, which ended up perfect. The kitchen and bathrooms look like high end cabinetry. To say we're happy is an understatement. Keith treated us extremely well; his experience was invaluable, and he delivered precisely on everything he promised. One cabinet arrived with drawers instead of a door so I called and he immediately said he'd change it; funny enough we then realized we preferred it that way and kept the drawers. We cannot recommend Top King and Keith Ly highly enough. They produce a good quality product, quickly and efficiently, and they do it for an excellent price. If we ever need another kitchen we will buy from them again without hesitation. This experience is how it should be! read more

Kyle was the one who helped us at Top King. My wife took a two-week vacation and has nothing to do. Suddenly she wants to remodel our whole kitchen. I did not expect it nor we have a budget but as the saying goes "Happy Wife, Happy Life". Without contesting I was assigned the task to look for the materials and the people who can do the job. Luckily we found Top King and Kyle worked with us. Very cool guy and did the measurements, explained to us what we need and our choices. Avoid this place like a plague. I've been reviewing here on Yelp since 2008 and have never ran into this kind of horrible service until now. First, the girl that answers the phone and helps you with your order is completely useless. After several attempts to talk to a sales person to verify that I was providing the correct measurements this girl in front assured me that it was pretty straight forward and not to worry. 19 days later I'm concerned that nobody has called me to deliver my granite. I called them and was in shock that they never cut my granite because according to them I gave them the wrong measurements. Wow! Nobody could call me? I finally talked to a sales person called Keith and he assured me that he was going to make things right and cut it that same day but wanted to confirm the measurements with him. I called him and he went over each measurement with me and I was confident everything would work out. Stupid me, they finally delivered the granite and guess what? Yup, it was cut wrong. I patiently called and asked for Keith and notified him that the granite was cut wrong. The first thing he does is get defensive that I ordered it wrong. I explain to him that the tops don't match the measurements he wrote down on the order and that I took pictures of his paperwork when they delivered the granite to prove they messed up. His tone changed and they HAD to send someone to fix their mistake. No Sorry from management, No customer service what so ever. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere. Good luck! PS. We just remodeled our kitchen with Top King. Before settling on them, we looked at prices from Home Depot, ENS, Builders' Surplus, etc. and we felt for the quality of the product we were getting, they were by far the best for your buck. We are not contractors, but just regular folks wanting to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms for the first time. We were very nervous about the whole process and even choosing which cabinet or counter top to get. We actually changed our minds several times. Yet we found the staff there, especially Kiet, to be very helpful, patient, and understanding. During the installation process, we had an issue with the way one of the handles were installed in the cabinet drawer. The installer was not too happy about bringing back a new cabinet drawer. But when we spoke with Kiet about it, he quickly apologized for the installer's behavior and made sure we would no longer have to deal with anyone else but him. They also brought a new drawer and when we noticed a day later another drawer was slightly crooked, they also came right away to fix the problem! Our experience with Top King was surprisingly smooth. Top King is really is as good as it gets! I came here only to replace my old kitchen cabinets, since my budget is quite limited (according to another "bigger" shop). But after their employees designed a 3-D model of my kitchen and gave me the estimate, it was so incredibly affordable! So, I ended up redoing my whole kitchen. A week later, I had a brand new kitchen, cabinet, tiles, counter top, basically everything. Their selection of material was also a big plus, they pretty much offer everything like mosiac, carpet, wood flooring, cabinets, counter tops, tiles, and all the small stuff that comes along the way. I was truly surprised how easy the whole process was. Their customer service is also much better than every other store I've been to. They were super friendly, and they are so efficient too. Quick: I order it on Th night, they deliver the cabinet on Friday, and finish installation on Saturday Morning!! That is quick man! 3. Oh... Did I tell you that they install, adjust the granite for free? My handyman or a tile guy cannot install the Granite correctly because they dont have the right tools. HD/Lowes will granite contractor will charge extra to deliver and install the vanity!! Cons: 1. Yeah, that is granite from China, but to me granite is granite :) Note: They mainly do Kitchen remodel, and too bad that I find them after my kitchen project started. Kiet was great to work with, and he brings years of experience, so he came up with ideas to how best to utilize my space and make it beautiful. Initially I had not planned to do the granite counter top with them. But, after working with Kiet, I felt very comfortable to get that done as well, and the granite fabricater did excellent work. TOP KING IS THE ANSWER! I WAS BLOWN AWAY! After interviewing close to a dozen kitchen and bath companies, Yelp led me to Top King. Their prices and workmanship were unbeatable. I especially want to acknowledge Carmen for her guidance and impeccable customer service. She creatively helped design our new kitchen and it looks outstanding. Beautiful new granite and cabinets with enough $$$ left over to buy and install beautiful laminate wood flooring throughout our first floor. We receive complements on all of Top King's work and I love knowing that we got such a great deal too. I'm referring my friends and am saving up to do more work in our master bath. I used Top King for the cabinets for my parent's kitchen remodel in Lakewood,CA and I was extremely happy with the results. The cabinets were of excellent quality and the price was fair. The installation staff was great and were very experienced in what they were doing. I want to commend one of the staff, Alan. Alan handled our transaction from the picking of cabinets and countertops right through the final installation. Alan was professional, prompt, friendly, and responsive. This place is reasonable the price is way lower than any other stores that i went to. The quality of the cabinets and granite countertops are close to the high end. The workmanship are top notch. I gave them four stars only due to time of completion that wasn't done on time and i was having a hard time communicating with the installer. Ask for Allan he is the one who takes care of the design and cost. I highly recommend him he's done a great job for us. read more

Called to ask for estimate to renovate my bathroom. Guy answered and said they don't do renovate they only change the vanity! I read reviews saying they had their bathroom renovated. Whatever they're reason was dosent matter . I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
