Me and my friend went there today, and my nails came out absolutely horrible. Firstly, when we walked in they seated us on separate sides of the room. My stylist got started right away, but my friend waited at least 10-15 minutes for hers. However, my stylist took so long that she got finished way before me. The stylist, Billy, kept getting up and walking away in the middle of mine. Once mine were under the drying machine, they rushed me to pay so much that I left with my nails wet. 4/10 of my nails are smudged and creased. For the price, it was definitely not worth it. After reading all of these great reviews, I scheduled 5 appointments there for myself, my cousin, and some family before her wedding. I called 2 weeks ahead and made the appointment. We got there at our time, full chairs, no one was free, and they didn't even have us on the books! They said they would try to work us in, weren't sure if they could get the mani and pedi both done for all of us. We went to LA Nail in Northpark mall and got right in with great service. read more

I have been getting my nails and toes done by the owners and their staff for many years. They are the BEST!! I highly recommend anyone to go here, they are funny, friendly and do an awesome job. They keep their establishment clean and they always try to accommodate, even when they are very busy. And I don't know how anyone could think they are racist, they are not! read more

I've always had great service in this clean, friendly salon. Unfortunately the service provided to a woman my age who drives a nice car is a bit different than that provided to high school girls. I made an appointment for my daughter and a friend the morning of homecoming - 10 am - just an hour after the salon opened. It took over 30 minutes before they were helped. I know it is homecoming for several area schools which is why we made appointments. The girls could have walked in and been helped just as quickly. What should have been a fun morning for two seniors has now become stress filled as they worry about being late for hair appointments, etc. Very disappointed and I don't think these two 18 year girls will readily choose to return to this salon. I would think an establishment that caters to women's beauty would not discount customer service to young women due to the potential future business they could give the business. read more

Horrible!!! Very dirty and not a lot of nail polish options. I had a manicure and it chipped 2 hrs later. My regular manicures will usually last 5-7 days with no chips. Will not come back here again! read more

Visiting from out of town. Shellac about $20 more for mani and pedi than my normal place in VA. Mostly good result though some smearing and low selection of shellac colors. Really nice attendants though! read more

I've been happy getting my nails done here for the last 3 months. I fact, I previously wrote a 5 star review on this location. I can usually walk in and get my nails filled right away. But the last 2 times I've been there, I've been told to come back in an hour. That doesn't bother me as much as the service I received today. I was nicked on nearly every finger as the man who was doing my nails seemed to be looking at everything but my hands. He seemed aggravated when I paid with my debit card even though I tipped more than 25% in cash. Their 'policy' is to tip only in cash and I was told in the past that I needed to tip in cash, so I did. When he was done he walked away from me without putting me at the dryer or saying goodbye. I kept thinking he'd come back to tell me to sit at the dryer but he never did. I won't be going back. read more

I took my sisters-in-law, mother, and myself here to get our nails done for my wedding. Terrible. I called the week before to make a reservation for my party of 5. The woman on the phone sounded exasperated and acted like she didn't have time for me. She sighed into the phone several times while I was making the appointment. I should have run then. When we arrived, they acted like they had no idea we were coming and had to wait just as long as the walk-ins. Other reviews talked about being offered a drink, we never were. I saw their drink cooler, but was never offered a drink. The only person I saw be offered a drink was a woman who had been sitting at a manicure station alone for over an hour and was threatening to walk out. The pedicure was ok. I had acrylic nails done. Five of my nails were bleeding when the woman was finished. The women then blamed me for the incident. My sister in-law got a manicure and was cut so badly they couldn't get the bleeding to stop with just a paper towel. Instead the man proceeded to use some type of glue to stop up the cut. He did not ask or inform her before doing this. She said what ever he put in her finger was extremely painful. My mother chose to leave a smaller than average tip because of the service she had received. I was not finished with my nails when she left. The staff then proceeded to question me when she would be back to finish tipping. AVOID THIS SALON. Terrible service. Sketchy practices. read more

