Absolutely terrible job I asked for a gel pedicure with acrylic on my two big toes and the lady (I forget her name) said she was able to do that. The acrylic was not filed down so it was so thick and it was severely uneven from my other toe. She cut me on right side of both big toes while trying to clean my cuticles. I am currently writing this review in another nail salon because I was so embarrassed about how my toes looked. First time coming here and was very pleased with my results ! The wait wasn't very long and i was acknowledged as soon as i came in. You see this lady right here? Lena is her name. Nasty attitude...very nasty attitude! Her nail technician messed up my gel manicure and pedicure on January 9, 2019. When I asked them to fix it, Lena told me not to come back that very day, and the next day (the 10th), Lena told me not to come back to her salon again. She also said that she doesn't see anything wrong with my nails so she's not going to fix nothing, regardless of the obvious mess-ups to my nails. I wish that I could show the video that I took of her getting nasty with me and my friend. I wish I could give her 0 stars. I had to get my nails re-done at another nail salon a little over a week after I got them done due to the gel nail polish chipping and my natural nails (that she filed in different shapes) with the acrylic breaking off. This place was the only one we found locally open until 6pm on Sunday so we went there. My daughter, friend and I. The man who did my nails appeared inexperienced he kept saying wait, and going back, also I wanted an ombre effect on one nail, and he said no problem but he messed up the powder several times and had to buzz it down and wipe it off. It ended up being very thick (these are my real nails with gel manicure and the thick one looks fake now.) My daughter just had hers painted, but the woman who did it cut her one nail too short, almost to the quick, and it was very sore. She told her to put a bandaid on it at home and didn't even mention it to me at all! My daughter told me when we left!!! This place made me so mad. On the website it says they opened at 10am so I drive up because my boyfriend got me a gift certificate. It was 45 minutes away from me. I get all the way there and they're closed on Tuesday's. How is a business able to claim they are open online but have the hours on the door that are completely different then online. Unprofessional. This nail salon is definitely off my list. I got there at 9:55am and waited until 10am to walk in since that's what there hours say. When I walked in, I had to wait a little shy under 2hrs to be seen. Two technicians (one being Lena and the other was the guy) walked in around 10:30am. Lena did my mani/pedi for my baby shower and it was horrible. More than one of my toes nails were crooked after she "shaped" them, another toe nail had a tapered cut, not cut straight, and she did her own design on my big toe nail and because I was already running late to my own shower I told her it was fine. I even asked her to take off the old acrylic tip on my big toe because it had grown out and she said I should keep it. Now on to the manicure... there were bubbles under the acrylic, it was sloppy, and she cut me 3 times on 3 different fingers. I will never come back here again one because they don't listen and have their own opinions on what you're paying them for, and secondly because of the overall service. I've been coming here for about 5 years now and I love the work they do. The staff is very nice and I'm always satisfied each and every time I come to Top Nails. The place gets very crowded, especially on the weekends and sometimes even during the week. I got my nails done Monday afternoon and by the time I left there were people waiting to get mani/ pedis. When I first moved to Delaware this was my go to spot to get my nails done. I go back and forth between North Jersey, so the last time I got my nails done was in NJ. I went to Top Nails today and told him I want them the same exact way and already had a coffin shape. My nail tech Peter was upset because his previous customer walked out without paying. Due to that he was rushing my nails and kept telling me how I'm his last customer and he is going home after that. My nails are horrible. They are uneven, the gel polish is so thick. All i wanted was a glitter ombré on the tip of my nail. I paid him upfront due to the last customer walking out. I guess he felt bad cause he redid my nails. Took the polish off an redid them. I did appreciate that gesture, however they still look a mess. Uneven, weird shape. That was the last time I will be coming to Top Nails. What a waste of $55 read more

I have been coming to Lena for over 10 years and every time I come here, I know that I'm getting the best manicure. Lena and her staff work hard and do a great job. They are accommodating where they can be and will fix any issues without a problem. I know there maybe some negative reviews but that is NOT THE NORM. Lena the female at the desk right next to the counter is rude. She speaks in Vietnamese to the other staff members about her clients because she thinks they are the only ones who understand her. This is what she does when she doesn't want you to know she is talking about you. Then she turns, smiles in your face as if she did or said nothing wrong. She should know in todays day and time many languages are taught, learned and can be translated, including Vietnamese. Sometimes she's even rude when addressing her customers in English. I've seen a few people give it right back to her and/or get up and leave. When someone is providing a service that you're paying or willing to pay for, you deserve to be treated with respect. Instead she talks down to you as if she could care less if you stay, go or never come back. The kicker is she is not even great at doing nails or brows; unless she picks and chooses who she takes her time with. I've had both nails & brows done by her once at separate times and both could have been done better. Havent since. I prefer someone else. But.....after this last experience with her attitude and mouth, I wont be going back. She also talks down on other area salons as if hers is the best. Not! I've been to better. I was going here due to the convenience of it being closer to home, but she reminded me that convenience is not always best. i've always had problems when i came here but decided today to just go since it is literally in my neighborhood and i just wanted a full set. i got put with lena who off the bat was incredibly rude. the first nail she put on was crooked so she literally ripped it off and broke my actual nail under it. after that she was just rude to me and being extremely rough and was filing my nails so hard she was bending them backwards and made one of my nails bleed. she also put the wrong color on my nails and then when i said something she disagreed with me. when i went to pay i did not leave a tip and she literally ripped the receipt out of my hand and said nothing to me. she was also on the phone with someone the entire time she did my nails. extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. would not suggest coming here and specifically suggest not being put with lena. read more

I called in advance to make sure I could get a mani/pedi at the same time because I have a short lunch break from work, and they said they can and to come right in. When I arrived, I confirmed at the front desk that I was here for a mani/pedi at the same time. Then, after I picked my color, the pedicurist said they don't do mani/pedi at the same time. I let her know that the gentleman at the front desk told me twice that they do, and she got the manager (Lena) to see if they had permission to do it. This is not my go-to place for nails, but when I can't make it there Top Nails is my backup spot. Pluses: they have a number of operators, a wide range of color options for gel, and they're open 7 days a week. Minuses: customer service & rude clients. During my last visit I noticed a number of issues. A woman came in to complain about the way her nails were done and got into a heated exchange with the owner. The owner ultimately resolved the issue but it wasn't handled well, in my opinion. Also, a number of people came in 30-45 minutes before closing time and were turned away. That's their right but maybe put the closed sign on the door or something. Lastly, the person who worked on my nails was all set to give me a French manicure that I didn't ask for. When I corrected her & showed her my color choice she said "Oh, you changed your mind." I told her I didn't change my mind. Not really worth haggling over but it annoyed me.
