03/16/26 - Knorr's Car Care Center Saves the Day!…read more We had a horrible experience with the Walmart Auto Center in New Port Richey and hope to save others from the same. Three weeks ago, we had an oil change done at the Walmart Auto Center on 54 in New Port Richey. Before having the oil changed, our car didn't leak oil, at all. After the oil change, we noticed that it was leaking oil a lot. We took it back, they looked at it and they said they couldn't tell where the oil was leaking from, even after cleaning it off and checking the plug and oil filter. The Manager claimed that she had run it for about an hour while watching it on camera and saw no leaking. She also said the oil level was fine. Today we noticed it was leaking even more and when we checked the oil, it was low about a quart. We took the car to Knorr Car Care Center to have them check it out. They were able to get to the car today and immediately identified that the oil filter was not installed tightly and wasn't sealed, AND the oil drain plug wasn't in all the way. They were able to immediately resolve the issue and said that the diagnostic cost they quoted us covered the cost of taking care of the problem! We have found our new local auto center and will be recommending them to others as well!

The bright sunlight also caused my new navigation system screen to have too much glare. I originally decided to buy a solid roof from a Corvette parts salvage company that I found on eBay. I found a roof in their listing that looked like it was in perfect used condition...so I placed my buy now order. Within a few days of placing the order I realized something was amiss. Instead of showing that my freshly-purchased roof panel was on its way to me from Mississippi, it had been delivered already to another address in MS. After a few calls and e-mails, the seller announced that FedEx had screwed up the scanning of my roof and had assigned the same routing number to two items. One was delivered already, but my roof was still in transit. The short version of this story is that FedEx lost that roof somewhere between Mississippi and my house in Florida...don't ask me how because no one will ever know. It just went away. While I was fighting with the seller to get a refund...yes an e-mail battle...a friend recommended Corvette Shop & Supplies. He said he liked the shop, and that they sold used Corvette roof panels. I only live a little over an hour drive from their location, so I drove over to the shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had at six roof panels like the one I needed. Of course, they did not have a black one...so they would have to paint the panel for me. I paid them what I had paid the eBay company for a used roof, and left. That was three days ago. Today, I picked up my freshly-painted used roof and was pleasantly surprised. The roof looked like a new one. The clear coat was flawless and the headliner did not have a single mark on it. While a technician was installing my "new" roof, he observed that my key entry door lock did not work well. I decided to have him replace both key locks. It took him 10 minutes to get the job done.. This shop is definitely on my list of places to go for Corvette parts and service.