I never write reviews but I literally downloaded the yelp app to specifically write a review for how horrible this place is. I was looking forward to coming in to get my eyebrows and nails done. When I came in, I asked for my eyebrows to be done and a lady took me into the room and got the wax ready. Having never been there before, I asked if they did threading and she rudely told me no, go somewhere else for that. I was caught off guard by her rudeness and I asked to talk to the manager. He informed me that the lady didn't even do eyebrows, she was a nail lady. I couldn't believe it, if I hadn't asked to talk to the manager, she would have done my eyebrows and she wasn't even trained for it?? He didn't even apologize and told me to come back tomorrow. I will never go back and will not recommend this place with their beyond poor service to any one. read more

Well, the last time I was there, I left a $20 tip, this time I walked out! Here is the story. A friend and I returned to this salon for a couple of pedicures. They were a bit busy, but not bad. I was picking out a color and the bottle slipped out of my hand and shattered on the ceramic floor. Polish went everywhere, on my sandals, feet, capris, and even splashed my hand. I felt terrible, was very sorry, but, instead of being helped by the staff, I was told very rudely to set another bottle down (I had one in my non-dominant hand.) I was offered absolutely NO assistance, NO concern from ANY staff, if I had been cut by the glass, or assistance with getting the polish off of my shoes/clothes/feet/hand. What I did get was the nastiest look from the man who seemed to be in charge, and a disgusted look from the man at the register. After getting a paper towel myself to clean off my shoes, and then getting another dirty look, my friend and I left. We went to another salon, Gel Nails, and that's when I was kindly given some acetone to get the now dry polish off of me and my clothes. I have never been so poorly treated by such a rude staff, I would NOT recommend this salon at all! read more

After reading some favorable reviews of this place, I decided to try it out after having a couple of frustrating experiences with my normal place. Overall, I'm glad I did and have been back several times for shellac manicures and pedicures. The staff is friendly when you walk in, but could be friendlier when they sit down to do your pedicure. Most of the time, they have failed to even say "hello" or introduce themselves and just get right to work on your feet. I'm not chatty by any means and prefer not to talk during my pedicures, but a cordial hello is always nice. The only other major complaint I have is that they like to incorporate the removal and application of shellac while you are doing your pedicure. I hate this. When I'm getting a pedicure I like to turn on that massage chair, read and relax. But with the foil wrapped all over your fingers to soak off the shellac reading becomes impossible and then to have to have someone working on your fingernails towards the end of your pedicure also takes away from the relaxation. I wish they would simply ask if you are in a hurry that day. They could offer to do the service during your pedicure if so. Otherwise, I have to believe that most people would prefer to be left alone during the pedicure to enjoy it and then move to the manicure stations for their hands. I'm sure they like to do this this way because it helps get people in and out faster which is better for their bottom line, unless they want to offer me a discount on services, I'd prefer to enjoy both separately and in full. While these two things are negative, I promise the rest of it is all good. Wonderful pedicures with nice long massages at end and the shellac always looks flawless and they have about 100 shellac colors to choose from. My shellac with manicure and pedicure comes to about $58 without tip. I will continue to go back and just ask them to do my shellac services separate. Enjoy! read more

Good job but bad business! The staff is friendly, quick and do a great job. I've been here several times and received a gift certificate for a pedicure for Christmas. I forgot to bring it with me three times and by the time I went to use it - it had expired 6 months before. The manager refused to honor it but then relented and gave me half of what the certificate was worth. Apparently they need to read up on Iowa law code 556.9. section 2b: "Notwithstanding the time limitation in subsection 1, a gift certificate redeemable for merchandise only that is not subject to an expiration date and that is not subject to a deduction from the face value of the gift certificate for failure of the owner of the gift certificate to present the gift certificate in a timely manner, or subject to any other charge or service fee, which card remains unpresented, shall continue in force and be eligible for presentation for an indefinite period of time, and shall not be subject to a presumption of abandonment." With SO many nail salons out there - this is bad move on their end. read more
